33:08 that pronunciation of “Yosemite” is absolutely criminal. Straight to jail
This guy has the weirdest pronunciations. He says "kw-air-rees" for quarries for instance. But his content is great and he's hilarious, so it's always forgiven.
@@PaxKishaniahe talks through his teeth, almost like his maxilla is undeveloped, I can only imagine how he looks like irl
@@tvojamama4888 Wow, that seems like a hugely inappropriate thing to comment on a RUclips video.
@@tvojamama4888 wtf, did someone kick you in the nuts that day or what?
@@tvojamama4888 hey, maybe you should study linguistics instead of phrenology. its a lot of fun, and more importantly, factual

Why did Teddy cry about the tribal village? Shouldnt he have moved faster if he wanted it?
I imagine there are some rules of etiquette only the players know about?
The speed at which you can move units at the start of the turn is in part determined by your computer's power. The turns literally roll over faster on your end if you have a faster PC, so players with a good CPU can reliably move a fraction of a second before other players can.
The real reason he's upset about the tribal village and barb camp is that the barb camp is worth 3 era score and the tribal village is worth 1, and he probably desperately needed those era score points. He ends up missing his first golden age later, which is extremely devastating if he's going the classic preserve opener that Teddy Bullmoose is known for (you need monumentality for it to really work)
Literally met Trajan the turn I clicked on this video
Yes I’m playing civ 6 whilst watching civ 6
Multitasking
I have no idea how you get these multiplayer games done in 2-4 hours, I play with my friends and it takes multiple days 😭 I guess that's the difference when you're playing with people who know what they're doing and END THEIR TURNS.
Enable the turn timer and enjoy the crying (especially in 3+ player matches)
online speed + turn timer.
I played with three other friends a few years back, and they never wanted the turn timer on. I just spent most of the time micro optimizing and waiting for the others to finish sloooowwly. We also had alternate turns for war, so that was also extremely slow whenever someone started war. Games started at like 9pm et ended at 5am... We don't do those anymore. I should maybe try cpl and bbg some day, Henson makes them look interesting!
Thanks!
Is the only reason this civ isn't broken is because his leader abilities are almost all war based? All the free gold and units is insane
it is strong if you get barb camp kills
I don’t follow civ multiplayer that often, is it common to like bargain who gets a hut? Like I’d be stealing everything lol
No its first come first serve
I am still not entirely clear because I don’t play competitive civ 6, how did you win?
He has a massive lead compared to the rest of the lobby so they conceded.
@@eBilVastard1oh, ok thank you
Do you use any additional mods except the ones required in CPL?
The full modlist for this game is:
Better Balanced Game
Better Balanced Maps (a newer mod that replaces BBS)
Multiplayer Helper
Better Report Screen (UI Mod)
Extended Policy Cards (UI Mod)
Sailorcat's Configurable Goodie Huts (Used to set tribal village frequency to 1.25x to increase the consistency of hitting classical era golden age, no other changes)
Ceasar feels kinda like civ 5 spain. Just a ton of gold early game.
teddy shouldn't have said he would quit, just like trade all his stuff for free to your neighbor, then throw military at you lol.
49:31 levy Kumasi so you can settle same turn 😂
you cant say that you gonna win in 3 hours long video, i think you need to start clickbait a bit to grove the community, somehtin like BEST ROME STAR EVER, BUT... and there is angry china pic will be pretty entertaining for newcomers i guess
No.
Would Liang parks have been better than Moksha (after Amani)?
Nah, I ended up going for Audience Chamber for the extra food + housing it gives to cities with governors so that I could get more districts in my cities. This lets me get more value out of Kumasi's +2 culture per district in the origin city for trade routes. With Audience Chamber, you don't want to spend the 3 governor titles necessary to unlock Liang's city parks promotion and then rotate her around - she'll spend very little time established and you'll get very little value out of Audience Chamber's effect as a result.
5:47 Can someone explain, where that warrior on turn 7 came from?
Julius Caesar gains a free melee unit every time he settles a new city in BBG, except for in his capital city, which instead gets a free warrior upon completing the Code of Laws civic.
In 4v4 Team-based formats where early-game war is very common, barbarian camps are often turned entirely off (since you don't want barbarians harassing players when they're already harassing each other with scouts). Therefore, Caesar needed a buff in BBG to compensate for the complete lack of barb camps to farm for gold, and this is what the modders came up with.
@@HersonCiv Thank you, i am a singleplayer enjoyer because the constant desyncs and pauses in Multiplayer annoy me so i never played with BBG
Were there any mods used for this game?
BBG and BBS obviously but Idk if there were more mods in play
@trumpet-titan4122 I played a lot of civ on console, but I'm new to pc and the mods. I've been looking to see what mods to get. Specifically like quality of life mods.
This also has multi player helper but that doesn't change the game balance any

Is playing civ a career?
With support from viewers like you, it can be. This channel isn't making enough money for me to live on yet, but once I overtake PotatoMcWhiskey and become the face of Civ RUclips in the coming weeks, that'll change
rofl coming weeks! Good content tho man keep them coming, ya got me back into civ.
Wtf johnny lets you have +150 gold for free!!
YOZEMITE HAHA
that said this video is incredible thank you!
How did you get a free warrior?
Cesar bonus with BBG
I feel like reporting someone for not being good at the game is a bit much. Like when i play civ i dont really focus on combat as im not the best. But yeah. Its a bit harsh
Defending poorly isn't a reportable offense, but failing to defend at all is. CPL errs on the side of caution when it comes to issuing suspensions for "feeding", being very careful that players aren't punished simply for not being very good. When it says a player is punished for "failing to defend", what that actually means is "failing to attempt to defend".
Johnav has over 600 games played in CPL, and yet he didn't produce a single unit at all. The strength of a civ's city centers scale to be equal to a minimum of 10 less than the strongest unit that civ has ever produced. He has 10 strength cities because he's never produced anything stronger than a warrior (20 strength). All it would take to meaningfully slow me down is for him to make a single decent unit. You can literally see that, throughout the whole war, he's sitting on enough gold to buy a medieval era unit, after which my musketmen would take 3-4 slams to kill his cities instead of 1. Yet, he never buys or produces any units. This is clearly "failing to defend" (reportable), not "defending poorly" (not reportable)
@@HersonCiv yeah that's fair enough.
I don't like that people are trying to help each other early on - barb camp, not stealing settler, delegations etc. Would be more fun if it was pure selfish and win orianted cutthroat style.
Then you get an angry player, that will throwaway their game just to mess with yours, not fun
He pretty much irrel'd America by stealing tribal camp + village. That's like -3 or -4 era score
Personally, I also prefer playing in lobbies where everyone takes everything that they can get away with all the time. It makes more interesting games overall. The problem is that people spend full evenings playing one game, and if they lose immediately, it really can ruin the experience, and you will see the number of people playing in such lobbies churning fast. CIV is a competitive scene for hobbyists, there are only a handful of people in the world earning a living from Civ content and it's all single players
Honestly, the whole reason that diplomancy with Brazil happened that game was a thing is because I think the idea is to maintain friendship for Alliances later on. Brazil doesn't want to paint a target on their backs come midgame, especially when Juilus has so much benefits to war that Brazil doesn't in land wars.
Ur so greedy it's insane
Well that’s how civ 6 works
Go play Sim City if you don’t want to see competitive play
@@mdgraller I play both
