Hey Nick, I seriously gotta give to you mate. To comment on Pavarotti takes a lot of guts, and nerves of steel. That said, I also have to give it to you for doing and an excellent job in describing and pointing the methods he used to control his mouth, breathing, and voice. Moreover, the way you picked up on the nuances of Pavarotti's style was quite amazing. You've got a good ear and a good eye. 👍
Thank you Stephen! We often wonder why we like certain singers so much, and oftentimes it the little nuanced things that we really enjoy! Hope you stay tuned to my new videos coming out each week :)
0:15 I applaud you for this - you pronounced the name of the legend right. Pava would have been proud☺️ (I’m not Italian but I know the Italian pronunciation quite well)
Pavarotti was growing up in Modena and his father was a tenor. He was connected to the old way of singing with a mixed voice and yes he sang on the vowels means legato, long vowel phrases and yes the language makes it possible. For singing italian is the best. Pavarotti sings so easy with little transition movement because his voice is mixed and based in the U. The vowel to mix em all and build the voice on….further information from. Anthony Frisell The Tenor Voice…. A last great keeper of the old knowledge…👋
A cordial greeting to you!!...No one better than you, to analyze this incredible singer who is leaving all the experts, literally with their jaws on the floor (Do you remember Jim Carrey's movie "The Mask"? well, just like that)...In 2017, a 22-year-old singer from Kazakhstan, named Dimash Kudaibergen, was invited to participate in the famous Chinese program for professional singers called "The Singer"... In his first appearance, Dimash covered one of the most difficult songs in the world, a famous French composition called "S.O.S. D'un Terrien En Détresse"...Since then all this madness began on the internet, RUclips and social networks worldwide and he is already considered the best singer on the entire planet... It is almost impossible to see a human being, being able to reach vocal ranges of 8 octaves, that is, the 88 keys of a digital piano, which allows him to reach all registers, both masculine and feminine, that is, he can sing as Bass, Baritone, Tenor, Contratenor, Contralto, Mezzosoprano and Soprano...You can see in RUclips to all kinds of experts (Vocal coaches, analysts, singing teachers, singers, youtubers, reactors, etc.), who have dedicated themselves to watching his videos and verifying for themselves that what is said about him is completely true...In addition to all this, Dimash is capable of singing in more than 12 languages...In all his concerts worldwide, tickets are sold in just seconds, via the internet, due to the immense popularity he has worldwide... Anyway, I think you haven't met this impressive singer yet, so here is the link to the first song that Dimash performed in China in that year 2017, the song S.O.S., and if it doesn't bother you, I would like you to mention me as the person who recommended it to you....Warning: You have to be prepared for thousands of views, comments and new subscribers....The video It is more recent, so it does not have the millions of views that the first ones, but it is more complete, including an intro, subtitles in several languages and better audio and sound quality.....ruclips.net/video/bDX3FhmyNac/видео.html
Yep, but in my country we had a famous tenor that was a master in singing classical music, but was also very successful in singing pop music. His name was Ge Korsten and you could listen to him on RUclips.
A consummate musician who crossed social boundaries to provide a bridge for so many to access opera by popularising some of the most beautiful tenor arias. Thank you for paying tribute, Nick. But no da capo in Handel arias? Isn’t that the best and most exciting part? Check out Natalie Dessai in “Tu del ciel ministro elletto!” 🙂ruclips.net/video/ChXIOeGkvX8/видео.html
Why do these “opera tenors” all sound so much lower than when others (like amateur choir tenors) sing at the same pitch? I can sometimes hardly believe it’s the same pitch (e.g. the solo tenor in Verdi’s Requiem we had got up to B♭₄ I think and it sounded nothing like that)… and, in fact, it’s one of the things I don’t like about “operatic” singing (besides squeaky sopranos and violins).
After Pavarotti, my favorite is probably Jussi Bjoerling. You should do something of his. Frankly, I know they have lots of fans and got lots of critical acclaim, but I think Pavarotti always stood above Domingo and Carreras (and sorry but Bocelli doesn't hold a candle to him).
Everyone is entitled to an opinion! I think many people either love him or hate him - it’s a unique sound but not for everyone. What singers do you like?

but then he got rubato wrong, slurring it american like wubahdou
Have seen "The Three Tenors" in Vienna many years ago! It was a really Great Event! 50.000 People! For me, it was a "once in a life"!
This song is the Hail Mary prayer put to music.
Ave Maria always brings to mind that magnificent ice skating performance of Oksana Baiul.
He did keep gum in his mouth for moisture. "Nessun Dorma" is the best.
What a legend!
I think that I'm in love ❤

Really good analysis.
Pavarotti is amazing his best duet i think is Caruso whit Lucio Dalla from the pavarotti and friends concert in 1992.
Luciano: you don' t pronounce the "i" , it only serves not to say [lukano]: [lutschano]. Similar to ciabatta or

Could you please react Vo Solcando un mar Crudele by Franco Fagioli?
Him and Mario Lanza no one could hold a candle to them.
So true
O yes there are a view. For example the young Dutch STUNNING SUPER SOPRANO Amira Willighagen and Nightwish lead singer Floor Jansen can.

Have you listened to Corelli? Now that's a tenor!
Ohhhh you bet !!!! Who is your favourite tenor?
@@nickhiggsthesinger oh I have a few! I love Brownlee, Corelli, Vickers, G. Raimondi and Bruce Ford. :) But I listen to all of the greats.

Павороти безукоризненный!
Павороти тут уже старенький, не Роберт но лорети((
is not singing in Italian: this is latin
Italian latin :)
@@nickhiggsthesinger it does not exist. Many italian words come from latin, but they are two different languages..
Here Pavarotti sings the same Ave Maria in Italian: ruclips.net/video/tBpfMYFumzA/видео.htmlsi=YOxjNbUs9rYlUyG4
I think he sounds throaty.

@@nickhiggsthesinger Well, I was being casual with my impression. I like the Welsh tenor Stuart Burrows singing Mozart.
Oh lord, just enjoy the music don't dissect it.
