I think the "oily" is called that b/c it has an oiled silent knock. It's also called the monochromatic by a couple of places including tokyo pen shop. It is genuinely one of my favorite pens in the world and I have it in the all black. I love it with a 0.5mm refill
Thank you for these videos. Honestly, you say that it's probably more than we'd ever want to know, but nah man, this is excellent information, almost exactly what I wanted to know.
These pen are cool. I recently got the Uniball Jetstream F series with black, red and pencil which looks professional but not as much as the prime series.
I was placing items in the JetPens cart with the Prim 3&1 being one. Went to the "recommended refills/parts" page to fill up on refills. I definitely wanted a green refill and put one in the cart. I then realized that the colored circles on the pen body are blue, black, and red. Am I really going to pay $45 for a pen that I can't customize according to my preferences? Sure, I could put the green refill into the slot for red and be done with it. I mean, who will know, except me, that the pen holds green instead of red? Well, I would. Gee-whiz; my idiosyncrasies/peculiarities are truly standing in my way! Ha!
what all refills can go into the Jetstream Prime Single Twist? Is is parker style cartridges in general? Is there a pen that you would recommend looking at on jetpens that would have compatible cartridges? Thanks for the help!
As is see in this video, these pens have metal threading. Do they have the same issue as the Fisher Space pens, that they unscrewing themselves inside the pocket?
Did you ever buy one of these? These look like they have more of a durable metal body build. I'm interested in the knock singles and am hoping they might be durable enough to just have as a front pocket carry pen.
Prime single pen is an amazing pen. I could do without the blue jem on the clip. I use this pen for every day use. I'm a police officer and I never had an issue yet
I don't care for any multi-pen having push tabs of the same color, in the case of the 3&1 having all black tabs. Push tabs should be the same color as the ink which is found with the Hi-Tec-C Coleto (still waiting for Pilot to produce an executive style Coleto; what's taking them so long!?!?). If I had to choose a single-colored Jetstream, I would opt for the Jetstream Alpha Gel Grip. It isn't an executive pen but the benefit of the gel grip is a comfort feature I appreciate. I do like the style of the Jetstream Prime 3&1 with the twist mechanism, although I wouldn't mind if Uni got rid of the pencil (adding a fourth color in its place - green) as well as getting rid of the clip's jewel which gives the pen a more feminine look (isn't something I would give a guy). Wouldn't it be my luck that the pen I favor most is the most expensive of the bunch! I always appreciate your videos Sal!

Hey Sal, for the 3+1 prime, can you use 0.5mm refills rather than the 0.7mm? The pen would be great, I just prefer finer lines
Are all kind of jetstream ink the same?
Yes, there is only one jetstream ink

Hey there! Do you prefer the medium or fine Fisher space pen refills?
Missing the Jetstream 4 + 1

I haven't carried it the 3&1 a ton in my pocket, but haven't noticed unscrewing. If so, you could add a very tiny half-dab of BLUE Loctite.

I can't find the 2&1 with the pencil
Might not be sold in the US any longer? I’ve only seen the 3 color pen lately

Yessss. The video I've been waiting for... finally here. 👍👍 Thank you!!!
Funny because I would buy Jetstream Prime only in blue.
