Awesome job .Nice to see how it's done . So many different epoxies and primer and paint etc ,it must cost a fortune to stock all the different paints. Not something the guy at home could afford.
Have a look at the muscle car paint series we’re doing, epoxy- poly and primer. Poly is in a kit and all the others including colour and clear has the same hardener and thinner
I decided to clear coat my headlights in 2k as they were wellow and yuk. Anyway, one thing I learnt from watching you was add more clear than you need. The amount of fine sanding and polishing, especially around sharp edges was where the extra really made sense. The project came out amazing and yes, 3 days it took, however they look amazing. No where near the skill level of your work, but patience is the key. Thank you.
Just amazing attention to detail. You only get out what you put in. Sorry but like to ask a question.. know you've covered it before but can't find it. Mix ratio for water/metho cleaner and should it be distilled water? Thanks again for great instructional videos!
Boss XC is one of my favourite cars ever. One (2?) of my previous favourites was Rock 1 & 2. Is it difficult, putting so much of yourself, and effort into a car like this, when you have to hand it over to its owner? I know I’d find it hard. Love your work and videos Howard. 😃👍
Few questions 1. Why not paint it in your booth? 2. What was the cost to get it done at the ppg centre? 3. What was the overall cost of the whole job for the customer??
1. it would taken me 3 or 4 months to do what was done in 2 weeks, plus my set up is very basic compared to the PPG setup 2. Its a training centre not a customer workshop 3. we don't talk costs on Socials
Great work Howard !! I have a question you guys paint with the doors on so the colour matches perfect and then flowcoat with doors off to have no tape marks ? Is that correct
Amazing craftsmanship
thankyou
Great to see A time Lapse of...months of work & Detail into. What's Required in building a Howard Astill Car > BOSS XC..❤.
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks Howard for sharing your knowledge
My pleasure!

I am normally happy to see the back of them, This one will be back for a visit before Summernats
Bloody hell that is sooo glassy and reflective. Be super stoked with a spray job of that quality.

That’s correct
I'm still confused at painting the exterior before the underside and engine bay
It was a scheduling thing, car had tp be at PPG on a set date and the underside wasn't ready, so I did it after.
@@AstillDesign but you would've done it viceversa?
Normally do but this worked out good.
