Best quality build for the price, as expected from Meze, warmer house sound, good looks, love the back pattern. Probably this model should be recommended to those who complained about the 109's upper minds and treble. More laid back, but not losing the fun factor. If you're all for musicality and impact you can hardly find anything better for the price. Great job, Sandu!👍
Hi, what are opinions on 105 AER when compared to AR5000 by Aune, I'm stuck between which one to buy and would love your opinion and recommendations. I have a JDS labs element 3 mk2 dac/amp.
how's this headphone compared to Aune Ar5000 does 105 have more bass or good quality bass than ar5000 and most Important how's the soundstage compared to Aune ar5000? I mostly listen to Jpop and many other fun type of songs so I want to decide between these 2 and for 50 dollars more is the Fiio FT5 worth it than 105 ?
Hi! I suggest you check my AR5000 and FT5 reviews and draw your conclusions. All of them are quite different, but I would say that 105 and FT5 are better in all regards. AR5000 are nice as a starting point, but they can't compete with some of the Mid-Fi kings like 105 AER, FT5, Ananda Nano, and Edition XS.
@@Soundnews thank you Im subscribed to your channel. Between Ft5 and Aer 105 which one has better bass and more soundstage ? I also play immersive games so which one will be good ?
@@SoundnewsI watched all of your reviews on ar5000 , ft5 . I always love more bass and warm tonality and I'm a heavy gamer so I need something with fun signature and good soundstage to feel immersed
The Ananda Nano offers greater detail and resolution compared to the Meze 109 Pro, and the same applies to its soundstage. While I haven't tested the Meze 105, based on overall performance, I would still choose the Nano. The main reason to consider the Meze 109 Pro (or the 105) would be if you prefer the tonal balance of the Sennheiser 600 series, which leans towards a smoother, more mellow sound signature. But thats just my opinion...
I will have to have a look at these, my genral use headphones were hifiman 400se but i just purchased the Sony Md1 and have zero complaints . For critical listening i use the Nano . I went with the Aune s17pro on your recomendation and have not looked back . Thanks for the review ..
Thank you, as always an articulate and incisive review. I've long desired the 109's but couldn't stretch to them; though 'a jack of all trades' is often used as a dismissive slap down, the full saying can save the day. "A Jack of All Trades is a Master of None but is oftentimes better than a Master of One."

Hi! For natural midrange presentation alone - organic timbre and vocals - is the 105 AER better than Aune AR5000?
Pls review Fiio ft1 pro
The better question would be: what 105 misses from 109? Where did the extra cost of 109 go?
Wood, vegan leather, driver design/R&D.. Plus the sound reasons he talks about in the video e.g. resolution, bass quality etc.
Just wondering, is the guy same as Slayer from Rennaissance Fair?
