- We toured #MackinacIsland discovered what a pasty is and learned a lot of history. What an amazing place to visit. It is truly one of the most unique places in the United States. Yes, the fudge is absolutely incredible we had to buy it twice. So you must add this place to your list to visit and spend a week exploring.

OK, here is the thing….here is the thing….(t-shirt worthy!)…Great job Shiela picking up the camera and filming Todd as he was driving. I truly enjoyed this video and I have to admit, I was really hoping we were going to see Todd’s reaction to driving over the bridge. I think that is part of the secret sauce of your success, Todd is extremely funny when he is nervous. I know I should not find humor in that, but it is so funny and one of the main reasons I got hooked on your videos….you two make me laugh. Another favorite phrase is when Todd says, “Shiela, that’s not funny” because usually when he says that, something funny follows! Thanks for another entertaining video!

One more thing. Take a Boat Ride from Mackinaw City on July 4th. You can see the Fireworks from 3 Cities. The Boat goes under the Bridge. It’s incredible!!!
Ok... when you come to AZ in the winter... or whenever you guys do come this way, our treat out to the Cornish PASTY Co!!! That and a 3 point turning lesson in a horse and buggy out on a farm in Cave Creek!!!! 🤣😂
Always another awesome video! And remember that the bridge - like all bridges was built by the lowest bidder. So that can give you something to think about as you take a elevator to the top of the towers in Las Vegas and Seattle, and other such places. . . .

We absolutely love Michigan and mackinaw island. Stayed in St. ignace KOA Holiday campground. When you go back Sheila, you should hike tahquamenon falls in the UP. Absolutely beautiful. As always, safe travels to you Both. Cheers from KC.

Thanks for sharing this one. I've heard a lot about Mackinac Island, but it sounded like a huge tourist trap. FUDGE is usually an indicator. If Sheila recommends it, maybe not too touristy! MI is becoming a possible destination for this westerner. No motorized vehicles does sound appealing. Good luck on the bridge!

I’m famous. Hooking the boat up to my camper, lol. After your next stop, you need to see Ludington MI. We just got home from staying at Poncho’s campground. First class and close to town and beach. I Need to send the picture we took as we where pulling out of Munising of us. Tim start you RUclips back up.

Cornish pasties yummy, in Cornwall a true Cornish pasty was half of the pastie is minced beef and cubed veggies and the other half is has apple filling which is your dessert!

It's a magical place ! My daughter and hubby go 2 times a year. They took me early May, so relaxing and beautiful. Happy you enjoyed it and plan to return.

It is my all time favorite vacation location. I’ve been going annually since the early 70s when I was a child & it is still magical. Treat yourself to a stay @ The Grand Hotel.

Living in Michigan have been to the island several times but early October we are spending a couple nights in a B&B on the island. Then on to Grand Maraia in the rv.

I'm calling it now.. if Shelia can't break away from the Great Lakes in August because of the water.. Acadia (and Maine in general) in the fall will be even harder to leave. 😉. Those colors, the rocky coast, the salt air.. it gets in your veins. This is coming from a former Main'ah!

We were just there in June. Crossing the bridge into UP didn’t bother me, but for some reason the trip back wigged me out. Can’t wait to see the video of Todd driving across. Good luck my friend.
Dealing with Ida damage and evacuation .. but still finding time to watch and do all the things. Definitely a bucket list destination. Great episode guys!

@@SwitchItUpLife very safe. Evacuated in advance of the storm in our North point 377. Will stay evacuated until conditions there improve, we estimate another 2-3 weeks. We're in a close suburb of Nola, so thankfully not in the flooded areas. Mostly roof damage and wind driven water issues for us. Have good home insurance so it's just a "thing" to deal with down the road of recovery. The primary issue for us is the lack of basic services like electric and water. Very thankful for our RV .. a life raft amongst this chaos.
We bought frozen pasties from our Boondocker's Welcome host to enjoy later...can't wait to try 'em. Judging from your video, I'll do gravy too. The horses do back up very cool! We did bikes on the island, they were so fun! I probably won't make our Mackinac video for many weeks, but yours is great! and you can never have too many marshmallows on your cereal.
