- Join Vincent and Tangella as they watch “The Lawnmower Man” from 1992 with Pierce Brosnan and Jeff Fahey.
"The Lawnmower Man" is a riveting 1992 science fiction horror film that delves into the unforeseen consequences of human experimentation. The story unfolds around Jobe Smith, a simple-minded gardener, who becomes the subject of Dr. Lawrence Angelo's groundbreaking research. Dr. Angelo, working for Virtual Space Industries, aims to enhance human intelligence using virtual reality and psychoactive drugs. However, the experiment takes a sinister turn when Jobe acquires not only superior intelligence but also psychokinetic and telepathic powers. This newfound power triggers a transformation in Jobe, leading him down a path of aggression and a quest to evolve into a digital entity. As Jobe's abilities grow, so does the danger he poses, culminating in a suspenseful climax where Dr. Angelo must confront the consequences of his creation. This film explores the ethical boundaries of scientific exploration and the volatile intersection of human consciousness and technology.

A rare gem, it will always be a gem.
This move is such a gem. So is the actor of the Lawnmower Man!
He will always be a gem, it's true
shining, glistening gem
Classic. Thanks as always for the company as well as the movie
That's a LEGIT movie! Damn you guys are killing it! . . Also. . Tangella is AWESOME 😎!!
😂😂😂😂😂 damn...😢
I remember going to the cinema to see this, amazing at the time, stands alone still. Thanks!!
Will always be a gem of a movie. Absolutely bone-chilling, atmospheric, liminal, genre defining horror (thank fauci for no jumpscares..............)
This so much this
I love putting it on and sitting back with some snacks(sproke, weed, and a DNB sandwich with bug bread of course)
Love this movie.
Warts and all.
You guys do a great job. Great flick.
80's and 90's best decades of human existence. Thanks for this.
Love my Saturday's with Creature Features and my partner, we look forward to it here in Australia 🇦🇺 Wow haven't seen Lawn Mower Man in years! Think I last watched with my mother when it first came out on VHS 😅
When this movie came out it was TOP notch....i loved it....some of the best times back then...less worries...
I remember the original Creature Features, with good ol Bob Wilkins, it was the very last thing on KTVU Ch. 2 on Friday nights before the Flag.
I've been waiting to watch this again! Haven't watched it in years! Thanks Creature Features!
The only reason I watch Creature Features is to hear Tangella’s words of wisdom. ❤❤❤
"Great creature features movie night"! Thank you.
This reminds me of:
Altered States (1980),
Star Trek: “Where no man has gone before” (1966),
Charly (1968),
and probably a few others I haven’t yet recalled. It’s definitely a “Frankenstein” type movie.
Frankenstein Proto Matrix, Johnny Mnemonic. The 90's were still naive about the internet and future smartphone addiction.
We loved this as a teen, so much better then universal soldier...
As a 'teen I love this too
I've never seen this before. Happy I could watch with you Vincent
My husband and I are here and ready to watch Lawnmower Man! If there is a sequel, I hope we can also watch it here.
There is. It's just not as sequel-ish as you might expect.
A MIRACLE has just occurred: My husband will watch Creature Features with me thanks to Lawnmower Man (1992)!
U have a man with good taste and I bet it was a fun throwback to childhood. 😊
I am so happy for you
Hallelujah... Can i get an amen XD
Awww, it's nice to be wanted. Youre hubby is a lucky man. Cheers ma'am ❤
@@davyhenry8985Me too. I think it's sweet. Being single really sucks sometimes :(. I used to love renting a couple of movies and cuddling on the couch with my girlfriend. I sure do miss those moments. Best part of the day and/or weekends!
I loved it. It was even better than I remembered. (I'm old) It is a great flick!
I liked it too.
Awesome! See if you can also get the sequels, Weed Wacker Dude and and Snow Blower Hombre...
Is that the one where the lawnmower comes alive and seeks revenge for being pushed around?
@@seacampeon8729Soon to be a major Pixar/Disney release, live action remake to be scheduled in 2035, with Will Smith voicing J. Deer, the wise old mulcher that wants to do more than mulch and encourages peaceful resolutions through power tools.
Early Prediction: The Disney ride won't be open for more than a year after multiple people forcibly ejected from the lawn mower blade simulator ride 😵
That was a fun live-chat and movie. Thank you Vincent and Tangella. Glad I found this channel
I was absolutely obsessed with this film when it came out, I went to the cinema like 10 times to see it.
About 30 years ago I went to the cinema and thought this was the best movie of the year. Now the CGI looks dated, in some cases even ridiculous. Anyhow thank you for uploading, it's still a nice film!
