    I don't think gaming companies truly understand how hurtful to their business it is to not hunt down and ban cheaters instantly. You can play just a couple random games and will experience it, people just instantly gunning you down as you come around a corner crouching... it just instantly kills the game for anyone playing legit. And the fact it's still happening after so many years, come on man....Can't be that hard to find some people to admin the game 24/7 and take immediate action. It's not a small game with upcoming game studios...

      Lots of games make money off cheaters. They ban them and cheaters buy a new account. That is the scummy part of competitive gaming. Video game industry as a whole is a trillion dollars easy. They have the money to lobby the government for laws that target creators/seller of the cheats. They should be jailed and fined. This would severely decrease the amount of cheaters in games. It's disgusting that some of the top games cheaters buy monthly sub for best cheats. Making sure their cheats are always updated and a step ahead of detection. That's probably easy to do if you're a dev for that same game. Turning one paycheck into two. These cheat sellers make a stupid amount of money. It's a million dollar industry that's legal for some reason. So again ask yourself why have these rich gaming companies done nothing legally to help all their games rid themselves of this issue. When the know 100% they can't stop the cheaters through game security. The only answer I can think of is cheaters make them more money one way or another.

      people cheat for lots of different reasons, but a common one for people who compete at the top levels of any competitive endeavor is a feeling of deserving a top spot. Facilitator may have been a very good player who could have made it to the top legitimately, but that would take a LOT of time and grinding. add in the fact that there were groups of people who were already cheating, they may have felt that since they (in their mind) deserve that top spot, how they achieve it doesnt matter.
      For example, a really famous and popular trackmania player named riolu, who was legitimately a top player, cheated a lot of records. It wasn't bc he couldn't get the world record on whatever track, it's that it would take a lot of time. if you are the best, and everyone knows youre the best, wouldnt it just be faster to cheat and get a record you know you can get anyway? thats how a lot of cheaters think

    • @thegiovannimauro

      It makes sens to perform worse under pressure (large prize and/or crowd watching you irl) and then there's the physical aspect where the setup you play on may be very different from your own or just uncortable from the subtle differences on the LAN/tourney setup. Poor performance at a LAN/tourney isn't necessarily indicative of cheating if they play well normally, but it can be a red flag if there is a huge difference.

    For every one we catch, there are thousands still among us.

  • @MHGFTW
    @MHGFTW Год назад +15

    There's only two ways of dealing with cheaters. I'm a teacher myself, and have learned that there's 2 ways to keep the kids from misbehaving. One is to warn every single misbehaving kid, until they know your perception is good enough to catch whatever they're doing. The other is to punish one kid, so the others know you mean it. If you do neither, things get out of hand, and you'll no longer be able to teach because too many kids keep misbehaving. You need to stay ahead of that problem. If your perception is not good enough to be right on top of every misbehaving student, you have to punish one student whenever you do catch them.
    Same thing goes with cheating. If you can't detect propperly, you have to harshly punish whenever someone does get caught. Otherwise the risk doesn't outweight the "reward". If the only punishment is to stand in the hallway for 2 minutes, that's not going to do anything. The student is actually going to enjoy the little break and do the same thing when he comes back knowing your punishments are soft.

    • @osterhai
      @osterhai Год назад +1

      Thats sadly not applicable for a problem this big, cheaters are currently always ahead of the game producers. In this system its more like a fight than a teacher and students.

    • @MHGFTW
      @MHGFTW Год назад

      @@osterhai Explain how it's not applicable then... I listed two options to deal with the issue and you say one of them wouldn't work (catching all of them). Where is you explaination about the other option not working?

    • @osterhai
      @osterhai Год назад

      @@MHGFTW Well its simply because Cheaters dont fear consequences, getting banned is not realy a punishment they just pull up again with another account. While there are ways to ban a cheaters hardware address, there are workarounds for that as well. Your 2 options arent wrong, the problem is just already so out of hand that its hard to deal with them in the first place. Banning a big cheater to scare the others away wouldnt work because they know that its not possible (at the moment) to ban them for good.

