Even though he isn't dead. Doesn't mean he doesn't deserve a tribute for his wonderful work. He puts his time and effort into his films and they are great. Well now that he is, it makes it even worsening to listen and see his work. Not as a bad thing, but more nostalgia and the fact he has done this for so many people.

i can kinda see why u would say that but i wouldnt say the "greatest". i would say its one of the most iconic and most classic animes of all time. but definitely ranks really high.

I grew up watching Hayao Miyazaki's films. It was such an adventure for me to discover the world he created through his films. Watching this is so nostalgic and somehow I miss my childhood.
I remember the first time I watched Spirited Away was at a cub scout lock-in and remember being both scared of it but also amazed by it. It just fueled my imagination and was so beautiful. It was also very funny and cute and so many other things. It’s just one of the best movies of all time and will always be remembered. I will always keep it in my memories and my heart. ❤️
I'm not even half way through the ghibli movies, this is truly the best studio of all time. Not one movie is less than the term "good" or "great". They are all legendary stories hand made carefully with love. Thank you ghibli and everyone who participated in it.

I grew up on Ghibli. It sparked my love of animation, and my love of film making. I wouldn't be alive without it, as I discovered it during a very hard time in my life. I'll never not cry at When the Wind Rises, never not sing along to Ponyo and Totoro, never not get chills when Chichiro walks over the bridge for the first time. I'll never not want to ride with Sen on her Wolves, I'll never be able to watch When Marnie was Here without sobbing. These movies made me who I am today. I wish I could thank Miyazaki myself for what he's done for me.
