I have spent not hours or days but weeks of watching photography shoots and tutorials but this just blew my mind. Jason you are a master and to get those shots in that situation and lighting has confirmed for me you are “the man”! Thanks Jason.
While I'm nowhere near qualified to teach photography, I'd say it's fairly instructional to watch you shoot. I learned a lot. My method of training has always been 3 steps. 1. Do the thing in front of them so they can see it done. 2. Make them do it, but with me walking them through. 3. Make them do it on their own. Its effective.
Jason this is one of your best vids. Loved the demonstration of the creative process, the actual shoot and the interaction between you and the attendees. Super job!
One thing that might be cool is if you came back later and showed an image or two from your students. I've found that people who attend workshops might take 100 captures but never share a single image.
You're a lunatic for flipping that lens like that lol Really appreciate this video. Not too often you see someone doing portraits with a 300mm. The compression is unreal. Thanks, man.
Jason, I’ve learned so much from you through your videos and Facebook page. One part of photography that I had been uncomfortable with is slowing down and taking the time we need to get the shot. I like seeing that setting up the shot takes a little time and that’s ok! Also, I notice you are very comfortable when people give you a compliment. I need to also learn to be ok with that - believe in their sincerity and appreciate their expression.
Shoot film. The process, cost, and equipment will force you to slow down and think your shot through. After all, Paying .50 cents a shot, plus development costs will make you think twice before pressing that shutter button.
Brother thank you. You are helping me out a lot. A lot is not always the best. Work with what you have. Once again thank you. Hope you come to great mountains of West Virginia.
Hi Jasom this is awesome. What would you recommend as a basic lighting sysyem for portraits including mods stands etc. I know it is a broad question. Thank you.
Jason, is the the version 1 or version 2 of the Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM? I have the version 1 and I think yours looks like that but hard to really tell. Thank you for the video. Fun to watch as always.
Aye! I am from Jamaica as well, pretty awesome we got guys travelling to learn from one of the greatest. Awesome content btw - love your work it makes my jaw drop everytime like what kind of black magic are you working.
Jason I am getting into photography and I have been watching your videos, like years worth of videos I am watchign and they are so good OMG! One thing I really struggle with is knowing whats the best ISO and shutter speed - I guess my issue is I am too scared to bump my ISO up at times and depend on light too much so I spend alot of time playing around with settings instead of shooting and it triggers me! :@ Need some advise
Hi Jason, and thanks for the great video! QUESTION - how do you get the Godox light to fire so rapidly? That would be great for catching a dancer's perfect jump. Thank you in advnce, and happy new year!
2:02 the neck of the lens also known as the lens barrel beautiful leaves shot.👍 Oh Jason elbows forward is never pleasing to the eye, OK that's why you picked the shot where just by luck a few leaves were partially blocking her elbows, I like the unscripted videos Thanks for the up.
Hi Jason, I just discovered you a few weeks ago and I got to say it... I got mad man love for you dude. Your knowledge and authenticity is simply awesome. Next time you’re in the Charlotte area I will do my best to be there. Adios pimps and hoes.
I have no problem with people smoking, but I prefer my models not to smoke BEFORE a shoot. Eyes get red, droopy, and just doesn't look good, unless you're specifically going for that look. If they want to shoot during or after, by all means, have at it.

I love how your style has progressed through the years. From the gritty weird hdr style to things like this, absolutely breathtaking, very very awsome

Per usual, kick ass results. Jason should have MILLIONS of subs; they're oblivious to the obvious....and the obviously supremely talented.
4am on the first day of the New Year, and I'm watching Jason and a workshop group having fun in Texas. Nice video, thanks a bunch.
The more videos I watch of your's the more I want to shoot... love ya man
Mr.Jason really has big heart and broad mind. ☺️☺️☺️☺️

