Great use of infernal rapier! i always go for 5 warlock/4 figter/ 3 thief when trying to make use of dual wielding build.. but pure warlock seems to take not only melee but also caster-vibe as well!
This build is great because it also plays into wyll’s ‘blade of the frontiers’ moniker, using both his blades and spellcasting to do damage. I’m gonna respec my wyll and try this out.
I always like a mono Warlock for Life drinker at L12, so powerful with POTB. Gloves of the balanced hands might be a nice option to get 2WF without using a fighting style, if you wanted to be even more mele focused with off hand attacks.
Yeah fiend warlocks are truly versatile! The gloves of the balanced hands are ok as an alternative for extra offhand damage, but I feel the helldusk gloves (or flawed act 2 ver) might do more damage overall as a damage rider with the extra attack + haste/bloodlust than 1 offhand attack.
7:04 Wait, but Devil's Sight does let you see into Hunger of Hadar, as long as you're not inside it yourself. Otherwise you wouldn't even be allowed to target creatures caught in it, right? EDIT: Plant Growth is also diabolical (hah) to stack on top of Hunger of Hadar, cuz it reduces their movement to 1/4. But it would be destroyed by your Fireball, so I guess Sleet Storm is preferable for this build.
Hungar of hadar is a unique form of "darkness" that gets no bonus from devil's sight. So, no devil's sight doesn't do anything for hungar of hadar. And yeah sleet storm is usually preferred over plant growth because fire damage is so common in this game.
I have been trying to debate between doing my first ever playthrough as a warlock custom or wyll because I heard he has a great story and is more fun playing him as it warlock than a custom
I'd highly recommend you use the infernal rapier, but if you can't then you should go for a weapon with a similar effect as infernal rapier, like the sylvan scimitar. That way you scale with charisma.
what weapons you recomend for early game ? should i just use 1 weapon or try to dual wield ? also what stats you recomend if i were to use this on my main character if i were to use something like hags hair ?
Charge bound warhammer works well 2 handed in act 1. You can simply use that with hex until level 8 dual wield/infernal rapier. Kinda tricky using this with hags hair. You need actor for the performance check of harmonic dueller. Makes it less likely to fail.
sick of these videos showing builds at level 12. if i'm looking for some build it's because i'm level 1-4 or 4-9 (act 1 or 2). i don't wanna know what items i need before elder brain fight because, fuck im gonna have them all lol

Thanks! And yeah it surprised me how effective it was, but lifedrinker/harmonic dueller add so much melee damage in act 3.

I would love if these videos included act 1 and act 2 equipment
They do in the "equipment" part of the video. A lot of the alternatives that I go over are act 1/2 items.
So we have Jaheira and Minsc to go. Hopefully can get them both out before Dragon Age!
Lol for Sec i thought the title was, " Wyll Pure Friend Warlock Build"😂
yaaaay wyll is my fave next to karlach

Both work well since charisma is the main stat for your main character!
Do you have other weapon recomendation if the infernal rapier will be used by other party members?

@Crozyn ah i see, ill stick with the rapier. Thanks
Is the dye for the potent robe a modded dye?
No original, maroon dye I think.
