I met Jay Beattie back in 1994 at the first world championships in Guernsey, I also competed I was representing the UK Along side my brother Gadget who still skates, now the sport is known as streetboard.
The original movie was a vhs with fire and a devils head on the cover, right? Does anyone know it’s name or where to find the full movie? I owned it once :)
@@JamesBond-py8xs When the comment you're responding to was made Dimension and Highland streetboards were some of the more popular brands. You can see them in use in the video Streetboarding Enough Said. As for where to find a board today see Dragan Boards.
@@filmnoirprotagonist1436 Well these guys are really good at it. There's even a pro skater now that was shreding in a pool on one. I have an old vhs video that I think was on these. They had straps to put your feet into as well, but actually hard to do on just two wheels. I don't know why some things come and go the way they do but maybe these and roller blades are some things that are more popular elsewhere someplace. I've never been crazy about roller blades but I've also seen somebody killing it on a ramp years ago with roller blades. It's just a matter of what looks the most stylish to me I guess and that may be different for each person anyway. I'm sure that I couldn't do it. Everyone rips differently on their own thing though for sure.
I miss the oldschool guys.. Peace and good luck whereever they are.