CGI had to start with baby steps & look where it is now. I can’t believe Brosnan played in this but look where he is now 😂😂😂
@@catherinebreitfeller669 Jurassic Park was released 2 years later, and it still holds up today...face it, the director went tight on the graphic budget.
Back when this movie came out, virtual reality was the new heralded, technology that was set to take over. I heard some lofty claims that it would end human suffering as it held unlimited potentials. Well, 3 decades later, it certainly didn't live up to the hype but the movie is worth another watch.
Psvr shite mate I got it day it came out was ok but fk I couldn't fly my jet
Wow, I grew up in the lawnmower man era, but until now I have never seen the movie. It's amazing that this movie echoes and predicts the future of our electronic evolution. And very scary!!😟
Thank you so much it was a great movie! Commentary is top notch too!
I thought this movie was rad when it first came out! I'm so excited to see it again in mid-life. Thx so much for uploading this 👍
My childhood right here!
That seems like a nice movie about cutting grass. How nice for Creature Features to show a movie like this.
Watched this film when I was 14 years old and had a crush on Jeff Fahey. The graphix was amazing for 1992. Had it as a sreensaver on my big ole Pentium 1.
Saw this at the movies. Great show, more of these types, please.
Friday night movie! 🎉
A strong start for 2024!
I’ve just hit the subscribe button because you showed Lawnmower Man. I haven’t seen this movie in about 30 years, and I forgot how freaking awesome it was.
I like this movie Thanks for putting this on😀
Oh, I forgot about this one,,, 🤘🏻CF👍🏻
love this movie, brings back great childhood memories... enough time to make a cuppa....
90s cinematography is truly the best
I just watched this for the first time only a couple of days ago. Strange how that sometimes happens.
Forgotten this gem. Cheers.
I miss the 90's
I LOVE this movie. The second one was OKAY.
Please don't mention the second...
It ranks up there with battlefield earth and you know what we all think about that
@@sekaramochieveryone is in deNILE over rhat last one, have thought they buried all the copies in Egypt,,,,
Sorry, saw it once, still remember it, only drawback to really good memory, we'll definitely need Max Headroom to clear the 2nd one,,,,
The last time I saw this movie was so long ago, I can't remember what happens, lol.
I have seen this movie 5 times now. And I still love this movie . Lawnmoover Man part 2 is also cool.
I adore Tangella. I love how emotive she is without saying a word.
Cool I’d hadn’t seen this movie
In longtime.
That was awesome to see again after so long, thanks guys
I'm mad that I always end up missing the live premieres of these because of the late hour it is for me since I live in Sweden and especially this one as I was looking forward to seeing it, oh well thankfully I can always watch them afterwards even though it's not as fun.
I'm from Germany. The friday premiere here is saturday morning at 5am and the the saturday premiere is sunday morning at 6am. I don't feel like getting up this early but when I'm up later the first thing I do is to put on Creature Features.
Me too! Watching in England, let's enjoy it together💖
Yeah, the livestreams are a lot of fun. I missed it live last night. I'm in Virginia, USA and it was probably either midnight or 1am EST when the show started. I really needed the sleep. I think I had the best sleep all week, so it was worth the tradeoff. Remember that Creature Features is in San Francisco, CA, USA so that is PST, either 9pm or 10pm. They chose the best time, and their fans are all over the world having to figure out how to tune in if they don't live on the West Coast.
Here a little late but just starting the movie to end my Friday night
I remember when this came out it was all the talk in the lawn and garden section of hardware stores.
The special effects in this move are on their own level
I was thinking about this movie sometime ago. I remember it from way back. Awsome movie .Another in a long line of future predictions. Makes you wonder who knew what. Thank you for sharing👍❤️🕊🇨🇦
Always notifies me 2hrs after 😢
I watch this on VHS!
Hot damn all right. Now if they get enough money for Jacobs ladder.
A friend and I dropped acid before going to see this in theater. Man, when those shoddy CGI bees showed up, we were terrified out of our asses.
Drugs is cool mmmkay
Shrooms for me. The bees made my friend run out of the cinema...over the top of everyone else haha.
When this came out everyone was going to the movie theater on acid to go watch it. Watching that again over 20 years later was better than i thought it was going to be. So relevant in 2024 !
Jeff Fahey is awesome in this flick.
YESSSSSSS!!!!! JOBE!!!!! Quality!!!!!!
I saw that in the theatres oh so many moons ago. Great film. Thanks.
Such a great movie and casts too. Thank you for sharing this movie with us all 👏👏👏👏
this movie was way ahead of its time
I haven't seen this movie since I was like 11 years old when it first came out
I enjoyed working on the special makeup and visuals on this movie. I was lucky to do the one stop motion animated shot in it.
