Very educational. Thank you; I learned a lot about the sport. We have a group of shooters at the club I belong to but I've never attended the shoots. This year will be a must, if only to watch.
I use to shoot CMP matches, until spinal surgery fused my spine, and now I cannot get into the required positions. Now I'm trying to work into long range bench rest shooting.
Hello Sir. Sorry to here about what happen. I hope you keep your hope and faith. What about you being a range officer. Or teach Long range shooting. I would be interested. Peace.
@@terrancemitchell3681 Mr. Mitchell. Don't get me wrong, I still shoot, just not in competitions. I have mentored several new shooters over the years, and am always willing to help new shooters. But at age 70, I don't figure I'll re-enter the competitive shooting scene very soon. As long as I can see the target, and squeeze the trigger, I'll be shooting. Thank you.
That's almost identical to the 200, 300, and 500 yd. Marine Corps qualification/requalification fire, just more enjoyable. And from the looks of it, they're in the butts pulling targets just like we used to! Semper Fi.
@@FUNshoot With us, it was 5v that counts or you're UNQ. We've had M16's to even M4's that couldn't put a group on a small planet until it was zeroed. Eventually. Semper Fi.

scopes should not be allowed in rifle leg matches; just like it should be iron sights only in pistol legs

Is that a TC Contender in the top shelf of the safe?
Excellent video and info.
enjoyed this vid, knew noting about it before.
Outstanding
you can go to CMP and see who is distinguished and who is not. Didn't see MSG Donald Mclester on the list of double distinguished shooters. hmmmm?
Looks like fun.

Except the USMC version uses a simplified course of fire with MUCH larger targets.
