It's the original competition board. Always preferred them to the pro. I'm gonna get so many looks haha.
Well its a lot lighter than the stiffy or pro, yes, youll defintiely get some looks, have you ridden freelines yet?
Haha I looked at them and thought they would result in a definite injury so I'll leave those for now, and ever lol.
I was 37 when i started to ride them, even met the inventor and got to ride with him at NASS 08, never too old my friend. Interesting though, theres no center bar so you have to build up your inner thighs and groin muscles to be the center bar, the first few times you ride these you dont necessarily have the strength there, so you can end up going downhill really quickly doing the splits, if youre lucky your trousers start to fall down and stop you crippling yourself :) :) :) Ride safe and maybe ill see you at an event or park in the future :)
Wow I was at this comp, even spotted myself in the video! Can't wait for my new Dragan board to arrive so I can relive some of those old 90s memories🙌🏻🐍
Same here gonna get a dragan board haven't been on one in a decade, I won a comp in bristol, in 1999 i think
@@Gtiddy I've got two Dragan boards now, the cruiser for just bombing about and the pro for park stuff, you won't regret it.
I just to snakeboard in 1998 in Düsseldorf Germany with a modified Skinner. I also used Stiffy , Anderson One, Spluge, Ashly and Stiffy, which I still have in 2022! I am 49 now. And I still listen to British Breakbeats , Hatdcore, Jungle , Drum & Bass and House, Techno , Soul and Reggae and 80 ies Electronics Music. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!😁😁😁😁😁

I'm pretty sure that guy Mark Churchill would go on to present a show called Rad on Channel Five in the late nineties and would do skateboard tutorials on the show.

I still have my letter invite to the Uk championships. Amazing times and lucky as teenagers that this sport came into fashion. I still have mine and my brothers original boards.
I had one of these still pretty cool I was really little kid I got mine on the second edition came out in 1997
my cousin moved to Texas from California in the 90s. He was the only snakeboarder I ever met. I tried alot... but it was hard.
Can't even remember where my freestyle is anymore. Makes me want to get another but I'm 36 and would flake out after an hour.

Too much hard slams! That's why I loosen the straps so I can bailout from the board easier. Tight straps are dangerous!

Snake boarding was incredibly fun as a kid. Not sure I'd call it a fad.
