“I’m not bothered about getting kicked I’m bothered about hurting her” that show just how much he loves his job and the cows he gets to work with!
or how well the machine is set-up.
A pretty odd thing to say about one of the most dangerous animals in the world. You can easily end up gored on one of those huge horns. They can shake a 500 pound lion to death, a 160 pound human has absolutely no hope.
That second one expressed her feelings about the whole episode there at the end.
Thank you sharing just a few seconds of the beautiful landscape. Please share more
@Jason Rhodes HD😮⁷ÿÿ try😊
Absolutely would love to see the whole farm and all it does...PLEASE!
Show the farm please.
Plus 1 :-)
I agree. I want to see the whole farm. (Another good video, btw...)
Absolutely second this! PLEASE!
Agreed 100%
Who doesn’t want to see the whole farm footage????
I think we all want to see it! 😄
I agree
More cowbell!
I came for the hoof work (weird new obsession) but stayed for the scenery, the bridges and the Scots humor… and BABIES!
Right!!! I’m so obsessed. I have to watch an episode or more before bed. It’s a compulsion 🤷♀️❤️
@@Christianne-md2ndsame here...I do similar work but I debride humans feet 🐾🐾
Wow, I couldn't believe how tame the 2 girls are. What an episode! Graeme, you need to stop worrying about boring us with your videos. I'd watch them all day long & never get bored or tired doing so.
Your videos are so informative, well edited, humorous & you never miss a chance to educate a person on the importance of how to trim a hoof.
YES, I would love to see the whole operations of the farm. Thank you!
I couldn't have said it any better.. :)
I always see your comments when watching his videos. Your comments always warm my heart
Absolutely!
Very well said!!! ❤
When it takes two people to push you, maybe it's not tameness so much at laziness? Just can't be bothered running away, no point. ;)
Graham! What a compliment to you to have a farmer ask you to come 4 hours away to help him out with his buffalo. Says a lot about your reputation and respect that they have for you. Brilliant!!! I admire your concern for the livestock you tend to and your concern for their well being. Love to you, your family and of course Craig! ❤️🇺🇲
Graeme and Craigie Boy, there is absolutely NO WAY for you two to make a boring video! Seriously! Both of you are natural teachers on camera, explaining what you are doing and why. It’s both of you doing your job, caring for animals, and for so many folks that had have never imagined even seeing the underside of a cow’s hoof, the whole process is fascinating. Thanks so much for all you do!
Of course we want a walk through and milking area and did you say cheese factory? I am here for it!!! Thank you for your kind and gental trimmings. These farmers are blessed to have you and your sidekick!
What they said. Definitely show us the farm. 😃
I would like to share with you,Graham. My daughter is 4 and she asks me daily, “mommy, can we watch the “Cow PG?!” (I love when they can’t remember things and do their best to remember the names). We watch your videos daily. I work in vet med myself and I love the care and explanation you bring to these lovely animals. Kenz tells me she wants to help animals all the time. Thank you for being an inspiration to my 4 yr old. Maybe one day. She’ll take up hoof trimming.
That so adorable! ❤ 😭
These are the types of videos kids should watch more often! He makes it so interesting👍
I think I'm in love with your little one! You're obviously an awesome role model as well as a top notch parent :)
Aww 😆
How sweet ❤😊
Yes please. Would love to see everything with the buffalo. The calves, milking, cheese. Love your channel and what you do for these cows and now buffalo.
I just didn’t know hoof trimming was missing from my life… but I watch as though it’s the most gripping show on TV. Not even kidding. You are AMAZING! 🎉
Yes please!!!
I'm not the only one thinking that way, Julie, thanks for speaking up.
I have no idea why I find it so compelling watching you trim hoofs.
DiDo
I've trimmed human nails and got paid for it. I'm a former cosmetologist. I originally found this channel looking for pedicures. I'm retired now.
At one times I was going to get back into hair and nails, but I have too many health problems, so retirement made more sense.
Actually, people who go get pedicures rarely have nasty feet. People who pay attention to their feet and pay money to have it done aren't nasty.
I think bovine pedicures are interesting.
