I have shaved down there just once and I must say, it wasn't uncomfortable at all. The finish was very smooth too. The only thing I didn't like was the growth post shaving. Man, it itches like crazy when the hair starts growing.

To answer your question, yes it is for the skin but what I have found out is that if I moisturize daily the growing hair tends to be softer when compared to when I do not oil the area. So the itch is bearable and I make sure that I shave as soon as the hairs are of a suitable length. I also scrub to prevent any ingrowing hair. And make sure you are using a good razor so that the shave is clean. I hope it helps. Have a wonderful day.

Very nicely explained!! One thing: It's not the vagina that is shaved! It's the pubic bone, outer labia, and inner labia that we shaved. The labia also known as the "lips" to some. The clitoris, the peeing zone, and the vagina are covered inside by the labias/lips. The labia protect these three zones against harmful things. 👍

Thanks for the tip❤️ A little tip from my side, I know it itches when the hair grow back, so for that shave 2-3 times a week. It doesn't take a lot of time because hair growth is less. You just need to glide the razor and it's done. You don't need to check twice. And this gets done in about 2 mins. Even if you have busy schedule, take 2 mins to shave it off.
Applying Olive oil and then shaving using a razor also helps. I have tried it and it doesn't give me rashes as I'm prone to rashes. Also it works like a moisturizer. Do not use soap on that area for at least 24hrs to avoid rashes or itchiness. Just clean it with water.

Being a healthcare professional I have seen people (young mostly) come with infection, cuts, irritation, swelling, ingrown hairr bcz of shaving. I love the way you explained everything. Some facts I'd like to share. 1) We all at some point shaved due to hygienic reasons, curiosity, personal reasons or just as regular practice but you start feeling itchy and pokey on the 2nd day and there is no denying. Ul want to scratch and some do and end up having infections and burning sensations. Do you want to keep shaving every other day? Or just wait until the hair grows back and start the irritation all over again? 2) you dont have to shave! Leave it be!! The hair grows for a reason like Miriam said. Research shows that shaving causes vaginal infection and skin irritation. I will never recommend shaving. 3) still concerned? Trim! Trim! Trim! (Best option. No pain and still hygienic) 4) not satisfied? Go for a wax (Its gona be horribly painful the first time) If you want your hair to grow back slow and thinner go for a wax. Once in 2 months will do or even longer. If you are uncomfortable dont do it. 4) laser hair removal - if u want to. Shaving cause skin irritation and SKIN DAMAGE. Dont ruin your sensitive skin. It has lots of chemicals which are not suitable for sensitive areas and some complain of darkening skin and irritation while some use them often despite. Personal preferences.

The symptoms should go back to normal after a week or so and if it dsnt plz visit a doctor they might prescribe creams for reducing swelling and inflammation. If untreated can lead to vaginal infection. Following steps like the video or not, bacterias are being introduced regardless.

While every step you explained I'm thinking 'yes.. exactly...' and I could relate to every thing Anyway, one more thing very important step I feel you missed is closing the opened pores before moisturising. What I usually do right after dabbing my lady with a soft towel is grab some ice pack or something cold from the fridge 🤭 and place it and dab it all over down there. The cold will close back the pores and so less chances of ingrowth and irritation. One important step I learned from you is to use conditioner in alternate to foams. Thanks! 😊

What I usually do right after dabbing my lady with a soft towel is grab some ice pack or something cold from the fridge 🤭 and place it and dab it all over down there. The cold will close back the pores and so less chances of ingrowth and irritation.
