Very nice video with complete details I was seeking. I have grown one from seed and it's about 2 feets now. Will follow fertilizer steps now once to boost growth
U should add lot of cow manure .1/2 cow manure 1/2 soil then it will grow very fast
Great video explaining how to grow guava in container. Guava is my favourite fruit and I have a terrace so I will be planting 1-2 plants soon. Thank you.

@kim ly, Most welcome and glad I could help! Thank you So much for watching and good luck with your plant 🙂🙂
Lol, i wanted more info on growing in the cold climate, got more questions on eating skins and if to eat or not. Anyhow i watch the entire video keep us posted on the green house
Thank you for watching...I am from very hot and humid area and don't have much knowledge about growing in cold climate. Regarding your question - No, there is absolutely no need to peel the skin before eating (considering they are grown 100% organically. If any pesticides have been used while growing or on fruits, it's better to peel the skin and wait for at least 7-10 days before consuming them). Actually, Every parts of a guava is edible. Thank you for watching and please let me know if you have any questions. Other than environmental factors (like cold climate), I would try my best to answer you, thank you!
Thank you for sharing your happy moments with me 😍
You are most welcome n thank you so much for your words 🙏

@Darius 21, I am glad to know I could help and thank you So much for your words, really appreciated! Sure, you can definitely prune your plant to make it more bushier. But after pruning, please don't forget to fertilize your plants so that it can grow vigorously. Wish you all the best!

@Abdurahiman Kiliyadanmoochikkal, Thank you so so much for feedback, much appreciated. However, I am sorry for the late response...was away due to some personal issues :-(
Thank you buddy. I am definitely buying this plant this week from a nearby Nursery.
@Deepak Kashyap, Most welcome and I believe you have planted already :-) Good luck :-)
@@GardeningUpbeat I was a beginner. I knew nothing about planting. I started taking interest in gardening because of Sushant Singh Rajput. He was such a briliant actor, yet he wanted to do Organic Farming. Ever since this news came into TV, I started searching more and more about Organic Farming. Post several days of research I found out that one can make a living out of Organic Farming, eat healthy and live healthy too.
So I subscribed few gardening channels on RUclips and by watching their videos, I was able to learn a lot of things about Home Gardening.
Now I also know why our potting trees are always dried up and do not produce any flowering throughout the year. My Mom thinks potting flowers only need water to grow. She has never given our plants anything else except water since last many years. This is why all of them are dying right now. They may be cursing us for not being a good care taker.
I really want all my gardening trees to grow healthy again and not die due to no feeding. Last Sunday I went to Priya Nursery in Delhi and bought these following trees :-
1. Allamanda
2. Tecoma
3. Gardenia
4. Madhu Kamini
5. Rose Tree
6. Ixora
7. Baara maasi Nimbu
8. Mussaenda
Guava tree is next on my list now. They didn't have good quality guava trees. But the owner assured me next time I will visit, they will surely have more varieties of guava trees. Hopefully I am buying that very soon.
And guess what I did today. Today I drove 40kms on my scooty and got these following things for our plants-
1. 20 kg Vermicompost.
2. Fungicide
3. Neem Oil
4. Neem Khali
5. Sardo Khali
6. Coco Peat
7. Bone Meal
8. NPK 19-19-19
9. SSP FERTILIZER
10. Seaweed Granules.
11. Epsom Salt
12. 15 pots(8,10,12inches)
13. Potash
While I was coming back home with all these items. My Scotty was shaking a little but luckily I reached home safely 🤣
My Mom also seemed a little angry but I know after some time, she will be fine 😅
Tomorrow I am going to do my first ever potting. So wish me luck brother.
And thanks for spreading your knowledge. You are truly an inspiration for many of us. Keep up the good work.
@@GardeningUpbeat Sir what if we bring the tree from nursery. Either it is grafted or by seed what time did it take to give fruits.
Good evening 🙏
Wowww,,,sooo mny fruits in dis small gwava plant ....
Ur all techniques r marvellous 👌👌👌
I want to ask,,,,when u hv grafted n after how many days u hv planted it...
Ur all videos r very useful n inspired...
By d way thnqq so much for sharing dis vdo 🙏🙏🙏
@Baijayantee Sethi, Good evening 🙏
Thank you So So much for the feedback, much appreciated!!! However, I am sorry for the late response...was away due to some personal issues :-(
Actually, I got the plant from Nursery itself...you can see the black polybag at the time of repotting. They propagated it by air layering method. For Guwava, mostly air layering is done as it's easy. Hope, I answered your question.
Thank you once again for your words and I would be uploading many more videos in coming days...Happy gardening and TC :-)
Nice video.thnx bro
Enjoyed watching your tiny guava plant grow and produce fruits and finally Missy plucking the fruits. I too have a large guava tree at my place planted in soil and it has been producing very tasty fruits since July and till now we have a regular harvest of 1-2 Kg of guava. But this year some fruits have black dots on the outer surface and I can't get what the problem actually the plant is suffering from. Looking forward for your valuable suggestions dada.
@Sukanya Kakoty, Really sorry about the late response, was away due to health issue...Glad to know you too have Guava trees and harvesting on a regular basis..The black spot - it's a fungal disease actually and happens sometimes depending on various factors like climate..hope, it gets recover soon. Or else, you can try using any organic fungicide :-) Good luck :-)
Should we cut girst grown flowers.
Thank you for your video!
I also have a guava tree in my home, it's has been around more than a year and now it is as big as a tree but it is not giving fruits so i want to ask that does all guava trees give fruit or not?
It takes lots of patience
I am surprised at how small the pot is that you put the guava in. Is it really ok to put it in such a small pot? I guess I do see them at the nursery with fruit on them, but trying to figure out my strategy. I have a yard, but don’t want to have a 12 foot tree with big roots unless it’s one of the few. Food for thought!
Thankyou beta,I want to know how to care my pomegranate fruit in a pot, which month is best to prune gauva plant.
Wow watching your video while eating guava 🤓🤓 hate off dada 👏👏 you are awesome 🙆
@Monti Dutta, That's great to know 🤓🤓 I am really very sorry for the late response, was away due to health related issues (wife was in hospital). Anyway, thank you so so much for the feedback and you are awesome too, TC :-)
@@GardeningUpbeat ah never mind😊😊 I hope your wife is better now🤞🤞🤞 take care of her
Sir, I am from Guwahati too. Can you please upload a video on the care of flame violets. Please sir.
@Aradhana Bhattacharya, Sure, I would try to do it :-) Thank you and I would appreciate if you don't call me Sir :-)
Please make video ,lemon, chikoo, mango ,and apple ber❤️💕
I have two potted guava tree. but it only grow up to flowering stage. then fruit drop after.
I like this idea 😊😍🤩
Thanks you 🤩
Thanx , i need this. Bt your grow bag look big than u told in vid. When to prune it?? Any month or after harvesting?
@Punam Bisht, Most welcome Ma'am and thank you for watching!! However, I am sorry for the late response...was away due to some personal issues :-( For Prunning, Spring is the best time..but mine are hybrid Guava and they produce fruits throughout the whole year. So, can be done at anytime. But, it's better not to prune when plant already has few fruits which are yet to matured enough. After complete harvesting, we can prune it :-)
Thanks for sharing
Super video
@Madhuravagi madhura, Thank you so so much for feedback, much appreciated. However, I am sorry for the late response...was away due to some personal issues :-(
I got guava plant from nursery and within 2 days of planting, all the leaves have dried out while still green. Stem still looks healthy. What to do?
@Shikha Bajaj, Most likely, rootball was small and it dried out completely! Please repot immediately and it would grow back soon, Good luck :-)