I am reminded of discovering sheep dog trials up in Cooperstown, NY. They run up and down, every dog doing basically the same thing, but it was mesmerizing, and we watched all afternoon.
That Buffalo left you a parting gift on your way out to thank you for your hard work🤣
And peed herself while he was trimming 🤣🤣
Messy animals...
They shit a lot
A celebratory poo!! 🎉😂
Oh god😅. That’s disgusting, but yeah buffalos are nasty.
@@danielramsey6141they are so not! They are beautiful 😍
I’m in the U.S., so when you said ‘buffalo’, I never imagined Water Buffalo. They appear to be gentler. I would be very interested in the farm, milking, & products. Thanks for all you do. 🇺🇸
You thought that Scotland would import bison?
@@keepdancingmariaTo be fair, in the US and Canada, bison ARE buffalo. If you search Google for “buffalo,” the first result is a picture of an American bison. We tend to use terms like “European buffalo” or “water buffalo” or “Indian buffalo” for the other specific animals. It doesn’t make us stupid that our automatic mind picture is of an enormous humped American bison. It’s just that all our imagery for “buffalo” (whether on coins, football team helmets, or city logos) is the American bison.
Plus, it’s not like these Asian water buffalo are native to Scotland. How is importing bison any weirder? There are even some actual farms in Scotland that raise American bison.
@@VictoriaEMeredith Better to say that Bison are known as buffalo, rather than that they ARE buffalo.
Yes, I know about that. I was only wondering if jackieclark had thought about the fact this is in Scotland, and about the logistics of importing a very difficult undomesticated species (from whom no riches can be made) so very far.
Or if the fact that this is in Scotland, and bison wouldn't be an economically viable choice for Scottish farms... didn't even enter in.
It is a calm question about assumption versus analysis. That's all. Curiosity.
@@keepdancingmaria why would bison not be a source of revenue like anything else? They are raised for food in the US. It’s basically like beef but more healthy
@@stdesyBecause they are already in the U.S....not imported.
Hmm... have you ever seen the infrastructure required on a 🦬 ranch? It's massively engineered, very expensive, and high maintenance.
No money there to tempt Scottish farms. Far more profitable to stick with domesticated animals, such as cattle and buffalo.
This has nothing to do with my question, which only the OP can answer.
I absolutely wanting to see the rest of the farm. You've travelled so far, make the trip worth it 😉😁. Such gentle souls, but yes, definitely stubborn.
Hello 👋 Norma. How are you doing? Hope you are fine. I'm Zack Hudson and am from Denver Colorado, where are you from? You seem like a real country girl
I’m with everyone else when I say I would love to see all of this farm!! So interesting!!
As a life long dairyman I would absolutely love to see Steve’s facility. I would be interesting to observe the changes that were made to accommodate the buffaloes.
This is a pretty special episode, working with these huge animals! I'd like to see how these buffaloes are farmed, if you don't mind taking the time. Great work, Graeme!
Absolutely give a tour of the farm. Love to see all the different types of farms there are. I bet a lot of people don’t even know 😂.
Love the vids!!
You are never boring. I appreciate your thoughtfulness for every animal you work on.
I'm sure the entire farm is fabulous and would love a tour, but I REALLY want to see more baby buffalos.
They were the cutest!!!
The babies were all eyes!
I know those ladies feel so much better after their pedicures. I would definitely love to see that farm! I’m used to seeing dairy and beef cattle farms but water buffalo farm is one I haven’t seen before. Plus those calves at the start of the video are absolutely adorable!
I gotta give it to this guy. He obviously cares about the stock, but more-so his patience with the audience. I can't keep calm when someone claims that it's "cruel" to trim a horses hooves when they've never been within 10 feet of one. So hat's off to this guy everytime he reminds the sheltered folk that trimming is not abusive.
Would these people who think it abusive to trim hooves also think it abusive to trim a paraplegic person's nails? Really, it's basically the same thing. It needs to be done and someone has to do it. Doesn't say much for the thinking ability of these people.
Never heard of anyone saying this, but it's obvious if they knew about cattle they would know their feet must be taken care of.
