Thanks for sharing this content! I have dark hair and eyes and olive skin just like you, so I love following your content because it usually works for me❤️ I'm so glad I found your channel
I tried this eyeshadow application this morning and my eyeshadow still looks very nice. I think it’s been at least 8 possibly 9 hours. I used my Dior Soft Cashmere palette and used the Laura Mercier powder and Mary Kay eye primer, then the shadow. It gave my shadow a soft base that looked very smooth. Thank you ❤
Thank you Audrey! Would love an updated hair tutorial as well please. I have been loving Victoria Beckham’s kajal eyeliners. They make eyes look bigger and brighter (when using the white one). For cleaner makeup options I like Merit’s concealer, Kosas’ cloud set power, eyebrow gel and eyebrow pencil, Lily Lolo’s BB cream and Ilia’s cream blushes and mascara.
I like to think I'm a really knowledgeable makeup collector, and you're even impossibly chic in your makeup choices, down to the Violette FR lips! Such wonderful products on such a gorgeous face. Thanks for such wonderful content, as ever, Audrey! 💕
Have you ever watched any of Lisa Eldridge's videos? I think you'd love her vintage make up collection. It's to die for and she's also an absolutely amazing make up artist
@@IevaKambarovaite She is absolutely the reason I started getting interested in makeup to begin with! I now own quite. few of her products (and she makes my favorite red lipstick of all time). She's so wonderful and knowledgeable, isn't she?? I can't express my admiration for her enough!
Hi all, just popping into the comments to share an amazing makeup company that caters to olive skin. It’s called EX1 Cosmetics and they have foundation (liquid and mineral powder), concealer, pressed powder, and blush. They don’t have as huge a range of colours as some of the larger companies do, so apologies if you have a darker tone that isn’t covered. I’m in my late thirties and could not for the life of me figure out why neither warm, nor cool, nor ‘neutral’ makeup matched my skin tone. I really thought something was wrong with me. Thanks to Audrey’s “Olive Skin” video, I FINALLY figured out that I’m a very pale olive, and the hunt for a reasonably-priced olive foundation commenced. I’m in the UK, and as an example, the liquid foundation costs roughly £10-£12. I don’t know if it’s available in stores in the US, but it’s probably available online. I thought I’d pass the information along in case it would be helpful to others. Good luck to all my lovely olives and a HUGE thank you to Audrey for basically saving my life! (This isn’t sponsored and I don’t work for the company by the way - I’m just really excited to have found an inexpensive foundation that doesn’t make me look pink or orange 😂)
The Chanel Water Fresh Tint is an unsung hero. It blurs everything! You do NOT need perfect skin. Worth every penny. Keep in mind, it does not provide coverage but a blurring effect.
That was sooo helpful Audrey, your tip for primer is amazing - it works!! I have to do stage makeup as well as day and the primer trick is wonderful. I’m older now and I can’t put lipstick on like I use to so I put it in the middle of lips and not side. I need to freshen up my makeup bag so I’m going to try some of those products you use on my Christmas list. I have let my hair go naturally grey and I find I can wear more red lip pigments as my skin has gone paler now I have become older and like you if I touch my face too much I go very red. Love the video thank you Audrey.
Audrey, after going through a large chunk of your content that I benefit from I would like to tell you how much pleasure and wisdom you add to my life, and thank you for teaching me what my mother couldn’t have🤍 May I ask for you to share your own favorite content and creators? From RUclipsrs, podcasts, bloggers to books and music. I would honesty love that, and might suggest it again in case this might go unnoticed.
I'm obsessed with that green boucle jacket that I think would look great with my coloring as well. I've seen it in a few recent videos, but never linked. Would you mind sharing where it is from?
Hi Audrey, we have very similar coloring so this is incredibly helpful for me! I also have very oily eyelids and wanted to ask which eyeshadow primer you found works best for you?
Thank you Audrey my parents are italian and dutch and oddly my skin seems very similar to yours - exactly in the middle of warm and cool - somewhat fair and totally neutral.. your tips about colours were so helpful and spot on. ❤
Hey Audrey what are your thoughts on hair colours for olive skin tones? I have the same colouring to yours and have been recommended to go brown by many but not sure if/where to start
I don’t find it difficult to find neutral colored shadows - but if you’re looking for an entire palette of them, it’s much more difficult. MAC and many other brands have single shadows in every shade imaginable that are easily put into palettes (or not), or you can do a “one and done” look with a single shadow. I would’ve appreciated it if you had zoomed in more, because it’s difficult to see the difference pre- and post-application, to be honest. At this distance, I feel like a lipstick application would’ve made up about 90% of the difference between the two. You’re blessed with gorgeous skin!
