If you saw the entirety of the interview/press conference, the journalists' questions are designed to stir controversy. But despite being treated harshly and being egged to answer controversial questions, their answers were so professional, respectful and accurate that it made the journalists look bad instead.
I always enjoy rewatching Cashual Chuck's SB19 Documentaries, they are well research,, maybe you want to know more about SB19 you can consider Kwento Juan episodes 5&6, Toni Talks with SB19, Korean Times Interview and many more.. Thank you Bryanna for considering our MAHALIMA,,

New sub here… but just to make a correction. Hong ganda or the korean girl is their teacher it is Stell who makes the choreography with the help sometimes of Ken. Will wait for your next RVs about my #mahalima (mahal - love and lima - means five). Again Thank you
Thank you
New subcriber here
I like you girl❤
I guess because of language barrier, it's not easy to assume a person's tone of voice. But that journalist's tone of voice was absolutely mocking as he asked his questions throughout the whole thing, especially at the gay issue. He was making fun of Stell's looks and name because of the fact Stell does have some sort of girly manner to him. Ironically, he is gay as well so idk where he gets off mocking another person like that.
As for the question regarding them sounding like Koreans, It had less to do with the fact their company is owned by a South Korean, those journalists wouldn't think twice and appreciate Kpop music, but they oddly think Filipinos taking the "Pop" route as opposed to "Rock", or "Ballads" which is predominant in the Filipino Music Industry for a long time, as such called "OPM". SB19 taking on a much modern path and standard to pop a.k.a Groups that can dance and sing was such an alien concept regardless of Filipinos usually being an avid supporter of Kpop. Sb19 really had to go through so much disrespect as they attempted to break through the Philippine social norms and thankfully, these boys succeeded in something that almost seemed impossible as Philippines was stuck in their ways for quite a time. I'm not the type to stan or be a fan of boy groups, the pop group I just liked back then was Girl's Generation but SB19 made me appreciate and enjoy the fact Filipino music is taking a new, and fresh turn from the Filipino Classics.
