Thank you for the recommendations. I am still a relative novice (22 series over 3 years). My first one, which got me into K-drama was "I am not a Robot". Utterly ridiculous plot about the FL pretending to be a Robot but the ML somehow not realising that she is a human!!! lol. However, the chemistry between them was amazing. On top of comedy & romance, there were quite few very emotional scenes as well. YES YES to "Oh My Ghost". In my top 5. I watched it last year, and I thought it managed to have a really great overall balance of its themes. The main actress was great, effectively playing 2 roles. But, I also was very engagged and touched by the secondary female character story and arc. I think if one get past the joke about virgin Ghost and all that, her story is rather emotional.
'I am not a Robot' is a *classic* just thinking of it makes me want to make a sci-fi recommendation video. Have you seen 'Are you Human 2?', if you liked 'I am not a robot' I think youd enjoy 'Are you Human 2' ^_^
yessss I really enjoyed '18 again' as well and thought about including it here but ultimately decided I would put it in a future Time Slip recommendation video here's my ep. 1-2 first impression for '18 again' if your interested: ruclips.net/video/h4YV1iPAzK0/видео.html
@@MarieMaurerKdramaReview yeah, it is still considered time slip. I dont watch a lot of fantasy, in general, but that's the one I really like. Actually watched 18 again because of your review/recommendation video. Thanks. Will check out some of these fantasy recommendations. Kudos!
@@MarieMaurerKdramaReview I realized I don't have a specific genre as my go-to. I could watch a zombie series to something like My Liberation Notes to a romcom like Touch Your Heart. I do hope you can make a list of Kdrama series which are actor, director or writer specific. For example, writer Park Hae Young or actress Kim tae Ri's top drama series.
The first Kdrama I watched was Playful Kiss and honestly I hated it. The female lead was so immature and the male lead was toxic. I'm greatful that I didn't give up on trying new Kdramas because the second one I watched was ablsolutely amazing and got me addicted. The second one I watched was You Are Beautiful. Now I have a list of over 400 kdramas I watched over 10 years 😅
My first kdrama is Remember. At the starting point of the series hero remembers each and every detail and at the end point he doesn't remember anything/anyone.
My first drama was A korean odyssey - A fantasy romance. Totally nuts and charming, I love Oh yeon-seo, she is such a cool actress seems like the male actors had a lot of fun filming.. love it, and i do rewatch it... also people want a season 2. (Disclaimer iam Danish, so my english is not perfect) Moon lovers scarlet heart ryeo, loved it. 💔❤️🩹💔 IU is lovely in this drama. And last another favorite.. Legend of the blue sea.. Jun Ji-Hyun is a clueless but badass mermaid.. (i said i was Danish.. we understand mermaids).. and this one is funny, and mystical.
I havent gotten a chance to watch 'A Korean Odyssey' yet! Its on my list for sure, it looks full of supernatural fantasy elements :) 'Moon Lovers scarlet heart ryeo' will definitely be on a possible time-slip recommendations video 'Legend of the blue sea' is a favorite of mine. I didnt highlight it here because I feel like I recommend
Happy 2023, Marie. I’m at home sick w/a cold so watching kdramas lol. I just finished Ep 1 of Reborn Rich on Viki. It’s listed as Fantasy, though I’m not sure why. It’s already had a ton of views because of Song Joong Ki lol. Have you watched it yet?
Really loved Alchemy of souls and find the beginning of Arthdal Chronicles not really interesting...don't know if I will continue to watch it. There are some fantasy kdramas I also really loved: Hotel del luna, The King, While you were sleeping, W - two worlds apart, Angel's last mission: love, Doom at your service, Meow the secret boy, Extraordinary You, My love from the star, See you in my 19th life, Tomorrow, Memories of the Alhambra.
I hard a really hard time finishing Alchemy of Souls part1... but part 2 was amazing! Arthdal Chronicles was similar, you have to invest a bit of time before it gets really good
I am obsessed with your hair cut. It looks great on you.
Oh thank you! its a fun change :D makes me feel like im in a 60s drama haha
Thank you for the recommendations.

@@MarieMaurerKdramaReview Thank you. I will certainly check it out.
if you do, let me know what you think :D
Trust me, Master’s Sun is the best supernatural romance k drama. I rewatched it too many times
The first kdrama I ever watched was Revenge Note 2 then Revenge note 1
Haven’t rewatched it yet but I think I’ll do so next year hopefully 😹😹
The world slip.. Is masterpiece ❤️❤️❤️thank you beauty Queen 😊
I reeeally like "18 again" which I think is in the category of magical realism.

I havent heard of 'Remember' before, is it also a fantasy? :)
It is a suspense thriller. Yoo seung ho and park min young are the main leads.

네, 저는 다 장르 좋지만 공포가 싫어요. 저는 아기처럼 ㅋㅋㅋ
