    That was beautiful. I've also never seen a RUclips video almost 7 years old without a single dislike, this is one for the books!

    Mr. Brown,
    I thank you tons for such a simple class.
    I loved it.
    I'm trying to model a simple "cross break" in Autodesk inventor and that's how I got to watch your video.
    Thanks again Sir.

    Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I'm from Cali and moved to NY. I was never taught how to do sheet metal as I was hired for a lead install role right away. Taught myself a lot but was never informed that I needed a break in my sheetmetal and that apparently I was getting a lot of call backs for noise. Now thats fixed. Oh and I never put heat pumps far enough off the ground and I would drain 90 percent furnaces outside if they had a condensate pump. All three of my callbacks are now taken care of. You just don't think of certain things being a problem until you experience the climate.

    The spline tool (used for screening bead) on a piece of wood with two C-clamps will do a nice job if you don't have the strength.
    No need for safety squints but use gloves to avoid the sharp edges.
    What a great tip by the way !

    I'm working with 26 gauge sheet metal and was not sure if your method would work. It worked like a champ. You've saved my day !

      Snap a line with a chalk box, lay panel on a 2x4 or 2x6. Score the metal with a wide chisel like used in carpet installs.

    Can I use this technique to 90° break thin galvanized sheet metal?

    • @davidrosier5070
      @davidrosier5070 2 года назад

      If your 90 is gona be a 1” Bend account for that then fold your 90 with your 1” break

    Is it ok to use this method to cross-break a section of ductwork that is already installed?

    • @skateVA90
      @skateVA90 3 года назад

      I think he cross break the inside of the duct work. So post installed would give it a concaved effect
