You said self defence is training to fight against untrained people? No,not necessarily?You're training self defence/boxing/martial arts,or whatever to defend yourself in a self defence situation/street fight. That could be against someone that is trained,or someone that isn't.
@warriormindsetpodcast yeah,but if i go take karate classes,or boxing,or Muay Thai,or what ever?My main purpose,besides fitness and fun,is to learn self defence. If i get inro a fight,i'm not going to ask if they're trained or not,and i don't have to do the sporting aspect to learn self defence,and i can still compete and learn self defence at the same time.

Right. But you’re still not engaging in “sport” when its a Self Defense scenario - regardless of your attackers skill level.
