@Peek your printer should come with the power cable to plug your printer to power socket, but it not come with USB cable to connect to your computer or laptop, there is a link for USB cable on this video

Hi just to mention you don't need the USB cable if you have WiFi network as you can connect the phone and smart phone to the same WiFi to do the job you want to do copying, scanning and printing

@@peekarosieposie No worries hence you have WiFi network connect your printer to WiFi using Hp smart app on your phone. Basically download Hp smart app from play store then search for available printer and add your printer, click on the printer if you find it on the app it will ask you to put your WiFi password to connect, I have a video how to set up / connect to WiFi

@Peek yes you need to install the ink cartridges or tanks that come with the printer if you purchased it new and follow the guide to load it to your printer to be able to print your document, good luck and let us know how you get on

When you run out of ink and you need to get new cartridges, do you have to pay the monthly fee on £10 for the printer to actually print?

No, when your ink runs you can buy new ink cartridges to replace it unless you have an ink subscription plan from HP then they would send ink to you when it is running out