Nice job!❤
No such thing as luck! God bless you! Jesus saves
Thanks for the amazing experience watching this in the odeon back in '92.
This is actually a good movie.
How did it end up on CREATURE FEATURES ? 😃😃😃
I think it's terrible but I heard that going in.
The gemmiest movie of all time
Another amazing upload thank you guys as always
This movie was disavowed by Stephen King, He even threatened to sue over the title. It has nothing to do with his book.
His book was about some naked looney guy who ate grass off the lawn. No comparison whatsoever.
It was a short story, not a book, and SK was either drunk or coked up when he wrote it, it made no sense at all. This film is much better, and the VHS version is better than this. Too many deleted scenes.
Good. King is a chimp.
@@stevenyates6651 SK sure wrote some utter shite.
was 11 years old rso and had this movie and candyman on a VHS tape watched it so much . good times 🖤
I experienced the leprechaun movie at 11.. dear sweet zombie Jesus I was too young for that. 😂😂😂😅😮😂😊
nightmare fuel lol @@SuperUAP

I'm Irish, saw the trailer as a teenager and thought, who on Earth would watch this shite? The only film that made me shit myself as a kid was "Threads".
@@skateboardingjesus4006 That film was just nightmare fuel in every way...I still dream of it, 47 years later.
It’s raining outside and it’s my first moment of rest during my tour, whereby I get to relax and enjoy a few hours to myself before my next show, and the delight I have in my heart to be able to watch this, first thing in the morning with my cup of coffee during a storm is soul food❤
Lols😂 sure buddy. And I am a rocket scientist...
On Venus. As we speak.😅
@@LaMiNiNisGodsGlue Such a cynic...the world needs your lot to remind ourselves of a reality you'll never experience.
This movie is amazing still have vhs cassette with this movie 😊
I always loved this movie, one of my alltime favorites.. classic !
this movie deserves more credit than it gets,
in my opinion it's really good
even better than the book it is based on
in fact.. it has nothing to do with the book it is based on
exept there's a lawnmower in it.
it reminds me more of rise of Planet of the apes
or the fly... in a way
How is it different from the book?
Stephen King just wrote you into a novel to destroy in the first two seconds. Rip my friend. Stephen takes no prisoners.😅
Great movie back in its day today its still a great movie 👍😊
Something about these older movies from the 90s hits differently.
The tales from the crypt episodes are pretty cool also, lots of them are here on RUclips.
I must admit, this was a good movie when I saw it back in the '90's. Yes, it's a B-grade movie, but it does touch on the fact of how far do we want to go with technology before the technology overtakes the humans. AI, VR, all reality now, just a concept then.
One of my favourite movies!
Thanks for posting this classic!
God bless! Jesus saves
Great flashback flix 🎥🍿 👍🙂
I forgot how incredible this movie was, It is CHARLEY MEETS TRON with an all-star cast , wonderful writer, director, etiquette al,I am so happy for this movie!!!Gary Bailey KingofDarkness
Another creature-less film😮
The lawnmowerman becomes a creature.
Gem.
agree
one of the best VR movies ever made. Still thought about it many years later.
Smash that like button for this awesome channel people, so we can get more and more from this Channel
Different from the book & very early/raw CGI...however a fair watch to begin 2024.
The comic version from Bizarre Adventures #29, by the great Walt Simonson, is much closer.
This is the first time I don't watch the Director's Cut. It feels like half the movie is missing 😂. Still it's Creature Features so it's a must watch 👍.
This movie was awesome. Thank you cf. I enjoyed it so much
This was a movie way before its time as its now becoming a reality with artificial intelligence and all the potential ramifications: the good, the bad, and The Ugly.
TY CF!!!!
I remember thinking this movie was cool. I was around 11 or 12 when it came out.
I think it still is cool.
@@r4h4al me too. When I rewatched it with Creature Features a few months ago, I really enjoyed it again. 😊
One of my favorites. Period.
Loved this flick when it came out. If I recall Stephen King sued to get his name off of it because it had nothing to do with his short story if I recall.
Dedicated to those who have shouted "Get off my lawn!"
I eagerly anticipated the release of this movie in theaters.
It was AWFUL back then.
Im looking forward to this
Thanks, absolute Classic!❤
Mozart
Big budget tonight! Awesome!
This movie was brilliant in my opinion.
Didn't realize that this movie is basically "Flowers for Algernon" meets "Groundskeeper Willie"! 😭
I was also thinking of flowers for Algernon !!!!!
"Flowers for Algernon" was the book, "Charley" was the film. Both are favorites of mine.😊
Also a little of 'A clockwork orange'
Good night everyone....