Hi Jasom this is awesome. What would you recommend as a basic lighting sysyem for portraits including mods stands etc. I know it is a broad question. Thank you.
Amazing work!!
Very cool. I didn't think throwing all that stuff in the air would work. I was wrong. Cool shots.
Killing it as always!
You are making me miss my 300mm 2.8 but I hated that eye AF was mostly in the center area..plus it was the older version. :D
I can’t believe I missed you here in Houston
I would've loved to have seen you too brother!
I’ll definitely have to link up when you are in Texas again
Mis respetos para usted es un maestro, que tenga un feliz año nuevo.saludos🇨🇱🤗😎📸📷
Outstanding!!
I will be stealing this shoot idea ASAP 😀😅
What are you using for lights and diffusers when you’re doing the sand and eyelighter?
The photos of the guys from the end, are the best ones :D
Great work
Well this was F AWESOME!
I understand that you locked focus so the face would always be sharp and wouldn't skip to the leaves, but how does the eye focus work with this lens?
Drumming Spain Not as good as a native lens
hi, its fine. One Quaction : wich monolight did you use for rapid shoot? Elinchrom , Godox 600 xt or? thank a lot. Happy NY.
How often you come to Texas,i would love to attend one of your workshops, please!!.
Great shots, Godox ?
Vraiment SUPERBE ! Top !

Damn. That was a awesome idea.

Again nicely executed... there's a reason you're no. 1
He's far from number 1. There are a lot of "Award winning photographers" out there. Few really stand out from their peers. Most are just white noise.
Wow Great vid !
Just wondering why you were using normal flash and not the rotolights that you normaly use ?
It's broad daylight
@@shang-hsienyang1284 he has used rotolight in daylight loads of times.
Hi Jason, and thanks for the great video! QUESTION - how do you get the Godox light to fire so rapidly? That would be great for catching a dancer's perfect jump. Thank you in advnce, and happy new year!
Paul Appleby I noticed he turns the power as low as possible with his strobe - shorter recycle time.
@@wendystumbaugh695 Was thinking bout that too.
How are you getting your strobes to fire so fast? My 600 explorer takes around 1 second to cycle.
The recycle is faster if you use less power so don't use at full power
SICK!
Awesome!!!
Great video, love your work, hey Jason can you please try a photoshot with a Deep Parabolic Modifier ? Thank you ...
Dude you're the best in the biz and know how to teach. I've learned so much from your channel.
This is to much... Awesome!!
Amazing
Hii I am from india your photography is amazing..i am your big fan sir.
Great video
Love the team shot.
Goal for 2019: Juggle with 3 cameras
Best wishes
I’m a wildlife photographer but I enjoyed watching this guy, he’s got damn creative ❤️❤️❤️🤘📷
I wish I can shoot with you one day. But I dont think you've got any plans of coming to Brazil lol
Happy new year...bro...god job....
Amazing 💕
Your rim light was also a AD600 pro?
Would be so cool if you can to New Mexico
*came to NM
Is jason use auto or manual focus while the sand and leaf throwed??
Kevin Kevin manual
Just a heads up Jason. Might want to rethink the "jizza" thing. The internet is a weird and funny place haha. Happy holidays brother!
Welcome to the joy of shooting a long lens portrait.
The 300 is great. But i love the 200 f2 for this.
mverick160 I’m gonna go out on a limb here and assume that this isn’t the first time he’s shot a long lens portrait.
Colin Robinson
Glad you're here to clarify his shooting.
We'll see a great system like this
Jason...great vid!!
How is the autofocus with the new Metabones 5 with the sony-canon combo?
Hi, is it possible to shoot continously like this on sony7riii but on self-timer? :)
Glad to see you using strobes
You remind me of my uncle Noe. But he's blind. Great Videos!
Which strobes did he probably use?
How did you not get camera shake at 1/60! You must have the steadiest hands in the world!!!
WOW!!!
i tried this throwing leaves in air ...and failed miserably... will try again next fall/autumn..
Love that... "have you got any weed" .."not today" ...hahahahaha..!!
sir which light you using
Sharooj Kshettri looks like a Godox Wistro, probably the 400.
Great photos and a well put together video as per usual, but shame about the choice of music. Anyway gooden!
Hammer

So Canon 300 F2.8 CS Sony 400 f2.8?
I love this guy and his cool words of wisdom... plus Em is hot too... :-)

7:48 is that a joke? Is that not a lot of equipment?
Her IG is actually "Ma Canon III" .. surely I am not the only one that saw that.