You’ve heard someone say THAT?? O my god! There are some seriously STUPID City people out there! Can you imagine what ignorance floats around in some people’s grey-jello?
I can’t. There’s too much potential harm to animals hidden in those soft skulls….
@@PatrycjaDrewno1 some new viewers, think hooves are made of bone.
I've actually rode a horse before. Twice, actually
As a bridge nut, I *love* that there's a cantilevered bridge, suspension bridge, and cable-stayed bridge all next to each other. What a beautiful landscape.
Tour of the farm? Yes please! I can't imagine anyone on this channel saying no to such a question! And agreed on the views and landscape... absolutely stunning!
Absolutely would love to see the rest of the farm. Especially the differences between the milking of buffaloes vs. dairy cows
Would love to see the rest of the farm.
Yes Please 😉👍
Agreed
Totally want to see the farm
I’m with the crowd .. show us everything !!
Me too.
Anybody who would be bored with your videos would not be watching them all the way to the end. Keep the videos coming please. I would love to see videos of all the farms you go to but I know that's not possible so we'll just stick with this one!
Of course I'd like to see more of Stevie's farm, I've always wondered how buffalo milking compares to cow milking. Thank you to Stevie for allowing you to film there :) xx
Great to be back at Stevie's farm and seeing how his buffalo are doing (he and his herd were the stars of This Farming Life a few years back). It would be fantastic to see the farm tour to see what changes have been made since then
Let’s see the rest of the farm please. Those buffalos have such gentle eyes, what beautiful animals they are ❤
I have to say that with the exception of channels that are about music, your channel has one of the best soundtracks out there.
Making 4hr drive for 2 animals? That's dedication. Both you, for doing it, and the farmer, for paying for it (as i can't imagine there's not a trip fee), demonstrate a real commitment to caring for these animals.
The last buffalo was so grateful she left you a parting gift. Really respect your work and your sincere care for these animals! 😊🇨🇦
Likewise, I'm a first time viewer to your channel and thoroughly enjoyed the content !! I could even understand your accent - which certainly helps.🇺🇲
I'm originally from Rhodesia where there were Cape buffalo. The water buffalo, I thought, were originally from Asia - I think ? Anyway, it was a great video and I can look for more, I hope ?
@@johnking8679I think half of watching is because I so love the accent!
@@johnking8679, Water Buffalo are from Asia. They have swept-back horns. Cape Buffalo have horns like the gnu/wildebeast, & the musk ox.
I need to say, I've been watching this channel for about a year now and I've learned so much. I never knew there were so many intricacies to trimming hooves. Seeing the differences in the way they walk afterwards, how the "crushes" work, how the different grinder blades work, all of it is simply amazing. The look into your personal life, seeing how much you care for the cows and the people you work with is just a joy to watch. AND the fact that you enjoy a good cup of coffee just humanizes everything even more, lol. Keep all of this up and I'll watch forever!
You said everything. I feel the same way. Love watching all the videos.
A professional that takes pride in his work and has compassion for all animals.
I am so addicted to watching hoof trimming. It’s not about the wounds or pus always but these kind of trims are wonderful to watch. To see a hoof, go from gnarly and looking beyond any hope, to what these cows’ hooves became is amazing. Graeme Parker does this the best of all. I appreciate how he is able to make magic happen with many of the lost causes, as it were, to comfortably functional for them. I know he can’t restore them all as some are beyond repair but he to the best of his ability. Thank you Graeme for being that kind of person.
Would love to see the whole farm and those adorable calves. I'm used to North American Bison, so those buffalo are unusual and fascinating to me. 😁
Oh I agree, when I read Buffalo, I was thinking “oh, wow” then when it showed them I was like, “whaaaaa?” Then I remembered, oh their not in the States 😂😂🤦🏼♀️
Yes! Lol when I saw the title of the video, first thought that came to my mind was wood buffalo like we have here in Canada but I believe these are water buffalo?! I'm actually not entirely sure lol
There are three different animals called "buffalo": 1) the American bison, 2) the Asian water buffalo that ploughs rice fields in Asia (cows and horses would sink into the mud), and gives milk for the real mozzarella, and 3) the African buffalo that has never been tamed and is dangerous.
