Roddy's ten bells was the first time I heard this too. I'd been listening to this song for over a year before I realised that Greg Holden was Greg that I used to work with at McDonalds years ago. He was playing guitar back then and he was without exhaggeration, one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Crackin fellah.
How this hasn't reached even 1,000,000 views is beyond me. Suppose it's because it's about treating other with kindness and not full of self absorbed nonsense. Thanks for the inspiration.
Jonathan D. Lopez Because unfortunately, people are more worried about Drake and Meek Mill. They're worried about "Whipping and Nae Naeing". Instead of listening to talented musicians that are making music that actually MEANS something.
Did anyone else notice that if he wouldn't have done that one kind act, his grandfather wouldn't be alive because that one kind act lead to a chain reaction of kind acts, which also saved the doctors life. This shows that if you do good in this world, you will get rewarded, some way, some how. Beautiful song and beautiful video. I really needed this right now..
I'm teaching this song to my middle school chorus and I showed them the video! I hope it makes them better people. And I hope that's okay, Greg Holden! It's a beautiful song with a cool video and a wonderful message. Buy this dude's album!
It's a shame I've only discovered this great song with meaningful lyrics because of the unfortunate passing of the late great Rowdy Roddy Piper... Thank you Roddy for the many years of entertainment you gave me and all the other WWE fans, you were one of kind and will be sorely missed... :-( And thank you to Greg Holden for such great and well written song and rekindling this auld buggers faith that there is indeed still genuine talent & skill left in the world of music... :-)
8 months ago (November/December 2020) I first commented on this video and spoke about my Dad, who is fighting cancer and last year, Covid. He refuses to leave this life yet, especially when he feels he has more to do. He has survived one brain surgery, rehabilitation twice (when he was in the hospital with Covid, his leg muscles atrophied), and now he has to undergo a second round of brain surgery to remove a growing tumor in his head. Moreover, he has told me he worries about the tumor removal being in a part of the brain that affects personality. I gently reminded him that no matter what, he is my Dad, I am his son, and I love him. I don’t know what will happen, and I worry about this second round, but I am going to try to hold out for hope, as I want him to be there when his next grandchild is born, this upcoming December. I take nothing for granted, because I just don’t know how long we have it.
Today my precious my precious father would have been 94. He left this realm five years ago and this music would have been his by his mantra.. He had bone cancer and I had the privilege to spend the last five months of his life by his side. He refused all pain medication because he wanted to be alert and in his own of mind until the very end, He could not sleep so our nights were spent talking. He was always an amazing man, however, I discovered the man beneath the father. He would not allow tears as he said over and over how blessed his life had been. He had no regrets, was never fearful and encouraged me to live with freedom and know the value of all lives. This man brought me into the world, taught me how to live in this world and taught me how to die. On this day I dedicate these wonderful lyrics and words to him!
I heard this song piping in through the overhead speakers a few days ago in the Ross store, which was a nice distraction from the screaming kids shopping with their parents (who weren't doing anything about their child's behavior). I asked Siri "what song is this" so now I have discovered Greg Holden and have been given a great reminder to have gratitude for my life and what I have, and don't have. The video made me giggle a little bit - my daughter recently lost her drivers license so wouldn't it be nice if someone turns it in. Also, a few years ago, my husband saved someone from choking by administering the heimlich maneuver. I wasn't there to see it, but when he started by saying "I bent a woman over a table at Golden Nugget" I was a bit jealous, then he told me she was choking and he saved the day. Anywhooo, I see this video is from 7 years ago so I am glad to be refreshing the comment block. An artist never knows when their music might touch someone.
This video is wonderful and beautifully created. The impact of the song makes it more appealing with an inspiring video. This should definitely reach 1 million views. :)
Beautiful song. My family and I buried my Grandmother yesterday, she was 89 yrs old. Wonderful Woman and a great Friend. I'm going to miss her very much. This hit home like no other. Glad I found this.
If anyone out there stumbles in the dark in search of lifes meaning here in this inspiring music, lyrics and video hides the meaning of life, the whole humane affair at its finest. Perhaps its all coincidence and then again perhaps it is not. Choice is yours.
Extremely powerful and very inspiring-beautiful all the way around. Grateful it has finally been viewed over 1.35million times at last! Excellent tribute-RRP lived in a beautiful home in the countryside-Bald Peak area in Hillsboro, Oregon from 1985-2015 less than 15 miles from my childhood home. RIP
Me too. I've been watching the tribute videos and going to the actual songs they used to see wrestling fans paying tribute to the wrestlers and Men's Gene. Wrestling fans are the best! ❤ Ultimate Warrior, Dusty Rhodes, Eddie Guerrero, and Roddy Piper RIP.
