*BEST* How to remove hair bonding glue to reuse weave/track/extensions

  • Removing Hair bonding glue from extensions/track/weft of hair. I HAVE LITERALLY READ AND TRIED EVERYTHING that was posted. NOTHING works better than this method.
    WHAT YOU WILL NEED: 1. Thin Cloth 2. Flat iron, iron, curlers or anything hot 3. Alcohol pads (optional) 4. Rubber gloves (optional)
    I was sick and tired of having to buy new hair, remember DO NOT WET THE WEFT!! do not soak the glue, use acetone, hair bonding remover, any of that BS. This method is the best. And don't forget to wash and condition the hair AFTER you remove the glue. ENJOY!

      I've been using alcohol to remove the glue since the 90's I have found that if you spray the track while it's still in your hair most of the glue comes off the track b4 you even slide it down your hair strands to remove it. I have never had to use heat. The glue that's left in my hair came out easily with a fine tooth comb. I then would immediately wash and deep condition my hair afterwards.

    So, what I've found is that coconut oil, over a period of a couple of days, will completely dissolve the glue. I take a flea comb and and running it through the extensions a bit just to pulverize anything that's left. After that I wash the hair with a clarifying shampoo and that's it. It gets the glue off and also deep, deep conditions the wefts. Thanks for the video.

      Shakira Patterson well, it depends, but in about 24 hours or so it will become diluted goo. Then you can just clean it and it makes the hair soft and healthy too.

    Oh my goodness thank you so much! I've tried so many different ways. Oil, nail polish remover, clarifying shampoo, picking it off with a tweezers, just about anything you can think of I've tried. I usually use a combination of techniques and lately have been melting the glue with a flat iron and then kind of rubbing it off with a rag. I now feel kind of stupid for not thinking of this technique. ....lol. It seems so obvious now that I've done it. Seriously it works SO well! My tracks look brand new. This is going to save me so much time and money! Thank you thank you thank you so much!!!!

    I have a question lease help me, I used this method to remove my glue and re-use it, but the only thing was there was still tacky gooey feel to the weft part where the glue was. Is there a way to remove that sticky goopeyness as well??

    • @lulapaloozah
      @lulapaloozah  10 лет назад +2

      Hmm, I didn't experience any goopeynes with mine. You may have to experiment a little. Maybe a higher heat setting? I noticed that the flat iron actually burns the glue off. This heat dries it out and makes it come off. Dry blow drying the weft first, it should make it even more dry, then repeat this process, it will probably turn the glue into a dust that you should be able to wipe off. Try it and let me know!
