Looks awesome Chef. Think I'll try this next. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, I finally got round to cooking this curry today and can honestly say that it was one of the best curries that I have ever cooked. I was going to use raw chicken, but as I had all of the ingredients to pre-cook the chicken, I decided to try your recipe for that as well. The result was fantastic. Thank you very much.
Love this! Thanks so much 😀😀
Looks delicious! I'm a veggie so would love to try this with potato!
That would work great but try precooking the potato in onions, base sauce and a bit of panch phoran first as that gets great flavour into the potato.
Thanks, That’s a great idea, love potatoes!! 😀😀
Isn’t ceylon supposed to be cooked like madras/ vindaloo with coconut powder? I meant without any service onion?
Thanks for asking, some BIR do with onions and some don’t, i do mine with onions. Thanks for again and hope you enjoy the recipes 🙌
Any chance you could do a nawabi Babul?
Thanks for suggestions mate, all add it the list 🙌🙌
Hi, is the coconut powder a coconut "flour" or coconut milk powder?
Hi Thanks for asking, I use coconut powder, I've found this on amazon for your convenience, most asian supermarkets should have them as well. Its important you get the right as otherwise the texture will be grainy. Thanks again and enjoy

Looks lovely. I've been trying to improve my curry cooking recently and really appreciate these videos. Is coconut powder the same as coconut milk powder ? Many thanks for the video.
Thank you so much and I do hope our videos help you on your journey. Coconut powder milk is different as it will dissolve Completely when cooking whereas the coconut powder won’t and will leave a nice texture, bite and also on this recipe holds the sauce together/it helps makes the sauce thicker. Hope this helps bud. 😀
@@TheBengaliCook Thank you for your reply and the info on the powder. We've got some very good Asian food shops where I live, so I'll be having a look round to find the right stuff.!! Have a great weekend.
Is coconut powder the same as Desiccated coconut or is it finer.
@@markvincent5241 hey coconut powder will dissolve giving you a smooth sauce where as otherwise will leave you with a gritty taste/sauce. I saw some coconut powder in Lidl last week. Hope this helps.
@@TheBengaliCook just ordered some online, thanks for the reply.
I'm not too sure about the coconut powder, I find it always leaves a sort of gritty texture which I find off-putting. I still like the recipe though thanks.
Hey yeah defo agree and am not in favour of it to, I do find this happens when desiccated coconut is used instead of coconut powder (coconut powder is much finer and also when cooked well/long enough ) it should reduce the gritty texture. Cheers again 😀😀
Use coconut milk powder, much finer, you can get it in most Well stocked asian supermarkets
pre pre pre... all you need is pre dadada.
Thanks ☺️
Just a quick question today my friend do you ever add yogurt to any of your BIR dishes while cooking.
Hey bud, hope all is good. So can use yogurt in a Pasanda curry (see video) and also Rezala dishes are cooked with yogurt. Chicken tikka masala sauce is made is yogurt as well (there’s a few different recipes for CTM sauce the one I’ve used mainly has yogurt). Hope this helps mate.
