    Very useful sir . How a sentence with “ dık “ is formed if the main clause tense is different from the subordinate clause tense ? I mean like “ The engineers whom I worked with will arrive in Istanbul tomorrow “ and I don’t know if that even possible in these particular suffixes . Thanks

    • @LearnTurkishvia
      @LearnTurkishvia  3 года назад +5

      The suffix "dık" stays the same and you can change the time by choosing the proper time suffix that you want. Ex: "The engineers whom I worked with will arrive Istanbul tomorrow. "Birlikte çalıştığım mühendisler yarın İstanbul'a varacaklar."

    Aren't 'yanmak' and 'boyanmak' reflexive forms of the verbs 'yakmak' and 'boyamak'? I think 'yakılmak' is the passive form of the verb 'yakmak'. I also think that some verbs like 'boyamak', 'yıkamak', etc. are only used in reflexive form 'boyanmak', 'yıkanmak', and so on. Since reflexive and passive are very similar, both in structure and meaning, they are translated to English as passive voice.

    • @LearnTurkishvia
      @LearnTurkishvia  Год назад +2

      Yorumun için teşekkürler. Büyük oranda haklısın. Fakat burası şimdilik reflexive ile pasif yapıları detaylarıyla açıklamak ve karşılaştırmak için uygun değil. Belki C1 derslere başlayınca bunlardan da bahsedebiliriz.

    This is really a great lesson. you had explain it so smoothly many thanks to you for that. I would be very grateful if you can complete the story by expanding on the subject of using the past or future participles (dik or ecek adjectives) as nouns ex: Babamın geleceğini siz mi söylediniz?. Also on the differences between -dik or ecek nouns and the short infinitive. best regards

      For verbal adjectives, you can take a look at the video lesson below:
      ruclips.net/video/QpDEBPC00fw/видео.htmlsi=C3M9x7fIhzzwcCt1
      And about your question
      The books that I read = okuduğum kitaplar
      The things that I read = okuduklarım
      Or
      The ones that I read = okuduklarım

    Does is an/en work for past and present?

    • @LearnTurkishvia
      @LearnTurkishvia  3 года назад

      Generally, if the word ends with a consonant we use "l" and if it ends with a vowel we use "n".

    i have struggle to separate the -en -an with dik-tik okuduğum kitap çok ilginç ben okuyan kitap çok ilginç fark ne?

    • @LearnTurkishvia
      @LearnTurkishvia  Год назад +1

      "-an, -en" suffix is for the person, for the subject:
      Sokakta koşan ÇOCUK
      Balkonda oturan ADAM
      "-dık, -dik" suffix is for the object:
      Benim okuduğum KİTAP
      Onun yazdığı MEKTUP
      You can't say "okuyan kitap çok ilginç."
      You need to say "Okuduğum kitap çok ilginç."

    • @LearnTurkishvia

      They are almost the same, just the way we say is a bit different.
      Kırılmış pencere = the broken window
      Pencere kırık = the window is broken