Let me Introduce myself , Iam Dr.Archana Turimella, Iam a physician right now working for COVID, Iam so interested in plants,trees,flowers... Very nice video. Today i planted a guava tree in a pot. Mr. Garden champion thanks a lot for inspiring. 😊😊.
( I have 50 rose trees in the ground for the last 4 years. I want to plant them now in pot. How is it possible?) please reply. 😊
@ABANTIKA ROY, I already replied you once but not sure why it's not showing up here :-( Good to know you also planted in a pot and hope it grows well! By the way, I am far behind being a Mr. Garden champion, ha ha..but appreciate for your kind words 😊😊
I am also sorry for late reply :-( Was away for some personal issues..
50 Roses!!!WOW!!! Hats off to you and it shows who is the Champion here 😊😊 You would like to dig out them and then repot in pots. They would get shock definitely but after some days, you would be able to see new growths for sure!! Good luck 😊😊
@@GardeningUpbeat Thanks a lot for reply. 😊 and don’t say sorry. I though you were busy. And I'm not a champion.😊 I have been learning gardening for 4 years. I am 27 years old. I know something about trees, because i did a post graduate course in botany. But gardening is completely different. You are the Champion in that. Your video helps me create garden. Thanks Again 🌹🌹. If you don’t mind, let me know your name.😊
@ABANTIKA ROY, Thank you and that's so nice of you :-) Yeah, I agree with you..Gardening is bit different and it's totally different when we grow in containers as we control everything...I am really glad to know you are finding my videos useful, thank you so much :-) Nothing to mind at all...Myself Chandan Dutta and if you are insta, feel free to join me there - instagram.com/gardeningupbeat/ It's just related to Gardening 😊😊

My guava seedling lost its leaves. For a while they came back, but now they shriveled and fell off again. I’m actually worried maybe it got too much water, when I look at how dry your soil looks.

I have a large guava tree in the ground.
@Chandra Prasad, Glad to know...
💐💐💐💐🔥🔥👍
I have the tree with lots of flowers but no fruits 😧
Cultivation
I have Grafting guava tree in our garden it gives fruits almost 3-4times a year but it not growing up fast as normal tree ?? Why ? I also have natural guava tree it's grow faster and it's more taller than Grafting tree almost 10x but why my Grafting tree not growing up fast and taller as equal to my natural tree ?? Anyone know about it?? Plz tell me
Because fruit production is most energy required process for plants.
Cut flowers before they become Fruit so that energy can be utilised for Plant growth
