Fantastic idea. I had an engine shut down in rough water last year, and after bleeding everything out, the biggest challenge was getting fuel to refill the Racors. I’ll be adopting this one!
I know I will likely get someone here that comments negatively on what I'm about to say but here goes. I keep a few spare bottles of seafoam (yes seafoam) is good with desel too. When I change my filters, I use the seafoam to top them off and they serve a dual purpose. I prevent the shutdown, air pockets and also clean up the injectors at the same time --- win/win/win! Just another idea. :-)
I think so. Actually, that would be my preferred method. Some boats even came that way from the factory. Some have a simple inline pump and a momentary pushbutton to fill them. But most of us dont. Either way, my goal was to just have something ready that could fill the bowl in less than ideal conditions in a timely manner when needed most.

99% of the time we do that part at a time of our choosing and you have all the time you need. This is really for that other 1%.
Great idea! Better to be prepared 👍
I agree!

Go search for "project Farm" on youtube, He did a Seafoam test on a diesel and it worked great.
certainly has worked for me every time. :-)@@mvintrigue-trawlerdiy1101
Would it not be just as cost effective and easier to have an electric polishing pump tied into lines to prime system
