Noodles is a terrific punk guitarist. The riffing and melodic sound on Ignition and Smash is some of the best in 90s punk if you ask me, great guitar work on all their records but especially on those he sounds brilliant. Some metal influence in his playing.
Didn't Tom DeLonge pull the same stunt, a 'basic, simple" signature-model guitar with only one volume knob and nothing else, something you'd just plug in and play without messing around with lots of knobs and switches... and being a Fender Signature model, it cost a small fortune? The whole idea of punk guitar playing is that it emphasizes energy and vitality, not fancy gear, a signature model guitar from a punk musician strikes me as being a bit over the top. Mark Knopfler signature model, sure, but a punk guitarist?! And I love the Offspring. :)
Ok disclaimers first: yes I have several Ibanez guitars and love the "brand", secondly I enjoy Offspring as great pop/punk songwriters... However (there is always a however!)....this is just a remake of the "Talman" version of the "Noodles" model from the 90's...remember the one he had Ibanez make that was covered in grey duct tape FROM THE FACTORY?!?!?..I like the guitar as smaller "tele" shape and is close to the "St. Louis Blues" brand from early 80's except for extended lower horn...ugly!!!
Why does this hack still have a signature Ibanez but you guys ignore so many much more talented and relevant guitarist?? I mean, the fucking offspring? It's not 1996, who cares anymore? Seriously..
TheEric1203 You're right, talent has little to do with it. It's about selling guitars. I guess I'm just surprised that people are still buying an offspring signature these days.

Aww, who doesn't love hearing the Noodley one talk about his guitar? So freakin' adorable!
Noodles is an underrated guitar player. He can shred with the best of them. Their music doesn't lend itself to shredding though
Good punk rock is more about playing really well written songs, not really showing off technical skill. To each their own, though.
The Ibanez NDM4 looks good
I have the first two models, I need this NDM3... very nice guitar
Does anyone know where you can still get the guitar?
I own the ndm1 but this new one is really awesome!
I want so bad this noodles guitar.

Any advice for a A rhythm guitar player who is Arthritis.

What the fuck does talent have to do with it? There are probably lots of kids learning guitar who love The Offspring's tone.

Cryptopsy666 True. Although I'm still a novice myself, so I like watching a lot of these to get ideas for where I want to look for upgrading my gear
+higler420 Does anyone care about you and your achievements? Probably not.
