No doubt your neighbors love you! The quickness of cleaning, organizing, infrastructure, fencing, planting you bring to your land purchases is impressive. The fact you are so respectful of your impact on others is wonderful .... I wish you could have a chat with one of my neighbors 😂😂😂😢

When our neighbors kids were little they had a little tykes playhouse that my babies used to watch the big girls play. Everyone is grown up & they removed that & put in a shed with garden/yard stuff behind it. So when I’m washing dishes, I see mulch, tomato cages, tools etc. every time we have a thunderstorm, I hope it gets hit by lightening

@@Debbie3360 I totally relate! We put in a 30' long x 8' tall serpentine privacy fence because we could not enjoy our deck and side yard because of the neighbors derelict storage building, disgusting dog run and dumping ground for nursery pots, tools, ladders, defunct beekeeping boxes .... just a horror you never expect to move in next door in a neighborhood of stately old estate home on multi-acre lots.

I have gotten so many good ideas from Laura. Behind my home there's an area that i did nothing with but planted a silver maple years ago. Now the idea of making a bern, raising it up,adding trees like dogwoods, a few more crepe myrtles ,an i want a crabapple that has those red berries in the winter. Then i can add low shrubs to it,some pinnacle hydrangeas, roses, bulbs, annuals. Wish i had done this many years ago. I just had no idea. Watching Laura is like having a personal landscape designer. 😊

Be careful putting pine trees in the buffer mounds. I did it, and when they really get large, with winds, they tend to lean. Mine started leaning. I ended up building a stunning retaining wall, but that won't work in your application. The mounds are not able to hold the root ball in the end.

Now I'm really looking forward to Spring to see what you'll get accomplished then. Loved seeing Russell with his butt in the air while he got a drink from the fountain. I don't like when cats swat at me either the way that Douglas does, but he is doing it in part because you aren't paying attention to him. It's difficult to train them not to do it. I love that blue spruce - how gorgeous!

It’s my dream to grow all the best greenery for making Winter/Christmas decorations - wreaths, garlands, arrangements- like Martha Stewart. She can tromp around her property clipping all the best things for decorating.
I like to grow Autumn decor stuff, too, which is easier. I like to grow Lunaria, Chinese Lanterns, Magnolias, and flowers to dry. I need some cattails! Now you guys have inspired me to grow some wheat. LOL.
In the Spring I like forsythia and pussy willows and things to force indoors, along with the usual suspects-tulips, daffodils, etc.
My other fantasy is to grow our own Christmas trees, planning them out for years to come and even for the grandkids to harvest. It would be such fun to watch them grow and keep them trimmed, having different types to change it up. We don’t have room for that project.

Beautiful trees! We are hoping to add a Serbian Spruce at our home in spring. Your excitement is fun to see, but I bet Aaron was even more excited!

Amazing! And, yes, to getting rid of the elderberry so you can see that super cool tree as the focal point in that corner of the westside garden.

It would be fun for the kids to make some bird feeders out of all those pinecones! Just spread on peanut butter and roll in birdseed.

What a great video!!!! I love all the trees. There was something so satisfying about the huge equipment digging and moving trees without anyone breaking their back. I’m digging it! Lol

I live in what used to be a rural area in North Florida. People are buying plots of land and indiscriminately clearing all the trees off the property. It drives me nuts. You want some shade in Florida b/c of the heat.

New barn build incorporating machinery shed/storage on one side especially for your tractor and farm equipment. You can never have enough storage on a property!

Laura, here in NE Arkansas we were upgraded to a zone 8a recently. Well, next Monday our temperatures are 15 for a high and -1 for the low. Tuesday is forecast as being 15 and 7. The lows can be near 0 in our zone because it's only for an hour or two. When it stays near zero all day, that's where your zone needs to be lowered.

I just love the look of evergreens. They add so much structure. And they're so cute when they're small too. We lost a juniper last year. I definitely want to plant an evergreen this spring to make up for that.

Love the videos today and seeing all the machines and trees. Have you thought of putting some of the tree Aaron's Dad sends you pictures of that the birds love the fruit? Bring the birds to eat the bugs....So nice to see development of the new and old property. Thank you for taking us along. Maybe just build a tree house on stilts and then plant the trees around it. That might be fun..... Dream on Laura and Aaron. Have a great day. Glad the kids are feeling better.