    • @MHGFTW
      @MHGFTW Год назад

      @@osterhai Seems like it's perfectly applicable then. Detection is not possible, so there has to be a harsh punishment. Just like I said in my example, you're really supposed to stay ahead of this problem, or else everyone starts misbehaving.
      You said it yourself: banning is not enough to scare people. They will just make a different account. I mentioned this in my example too. If the punishment is to light (2 minutes in the hallway), kids won't care.
      I'm pretty sure we've both come to the same conclusion, it's just that you're lacking in imagination. Detecting and punishing everyone won't work, so there needs to be a harsh enough punishment that scares most people from misbehaving/cheating.
      Epic (fortnite) did it right. They sued that kid for all he and his parents were worth. Take them to court. Make them lose everything they own, even their house. If it's kids make their parents pay thousands. Make parents take responsibility for their children, just like they used to.
      Cheaters have zero concept what it means to break terms of service. They have no idea how much damage they're doing to the game. Especially in a BR, every game they play they're ruining it for 50+ other people.
      Once a handfull of stories like that get out, you'll see the vast majority of cheaters stop, because they don't want to risk any serious concequences. That's just how people are. They need a propper concequence to keep them from doing something.
      Can you imagine reading about a cheater who lost his house, and as a result had his children taken from him? You can't go easy on this kind of trash.

And they should be held accountable and have to pay the money back. That would put a stop to cheating.

Not saying a lot of pro's cheat as most are really good at what they do, but not just in apex but other games, there are quite a few to me that quite often do things that are very sus, as usual though people will defend and defend until that streamer/pro really slips up. (to be honest though even if a streamer/pro "slips up" they still somehow find it in their soul to defend them)

    As a gamer of over 25 years in the FPS community and a game developer for over 10 years... i now see that cheating is the #1 threat to online competitive FPS games. I'm pretty sure its destructive power is far more than anyone realizes. I'm definitely not going to spend money on an entertainment product for people to cheat at and somehow make money doing it. Count me out of that system. I'm of the opinion that most players are actually cheating in the high competitive levels. And just the fact that I have no confidence in their ability to actually combat this issue is why I'm basically no longer spending money on online competitive FPS games. I also think that game streaming was a huge mistake. Twitch is an absolute disaster for gamers, games, and is being turned into a softcore porn platform by women. I don't mind the long form youtube breakdowns and reviews, but the streaming gameplay is something you should only watch if you have a specific objective in mind... like "how do I get past this certain point I've been stuck at too long" Otherwise watching streams is like watching someone else watch a movie. It is so destructive to games and gamers, it ruins enjoyment and turns gamers into "followers" who's identity is found in someone else. Streamers know it isn't good for them or their audience. It is also the reason for cheating to be a financial gain as well. It is basically cult like behavior.

