      A 10700KF is the same as a K except no iGPU. Some KFs have better BIN.
      If it’s a 10700F, you can’t under the same setup

      @@CaptainCandycorn Yep, after about 4 hours of playing around I got 5.1 all core with 1.215 and is stable for anything I throw at it. 1.3 is pretty high and if I did 1.3 I could get 5.2 but temps were too high and not worth the performance boost over 5.1.

    • @Davefinito
      @Davefinito  3 года назад +1

      Not really. If I don't set a limit, it will not take much thereafter to thermal throttle. When that happens, cores will either downclock to base, or crash

    Was looking for good settings and as luck would have it, we have a very similar Motherboard and of course, the exact same CPU. I used and applied these settings and while these are great, I guess the only issue that I have personally is the fact that the CPU is always at 4.9GHz which (may) decrease the life span of the CPU but I could be wrong.
    Any comment on this?

    • @Davefinito
      @Davefinito  3 года назад

      There's always a chance with overclocking. Keep in mind 4.9GHz is a mild overclock. As long as you don't have high CPU temps on a daily basis, don't apply too much voltage and have half decent cooling, that should mitigate some/most of the risk.

    • @Fragil1ty
      @Fragil1ty 3 года назад

      @@Davefinito I'm currently locked in on a very stable overclock of 4.9 @ 1.3v with idle temps of 33-38c and gaming temps of usually under 50c and when I'm on intensive games such as Cyberpunk, I'll get about 60c? So all in all, very stable. Still have that worry, but I'm going to stick with it for now, thanks man.
