Hey! I just bought the blue Style from my local stationary store for $25,came with the.0.7. I'm super into fountain pens, was into normal pens before, getting kinda back into them now and super appreciative of all your videos! My Energel style had a wobble... Fixed it with a piece of post-it wrapped around the refill, but, I bought the 0.5 needle point refill and prefer the size more and the wobble is less. Thanks again dude :)

Great review. The Prime looks great, especially with what refills it comes with and can fit, but the higher price and weight (30g) have slowed my wallet. I like the Pentel Style, too, but it might be on the heavier side for me (26g). I guess that's what executive pens are like, though I may pick one up. I like a pen less than about the Jinhao x750 weight uncapped (
Let me say first that nothing compares with the smoothness and vibrancy of Energel ink. You're getting the best gel ink on the market, so with this I say you're getting a great writing experience with the Philography. However, the design of this pen was quite disappointing. Besides the metal body, there's nothing about the design that warrants the price. I'm looking forward to the day when Pentel produces a more elegant looking premium pen as I find with the Zebra Grand. The design of the Philography (as well as the Alloy RT) just doesn't make the cut. I don't have an opinion about the Uni Prime One as I've not purchased it; however, from the looks of this video, it compares with the Philography of which I've given my opinion. Waiting and hoping for both manufacturers to improve on design. Thank you for the posting!
The energel is the smoothest pen I’ve ever written with. But I want a cartridge that’s all metal. Is there an all metal cartridge that will fit the energel that is comparable?
not a huge fan of energel ink in general but its weird to me that an executive pen would come with non-waterproof non-permanent ink like energel. I know energel is making a permanent version now I would love to see that packaged with the philography
Another youtuber recommended the jetstream g2 over the easyflow 9000 for the rotring 600 re-release I plan to buy soon. I know you're a fan of the latter, but how would you compare the two? Thanks for all the great videos.
G2 refills do not work for cheap version of pentel energel, because the tip of G2 refill is too broad for the hole in that one. I am not sure about this fancy version of energel tho, because it seems to have bigger hole on the tip. However, G2 will accept all gel refills of this type. I personally use G2 body with energel refills, cuz they are hell good.
@@barrylevitt1170 After testing: No, it doesn't work. In this case the problem is the fact that G2 refill is slightly shorter and the pen doesn't count it as opened and atomatically retracts it.

Energel Philography comes with a .5mm needle point refill, and Energel Style is a .7mm conical.

I have the white Pentel Style that I use with the Zebra Sarasa Vintage colors refills. No problems, the refills fit perfectly.
They should fit Jetstream BLX colors too.

Thomas P you can always get it with an energel permenant refill.. Or replace it with one. They are very cheap on ebay.
Between the philography and the prime single ( _oily_ ?), which one would be your favorite? Not talking about this Jetstream.
I work in pharmaceuticals and we have to use ball point pens only. And I can honestly say the jet stream prime is the best pen I own