@@stephanpopp6210 the American bison is a wood buffalo
@@QuimBeeLivingstone I may be deceived by German, but the English Wikipedia calls both subspecies bisons: the Plains bison (Bison bison bison) and the wood bison (Bison bison athabascae). Language usage may vary; after all, the European bison is a forest animal and may lend its name to the wood bison more easily. But what is called buffalo in the US is the same species as the wood bison, only a different subspecies.
Absolutely want to see it! I'm in West Virginia USA so everything there is fascinating to me!
I'm in West Virginia as well!
I’m in WV too. Love this channel.

The look on the Buffalo’s face as you were working on her hoof was priceless. She was feeling what was happening, ok doesn’t hurt, but the suspicion remained. Lol. I so appreciate you. The care you have for these animals always touches me. The second cow kept turning to look at you, was a thank you I think.
I lovvvve his genuine care like it's a job yes but in my heart if he could I think he'd do it for free !!! I respect humans like him with a passion 🩵🩵🩵 Blessing to you and your family!!!
Stubborn animals are usually intelligent animals. They can think and have a mind of their own. Maybe not that best for you, working on them but definitely interesting animals. So yes, Graham, I'd love a tour of this farm!!! If you're offering a tour, it must be different from a regular cow farm so my curiosity is piqued.
So many hating on the "man bun". Why? Its Graham's choice and doesn't change who he is and nobody's business except for him and his wife. I love and appreciate your videos and the education you provide for us. ❤🐄🐃
I'm a female trucker with my husband of 45 years and we've traveled back and forth across America a lot and have been across some amazing bridges, they're absolutely a work of art and I thank you for sharing some of your bridges over there, it will be the only way I will ever see them, through your eyes!❤️👍👍🙏

Graeme you can never ever bore us…you make everything entertaining and I truly do like your explanations as you go about hoof trimming or showing off a farm.
I have to tell you, after watching this video, I figured Texas might have Water buffalo. I checked and we do! So I visited their shop and told them about finding out about Water buffalo from the Hoof GP . His wife watches you too!! Best ice cream ever and the feta was beyond belief.

Definitely would enjoy seeing more of the farm, I have seen Bison and elk farms here in Alberta, it's always cool to see something new.
Would love to see the farm tour. Being disabled and virtually house bound, I tend to live vicariously through people like you. Thankyou.
Same here. Tume to watch others do the work and enjoy my spare time. ❤❤😂😂
I wish I wasn't on disability because I would love to be a member.
I love watching your program as i roamed all round the area that you work in, some of the names of the farms and areas I still remember, however the farm buildings have changed , gone are the old out buildings and biers, even a section of the Aroad is , to me new yet the road as I remember is still there as well. I worked and slept in several of the farms that you visit now. I left Scotland in 1959 , and only got back for the odd funeral and the last time it was after a23 year gap and I actually got lost in what was my home town. I’m an old man now and I know ill not make it back again, so watching your program and hearing the Scots voices and seeing places where I worked will have to suffice, Thank you, and I hope you stay on RUclips for another couple of years
Would love to see the rest of the farm Graeme. And I'm sure Steve was much appreciative of your handy work with those two cows. Well done once again Graeme!! Love from a Retired Paramedic and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn. 💖 🇨🇦 🇬🇧

It's not just standard cattle that can be farmed. You might think other animals are buffalo, bison, elk, deer, moose, antelope, reindeer (caribou), etc. can be farmed. Some animals like moose is not common to farm, some places in the world are trying their hand at it. Reindeer farming is slowly becoming a bigger industry. Much likes cow, buffalo, or bison milk; you can use the reindeer milk for various things. Reindeer meat is high in protein and vitamins, and low in fat. Some people compare its nutritional value to fish.
Advancements are being made in farming various animals outside of cattle.
(Yes, I did a quick search).
