I feel like the problem is that most intelligent and kind hearted people don't want to get into the sharks world that is politics.. People that are the most suited to govern don't want to govern. People who want to govern don't want it for the greater good but for their own personal gain. That kinda sucks, and I hope we get more and more exceptions like AOC as the system changes.

I like the Twain quote she noted about brevity. I like to make succinct complete statements including on RUclips comments, and often find myself spending more time trying to write a well worded shorter comment than more just stating what's on my mind and rambling. It's a good quote.
I worked with corporate lawyers for decades, and in draft after draft of proofreading and editing, the final versions are always less verbose than the earlier versions, and that adage was murmured repeatedly throughout the years! (Not edited for brevity)

We all can. But we need two minimums. First we need candidates who is willing to run for public offices like her. Second, we need voters who is willing to accept the candidates who thinks like her. I admire her civility and decorum in using the phrase "defending and working for" when she could have just as easily said "running interference and covering up for". Which is how I would have stated it.
