I love this comment section because it’s an amazing example of how memory works. Such tiny details typically insignificant or easily looked over make a big impact when they disappear, it goes from being a small detail to the cause of something “feeling off” on a repeat play through of the area, with the memory becoming crystal clear when you receive confirmation that that off feeling was actually caused by something being different Small enough to not notice it, but big enough to know something is missing

The backwards compatible version on series x still has the skeleton with the helmet. I’ll admit though, my FNV is strange. I can skip the opening company cards, which I’m not sure you can normally do.
Sadly from what I understand.. Most of the older versions that have not "surfaced" yet are basically gone.. The chances of finding anything older with more things is.. Basically nil.
That's most likely the case unfortunately, but no one was even aware of the TGS build until recently, so it's definitely possible an even earlier version exists.
I would pay any amount of money for a New Vegas remaster, I cannot stress that enough. I would gladly shell out $150-$200 for it, not even kidding. It's better than buying a new edition of Skyrim for like the 4th time.
Some of this stuff seem like performance budget (we can have X NPCs in an area, I'll remove two ravens, and removing decals, lowering the number of drawcalls from different materials), or level design tweaks (removing stuff like the tires and tables blocking the area between tents makes nav mesh easier for NPCs and gives the player a more convenient path.)
The BEST Bug in the original 360 release was the Ed-E vs the NRC at McCarran battle. If you were using Ed-E as a pack mule, and he had any food or drink items, NCR would agro him & attack to kill him & take the consumables. Never knew WTF was up, but years later, saw Josh Sawyer talking about it, and it was the NCR AI to eat & sleep, after you had been to McCarran a few times (unavoidable to complete quests) & the camp's food in that cell had run out.