I heard this song for the 1st time today in the store. It did something to me. Thank you. I won't take my life for granted. I needed to hear this at this moment. I hope this song helps many people to appreciate life.
The universe lead me here... I was at a point in my life that I needed to see this video and hear these lyrics (2 yrs ago)... this song is uplifting while being realistic... I adore this song.. ill play this till i leave this body! Thank you to all involved with making the lyrics as well as the video❤
WWE brought me here such a great song for Piper #RIPHotRod when I found out the passing of Rowdy I cried 😭 😢I couldn't believe it I felt like Dusty Rhodes passed away a week ago and then Piper on Friday 😔.We will miss you Piper but you will awalya be in our heart . 🙏❤😔
The first time I heard this song it didn't make much of an impression on me. But then I listened a few more times and it resonated with my experience as a cancer survivor. Now I get very strong feelings when I hear it, and I don't know if I could explain it to anyone else. It means something to me, and I'm glad I found it.
The best music video I've ever seen, or even one of the best videos I've ever seen. Great song, powerful message, displayed in the perfect way. Amazing!
I thought this was gonna be another one of those "chain-of-good-deeds" videos (which are really nice to watch in their own right.) Then the twist happened during the last few seconds. What a message. Fantastic song too.
This is an amazingly beautiful song with a truly heart-touching meaning. It has helped me through a tough time recently. This video is my new favorite! It made me tear up!
Your songs are amazing my man, the combo of instruments with your vocals is beyond description. your music definitely moves my spirit. Thank you for the great musical contribution to the world.
Amazing, I love the video but what's more important is the message. If more people realized the way they treat people really does affect their life it would become more commonplace. I love this song I stumbled upon it on Spotify and I've kind of been listening to it like every day for several weeks now.
love this song, heard it on the local alternative radio station a while back. And this video, wow! The video is such a great representation of the song's message and the things we all don't realize that lead to the events in our lives. We forget sometimes what a delicate balance exists making it possible for all of us to live here on Earth and how the slightest change in one thing can impact the way another unfolds.Brilliant! the song and the video too, both superb.
This is the song I heard on June 15th 2015, my cat had died suddenly with no warning, his hind legs weren't getting enough glucose because there were blood clots in his heart, we had to put him down, every time I hear this song it reminds me of him and I cry. RIP Charlie Larsen Don't take any life for granted.
omfw.... I had such goosebumps through this whole song, and then when I realized that it was his dad that was in hospital I burst into tears. Just goes to show, that what you do for others will ALWAYS come back to you in some way or another.
Can you believe this song wasn't number 1 worlwide, it is one the most optimistic and uplifting song I've ever heard, is a shame people choose to listen to other songs that have no meaning whatsoever, this is the message we should be spreading in the world, Greg you are truly an inspiration, Can't wait for your next album
This song has made me think twice about a lot of things. "When I look at myself....who do I see"? "The person I've been or the person that I'm gonna be"??? RIP Hot Rod!!! Miss you every day!!! :'-(
I just wanted to say how glad I feel just listening to this song and watching the video. After listening to a few of Greg Holden's songs it has been inspirational. I've grown and been brought up in the 2000's era and I just feel that the music these days are recycled and nothing new really. However, after watching this video and listening to this song I'm glad to know that there are people whom could still produce "good music". The most simplest moral and words yet I feel it's the best of all times. Greg you beat every single top 10 songs that's in the radio. Weeeee, keep it up!
I have loved this song since the 1st time I heard it and the video only enforces that. Tears! Such an uniting, uplifting song when the world really seems to need it. Thanks, Greg Holden!
Usually I'm really upset with youtube for adding to my playlists songs by artists that I've only listened to once, and only to one song, but I'm really happy about this. Found a new (for me) great artist!
Heard this song during Roddy Pipers tribute video on Raw. My aunt past away a few months ago, I included this beautiful song in her tribute video at her memorial service. It brought everyone to happy tears.
I don’t take my life for granted, I’m gonna hold on tight to what I’ve been handed That lyric made me cry because it tells you to love your life and appreciate the good things in your life
Видеото е много добро, както и песента. В този век тези ситуации вече изглеждат много фантастични, но аз вярвам и знам, че има все още такива хора, определено доброто е един доброкачествен "вирус" - дано носителите да се увеличават. Bulgaria
Have already watched it a couple of times and will watch it again and again. I cant say this song has changed me, or made me a better person but it surely has made me think about life as whole, i am forever indebted to you for this melody, these words, Thank You. :)
Thank you WWE for introducing me to this quality music. #RIPHotRod
That's why I subscribed your channel brother you are great pro wrestling fan like me love you brother

