And whom else besides Danny Kaye would you think would be a good actor in this episode? Just wondering what your idea of a good series is; let alone any decent professional actors who’ve appeared on the new Twilight Zone as opposed to the original? Sincerely yours, JM J. Bullock- “ Too Close For Comfort” Hollywood, CA.

Fwiw - and I'm not claiming it as proof - I've had 2 NDEs (near death experiences) and believe that the immense love I felt on the 'other side' is what we'll all experience.
God is unconditional love - and one without favorites. Tho the notion of damnation is a fiction, we do feel the effects of our actions on everyone we ever meet. (That's probably going to be a drag for some folks.)
Hundreds of thousands of similar accounts overlap in an important way - the presence of this love that's often called 'ineffable'.
Here's to peace on our planet - somehow. And blessings to those who are kind to living things. ✨️

In the Devils Alphabet, when the date came up of 1896.. i paused a moment to realize my Grandmother was born in that year!
Obviously shes no longer with us but I do remember her well..
The reason being, the women in our family either had quite a few children or had them right up to late in life.
My grandmother had my mother when she was 37yrs
My own mother didnt have me till she was 30yrs
I didnt have my 1st daughter till i was 27yrs & my 2nd daughter at
    40yrs.
Thus by leaving childbirth late a long gap between, the gap between my birth resulted in my
    Having a grandmother born in
    Queen Victorias reign!
I used to look in my Grandmothers wardrobes in the attic & see marvellous evening dresses, fur stoles, muffs, little laced up boots & the most wonderful evening bags.
Wish i still had a fraction of those items!

There were a bunch of actors from these 80's TZ's that went on to minor or major roles in Star Trek TNG and DSN.
Even when you consider William Shatner starred in a couple of the first TZ's.

Joy Ride is by far the best of these Twilight Zone segments. The others seem to outrageous, and come across as filler material. The 1980s were a low time for entertainment, New Wave, Hair Metal, Gorefest Horror films, and Rap music. The 1970s had real Rock bands, much superior Horror anthologies, and the Horror films had atmosphere, not just public autopsies. It's a shame that I wasn't there for the original 1970s, but I do my best to live , and look like it.

a (segment "Paladin of the Lost Hour") : Why must that hour never toll?
Gaspar : The lost hour must never come. If it strikes 12, eternal night falls, of which there is no recall. The light, the wind, the stars, this magnificent place we call the universe, it all ends. And in its place, waiting, always waiting, hungering to be fed, is darkness. No new beginnings, no world without end. Just the infinite emptiness.

The Twighlight Zone made the "Earthworm" episode and another episode in similar fashion that made Vietnam Vets look like nutjobs. They took alot of flak from Veteran's organizations and in the press. They attempted a redemption in this episode with this Vet with a heart of gold. I mean this guy was probably in Star's and Stripes for buying school supplies for the local kids from an orphanage in Quang Ninh Province and handing out C-rats to old ladies. The Twighlight Zone gets a redemption and a win with this episode. They also get a bonus for letting the Grateful Dead play the theme song for these episodes. From this Iraq and Afghanistan Infantryman, thank you to all of our Vietnam Veterans. You guys were and always will be my heroes.

Please bear in mind that the old directors, producers, writers(e.g., Rod Serling) paid homage to veterans and servicemen alike. Not so much in biased fashion but in overall recognition of their humanness in each and every situation through war and peace. Serling understood war more than many writers of his day because he was in the 2nd world war and knew from very real experiences. That's one of the many reasons I admired him so much. As a classic old school liberal, he told it all like he saw it. With the new gen of TZ's Hollywood alumni, they very often get it wrong trying to re-narrate what already was. God bless you sir, thank you for your well-needed service to America. And may you as well as I, live to see a much better America than what exists now.

You would surprised about how many actors who pop up out of nowhere on good shows spent a decade or more bouncing around doing small parts.... Some actually love that gig and pass on bigger roles. Another Star Trek actor does that. He's been in EVERYTHING but only likes smaller roles.

🇬🇧 Id forgotten how GOOD these
    Twilight Zones compilations are!
The old ones used to terrify me as a child & teen
What with all the modern graphic horror, we have become desensitized to it all, so reviewing these more modern TZs they surprisingly still have the power to cause discomfort & concern for what lurks in the shadows ...
When we mount the stairs to bed after watching them...😨
Haha very good! Grand production, well acted & professional.
Im enjoying these collections very much, Thank You
    Peace
    🇬🇧👧

Devils Alphabet introduced me to Hywel Bennett, and then I watched Shelley his long running sitcom in the UK, where some actors (not Bennett) prove they can't come close to an American Accent. If you like your comedy dry, you will love Shelley.

Funny to think that all the Twilight Zone episodes and many more productions were free. All that was needed was a tv and a cheap antenna, plus a tolerance for several commercials.

57:30 Even though I knew he was acting, the way he ranted and raved about the soldier who saved his life got to me. My eyes started welling up because in Vietnam the war WAS pure hell. A lot of soldiers coming home developed PTSD. And some even committed suicide, because at that time there weren't a lot of coping mechanisms. I am a female veteran and served the latter part of the war, as well as my husband. It will always be a part of me.
