I was on stage with Troyanos several times (chorus). She was friendly to everyone and often conversed with us. She was a wonderful human being. A great voice and magnificent artist. May she rest in peace.
For my tastes, she had one of the most beautiful voices ever. It wasn't to everyone's tastes but there's something about her timbre I find really emotive and ravishing.
@@osmanthusc1220 I just love how androgynous her voice is. I can see why she excelled so much in trouser roles and why she was equally as stunning as Eboli, Charlotte and Cleopatra.
Alas, we lost Troyanos too soon 💔💔💔 We’re lucky we have her Sesto preserved on both disc and video 💐💐💐 Still, she was under-recorded, regrettable for such a terrific artist. RIP Tatiana 🌹🌹🌹
What a beautiful, rich and wonderful voice with a wide range of repertoire in opera and concert. Unfortunately I heard her only once in a live-performance: Venus in TANNHÄUSER in a MET - performance with Zylis - Gara, Cassily, Morris etc. among others, Levine conducting. Her early death was greatly mourned.
@@LohengrinO Yes, she did. And it was absolutely great! I don‘t know the exact date, but it was 1978 / 1979. A performance, which is unforgotten, and, by the way, the shepherd was …….. Kathleen Battle!! The only time, I heard her life!
I like her in komposnisten, in sesto the older approach to the role is not for my taste cause they use to do sesto in a away to feminine fashion if compared to todays performances (And Sesto is a castrato role).... I like Berganza's recording tho.

Yes, one of those golden voices of my times that still has me spoiled …and a beautiful colleague and friend…
Congratulations on the Kennedy Center Honor.

Luxurious sound.... 1 000 000 000 dollars Voice

What can one say about her immense talent... I'm forever spellbound to her voice and statue on stage. Another Greek Goddess!
Así es , era muy talentosa , el arte lo llevaba en el ADN. Maravillosa.
Τατιανή, Τατιανή,
με τη μαγική φωνή,
ευχαριστούμε, Θοδωρή!
I have this sumptuous performance on VHS and have watched it no less than a thousand times. ❤️

@@LohengrinO There was a performance with a similar cast on September, 28th, 1978 on the MET, but also with Zylis-Gara, Troyanos, Cassily and Battle.
Great artist. and who can forget her in Bernstein's WEST SIDE STORY singing "America", She left us too soon.