Thanks for the inspiration.
I'd bet it's on its way. It's very moving, I can't watch it without tears. Really really good.
Jonathan D. Lopez it will now.

Wonderful song, strong message. Thank you Jake, 'Motorcycling across America.' Love it.
Most underrated song ever
Piper. I honestly can't go through this song without crying. He was such an inspiration not only to me but to everyone.

One of the genuinely nicest people that I ever met. A quality man.

Yeah, everybody noticed that
What comes around goes around, his kindness saved his grandpa’s life.
I'm teaching this song to my middle school chorus and I showed them the video! I hope it makes them better people.
And I hope that's okay, Greg Holden! It's a beautiful song with a cool video and a wonderful message.
Buy this dude's album!
This should be required viewing for everyone on the face of the planet.

This music video is so touching, I teared up watching at the end.

If all mainstream songs are like this, we'll probably have a better world. Cheers Greg Holden . very uplifting song.

Whenever I feel ungrateful about what I’ve got. I listen to this song to make me humble again. I’m thankful for everything I have
This is literally my favourite video and song ever. I don't understand how this isn't already a top hit. More people seriously need to listen to this.
This is a beautiful song with such a positive message!!! Thank you Greg Holden!!!
This song and this video. Every. Single. Time.

Awesome music video. I hate when people say that there is no good music these days is just that everyone is listening to the wrong artists
I have been playing this song to everyone today. What a great message.
I thought this was gonna be another one of those "chain-of-good-deeds" videos (which are really nice to watch in their own right.)
Then the twist happened during the last few seconds. What a message. Fantastic song too.

Saw this video for the first time on my birthday weekend on Positively GAC. The timing is so perfect!!
Greg, what a kind soul you are. Sirius Pulse told me about you today! So thankful. Love your work!
Amazing, I love the video but what's more important is the message. If more people realized the way they treat people really does affect their life it would become more commonplace. I love this song I stumbled upon it on Spotify and I've kind of been listening to it like every day for several weeks now.
This video is just perfect!! So good to hear and see how much you've grown and evolved this past few years! Can't wait to hear the whole album
I can't keep shedding tears!
This the most beautiful music video I've watched in years.

Heard this for the first time tonight on the Voice - brilliant wee song. 😊

This song has made me think twice about a lot of things. "When I look at myself....who do I see"? "The person I've been or the person that I'm gonna be"??? RIP Hot Rod!!! Miss you every day!!! :'-(
God Bless this man. Thanks for the positive message.
The circle of goodness!!! Great theme!!!
Wow, what a great song, great video, great lyrics. Totally blown away. Didn't think that this type of songwriting still existed.
Thanks. I'm bawling right now. The ending was amazing and so powerful. I love when people pay it forward.
Greg Holden - Excellent song! Well done...