    TRUE FACTS FOR SEASON 3-6 RIGHT HERE FROM ONE OF FACILITATURS OLD TEAMMATES:
    Hi, I was FeaRz Ru in the video shown at 2:00. I have actual insider information about the truth of what happened in these seasons, as I was one of the main third that dusty shmeat (drip capalot), need a soda, and facilitatur played with. Never heard of anyone named "kauzey", and I will tell you right off the bat, that some of this stuff is inaccurate as far as the beginning of your story goes. As the 3rd in season 4, when top 500 was released, I solo climbed to the top of apex predator. I needed a team, a good one. That's when I met drip capalot (shmeat) and facilitatur. As they were #3, 4, I was #6. Anyway inaccuracies in the beginning of the videos are as follows:
    1. No, we were not cheating at the start of our meeting, no one cheated in seasons 4-5-6.
    2. We played all night, switching between me and our friend Markley every night to help achieve Facilitaturs #1 status in season 5 (no teaming, cheating , walls, etc, at the time I was an account booster, getting paid daily to bring accounts from diamond to master within one session)
    3. Season 6 is when the teaming stuff happened. And it was not during the whole season. It was the last 2 days of the split. basically, we had been going back and forth with xynoas team and were neck and neck with them and dusty shmeat at the time was holding onto the #1 apex predator. No one was using hacks or cheats in these games. We were back to back winning 165s basically every game, even nights going on 10 win streaks because we were all simply that talented and had the chemistry.
    4. On the 2nd to last day of the split while we are up 1500 ranked points and evidently going to secure the lead, a user and follower who frequently watched Xynoa and SkittleCakes streams called "HAWAIIAN PUNCH" was known to boot people offline if they mad him upset in ranked (he was a pred and would often hit servers offline to achieve this status as well.)
    5. This kid was their friend and vowed to them that he would help them get #1 just in time. What a coincidence, me and Dusty Shmeat are both held offline for the entirety of the 2nd to last day of the split.
    6. By the time we log back on, our ranked lead was dimished by over 2,000 (They did an all-nighter the same night that we got hit offline and continued playing throughout the day, so they basically got their friend to boot us offline so they could steal the lead on the last day of the split.)
    7. Knowing that they would play the entire day and maintain their 2,000 ranked point lead, we had two options. Option 1: Stream snipe their team and shut them down with wins to try and get the lead back. This was working well and we started to catch up little by little everytime we'd kill them and win a game. However, they caught on and shut down their stream.
    8. We had to make a choice. None of the players in those videos ever cheated or teamed with anyone before this, but we had a decision to make. Let them keep their completely false #1 pred for that season, or do ANYTHING to get Shmeat back his rightfully deserved #1 rank.
    9. We hit up multiple top 50-100 preds (our 3 man, plus 6 others) to destroy lobbies as fast as possible and try to catch up to the lead.
    10. Xynoa and Skittlecakes notice this, and react back in the same way, hitting up 6 of their friends as well to counter the teaming!
    11. So now there are top 100 preds in apex in ranked lobbies going throughout the day having 9v9 battles in end zone with every type of legend to be able to fight and wipe as a 9 man (comms were INSANE)
    12. As they 9 manned us back, there was no real way for us to catch back up to Shmeat's rightfully deserved #1 status that season.
    13. We never teamed any other day or night for all of those split days from season 3-6, it was literally one night and we never did it again. We had a reason to do it. We weren't about to let 45+ days of constant grinding and sleepless nights go to waste, so we did what we could.
    14. All of the accounts associated with the cheating did actually get banned for 2 months. That was the penalty we recieved.
    Anyway, we couldn't catch up, they untruthfully took the #1 pred rank that season, and the whole thing blew up. It was probably the funnest day and night I've ever had on Apex to be honest. So much grinding and sweat and sleepless nights went into maintaining Shmeats #1 rank, just for skittles team to unrightfully steal it from us. I'm not upset anymore about it, and looking back, it was probably one of the best nights I've ever had in gaming history. Anyway, haven't finished the video yet, but I just wanted to straighten some things up as far as seasons 3-6 go for the people who care, or want to read the true story of what happened because every video I've seen talking about this never gets it 100% correct, which is actually quite amazing. Take it from somone who was there. Btw, I never carried over to PC, so not 100% sure of the events that occurred there so I won't speak on it. if u read this just know this is the 100% truth of what happened.

    I would say this is a huge problem in both COD and Apex, not only are cheaters and exploiters hard to keep out of the games, there's too many people on the AC teams and Social media teams clout chasing with streamers or top players that have the potential to become profitable social media persons, because they hold a high rank in one of these games when some of them are cheating.
    Both EA and now Microsoft really need to review these teams and especially do a over haul of their HR departments specifically in recruiting. These AC team positions should lean a lot heavier on ethics than they do coding, because as we have all experienced there isn't a single AC team out there who are as strong of coders as the cheat devs or the problem would be solved. What's needed is more of these AC team member and social media team members with better ethics so we don't have these situations.
    Now if the person is just hitting apex pred because they want the items and its one time , fine , its a game. The whole concept of multiplayer games is a participation trophy for life anyway, at least they aren't straight doing an unlock tool. That is a little understandable. But if they are doing this season after season or trying to play in tourneys or trying to launch a streaming career that is when AC teams should really comedown on a cheater, not interacting with them on twitter.
    "Shanice says hey" for COD and "Hideouts" for Apex are probably the biggest cancers in FPS right now, because they facilitate spotlighting a lot of cheaters in their respective games. For those that don't know Shanice is the COD social media manager that basically pushed nadia to the forefront and protected her when Censor could have exposed her. So its obvious she also pushed a lot of other cheaters into high profile spots as cod streamers based on their gender, orientation, or her personal attraction to them, not on their mechanical skills. Some have been found out again like nadia and 5x5 X , some have still been yet to be fully exposed. However, its really these kinds of individuals that destroy a game more than the actual cheaters.
