"Dad, why is my sister's name Rose?" "Because your mom loves roses." "Oh, thanks dad." "No problem, F. Chopin : Nocturne in c sharp minor for violin and piano"
My father used to play the violin, very beautifully, I admired him. When my father died I was 10 years old, I didn’t cry on the day of his funeral, I couldn’t, somehow. When I turned 11 years old I started playing the violin to represent the tears I couldn’t let out that day, and give my late mourns. Now that I’m 16 years old, I finally cried while playing this piece, I cried like never before. This means so much to me, by the fact that these notes made me finally cry my father’s death after those years.
Its not about face. Pretentious people care about appearance when performing. Music is not about that. If I were a musician, I would be really pissed by comments like that.
I would put it differently. Her facial expression shows how well she knows the piece. It's a tribute to her understanding, as not only a musician, but a human as well. There are many people in the world capable of playing this piece without fail, probably thousands. However there are only a few who truly understands the intended way the composer would have it played, and who are able to play it as such. This duo does, and thus the message is conveyed accordingly. The great classical artists are not the skillfull ones, who practise 10+ hours every day. Rather the ones who live and breathe it, those who submerge themselves in it, and let their souls do the playing. Then again. What do I know. I'm just a random comment on the internet ;)
I normally never cry when listening to music, except for when that specific song has a deeper, personal meaning for me, for instance when it triggers a memory. I was watching the movie John Wick 4 today and this song is somewhere at the beginning. I immediately stopped the movie and looked it up as I knew the piano version (I used to play too) but not the one with violin. Well, I had tears streaming down my face, for no reason except for the music itself. I must have listened to it 10 times in a row. This is truly otherworldly beautiful, I still have goosebumps. I'm turning into my dad I think, since he told me that he sometimes cries when listening to classical music and at the time I thought that while I understood, I never had that happen to me. Now it did happen to me and now I truly understand. Turning into my dad is not such a bad thing, he is a good man

this piano is so melacholic, that's freaking good, and the violino shines above everything bringing the feeling to complete the atmosphere with the piano
This is just so beuatiful. My mum always loved Chopin and so do I. He was able to mix the sad with the beautiful. He is one of the most talented composers of all time and this is a great version of one of the most beautiful peices ever
I realised i heard this song 6 years ago in a movie, "karate kid". Listening to this brought me such joy- When I first heard it, the sounds were too loud for me at the time, now, it's simply soothing and a joy to hear.

it’s one thing to play well but another thing to play with such emotions
Bravo, Maestro! You make your violin talk, whisper, cry, and tell secrets to us; it's almost alive. Beautiful performance, I will definitely be listening again.
I don't think I heard something so beautiful in my life. Just listening to this adds a few minutes to one's life, postpones the formation of wrinkles and gives you less gray hair.
this piano is so melacholic, that's freaking good, and the violino shines above everything bringing the feeling to complete the atmosphere with the piano
i’m tearing up... the talent..... the passion
i always had a vision on how this piece should be played and you just nailed it
the amount of emotion she gives off from just the violin alone is incredible!
And then there's Justin Bieber's video with over 1 billion views. That just shows how small a number of people actually enjoy good music like this.
haha I'm happy you enjoy this music:)
This has 2 million views now though lol
B WebStudios He said 1 *Billion*.

Every time I hear this I cry like a baby ...
I liked the piano version but this duet is so much better. It left me with intense chills and made me cry so hard it's so beautiful.
Rockstar 😢😢♥️♥️
THIS IS POWERFUL! You can just see the energy she puts into her notes nd strokes ! AMAZING 🙏🏻
This is just so beuatiful. My mum always loved Chopin and so do I. He was able to mix the sad with the beautiful. He is one of the most talented composers of all time and this is a great version of one of the most beautiful peices ever
2:50 Amazing rebirth. It's been a long time since I had goosebumps like that !
I'm completely under the spell. you're great !

True
I realised i heard this song 6 years ago in a movie, "karate kid". Listening to this brought me such joy- When I first heard it, the sounds were too loud for me at the time, now, it's simply soothing and a joy to hear.
Posthumous Chopin Nocturne in C-Sharp-Minor.
Not a "song".
It's classical music. Not American Idol.
@@alexeicogan4733 We are all here to enjoy it. It doesn't matter what we call it as long as we listen to it.
@@Jenty28 he is right tho, you might call it "piece"
I have listened to this at least 20 times in the past month.... and I still can't get enough

Thank you youtube for bringing this back to my feed. Please like this comment if you see, I don't want to forget this. She is so good at violin. Thank you Gemma Violin. This performance was an experience rather than video. I can't thank you enough.
Nothing beats this performance, the emotion in it is just overwhelming and so powerful. Thank you for sharing this magnificent work of art.