@@TheMrCC21 Yep! There's a bison ranch north of my hometown and an elk ranch northwest of that. Their meat is *delicious,* if rather dry because of the lower fat content. They also don't need as many specialized facilities because they're actually *designed* for this climate. Their meat is a *lot* more expensive, though, because of the relatively low supply.
I feel that at the end when she comes out of the crush and starts to walk, that she spends a moment looking back at you guys as if to say, 'thank you, that feels like such relief'. 👍😍🐃
And thanked them by relieving herself in front of them 😂
You have a wild imagination then...
Its an animal, not a human.

I'm a fan from Arkansas, USA! You're my favorite farrier. I'm a science teacher and we were having a "free" day here at school today, so I've been showing my students some of your videos. Also, my son just moved to Glasgow, Scotland to manage a group of plastic surgery clinics around Europe. He's in love with your beautiful country. And I plan to visit this summer! Congratulations on your RUclips success!
You could tell that they were happy getting out and were trying to understand the new feel of their back hooves. They were lifting their back legs up higher to deal with the phantom long hoof but with each step it was gradually getting lower and I swear I saw the second one smile when they started to realize what had happened.
Yes! I also feel like the 2nd gal hung around a bit longer like "Woah, hey, you did this? Feels funny but so much better!"

The calves are absolutely gorgeous! And of course, we want a grand tour! It's a different place with different beasties, so we've got to see it all!
My son got married within the view of those bridges last year (just had their 1st anniversary this month). Instead of the planned party they'd arranged and had to postpone because of the rona in '20, they told us they were "eloping" so they could get the wedding over and done with and we had a huge party this summer of friends and family, some of whom had travelled from as far as America, in their original choice of the Gower Peninsula (talk about stunningly beautiful!) as they live near there.
They had the most fun they could have imagined, their hosts at the B&B were charming, and their local photographer went above and beyond. As he had nothing more to do that afternoon, they took him to the pub! Guess where some pics came from lol!
I'm always going to have a huge soft spot for that area, and the local people who treated them like old friends, even though we weren't there (we all gave our biggest blessings for them to do this, btw. They got a break in lockdown and to try to arrange everything at the last minute would have been nigh on impossible).
Yes yes! Please show the rest of the farm, especially the babies!!!!Amazing transformation on those hooves! Great job!
Hey I just want to say how much I appreciate your videos. I am an esthetician in Canada so I give pedicures on “people” feet. I don’t live on a farm nor have I ever had any kind of farm animal. What I love so much about your videos is how excited u get when you see the difference in your “client’s” feet! I feel that same excitement that I made somebody feel good by having their nails trimmed and excess callous removed. It feels so good to make someone else or animal feel good!lol I have always loved the large farm animals so thank you for sharing your job and your “clients” with all of us💕
Want to see EVERYTHING on this farm! Especially those cute little babies!!❤
Would love to see the entire farm tour.. I grew up on a small (very small, as in less than 30 head of cattle) family dairy farm in Northwest Wisconsin during the 60s and 70s; and enjoy seeing the improvements we've made to take better care of the cattle.
I love how genuinely aware you are of your skill and knowledge, not just in the trimming but also your ability to educate others on it. You are so professional with it, teaching your knowledge confidently but still remaining so humble and never condescending with it. It’s just great to see somebody appreciate how important and valuable their work is!

I would love to see more about that farm and learn about their operation! What a difference those trims made, wow! As always the scenery is beautiful. In some ways it has helped me to look around my area and see how lovely it is in it's own way.
I think getting to see the whole farm and setup would help bring further understanding to the trim job. Like, how do they get like they do, or why they don't have certain conditions.
Also, I don't have any buffalo farms near me, so simply experiencing it vicariously would be neat to this curious mind.
I love that these two simultaneously looked at you and what you wanted them to do and went “nope”. Just up and walked in the opposite direction lol
I love your hair! Thank you for always showing the cows (and buffalo) compassion. (I live in California and drove from London to Oban and was able to see Scotland's beautiful countryside and mountains. It was all breathtaking!) Of course would love to see the Farm tour.

Babies are adorable with their big ears. The scenery is absolutely beautiful...so green! My goodness what big feet they have! They look so much better after trimming.
