what i love is that this is a COUNTRY concert and yet the second the song start the crowd erupts and every one puts up the horns....music is universal.
For y'all who aren't musicians... understand that an established band with charting songs of their own to cover another musicians/band is the ultimate gesture of respect
They sure did! Metallica is my all-time favorite band, Jason Newsted is my favorite singer in the band! Enter Sandman was done in a very epic way, especially with Jimmy's solo!
Right on 👍🏻. Zac Brown is from Dahlonega , Ga. & it’s just a few miles down the road from where I live here in Suches , Ga. . I’m just saying . I LOVE ZBB ! I’ve seen Him & the Band oh goodness more times than I can remember. First time was in 2000 . ♥️🎶🎶🎶
This is amazing! Gotta love a country artist who isn't afraid to put another genre of music out there. They did an amazing job; gotta love that violin being played with that much love and it works amazingly with this song. They put their own spin on it and totally rocked this!
Zac is most likely the most talented singer, guitar player, and performer in our lifetime, yet he is always willing to give the spotlight to others. What an amazing man?
nosuchthingasnothing check out rebel meets rebel (Pantera country album) Then check out hank 3 “3 shades of black” As a die hard metalhead you won’t be upset
I'm a Metallica fan, and I've got to admit this is one of the best covers I've ever heard. I'm impressed. Kirk's solo on the fiddle was impressive, probably better than he can pull it off anymore. Great job! And as you can tell by my name this is one of my favorite songs of all time.
Hammett's guitar solo... On a fiddle??? Awesome! One of the best Sandman's covers I've ever heard... And this is coming from a huge Metal fan.. Respect! The crowd could do a little headbanging though, just for the mood.
Don't get me wrong, it sounds pretty badass, but at the point where you've heard Apocalyptica play the entire song as a 4 cello acoustic piece, a fiddle solo isn't impressive in and of itself. Nonetheless, the fiddler, and the entire band, did a fantastic job and mad respect to them for it.
Zack Podskoc it's actually quite impressive because he almost nailed it note for note on a fretless instrument using a wah that isn't intended to work with it...
Enrique Sotelo so how are you able to get past his voice? It dont work, if you can't sing metal music, which he can not. Huge metal fan you say? Really, and how did you manage to miss his singing? The voice blower, doesnt work for country metal.. sorry.
Amazing..... Now this is what I love about music.....taking the chance to step out of your comfort zone and bring a rocking song to life like this ....not even their style of music but rocked it ....blown away and impressed...
To see someone like Zac Brown play a song like this shows how much this band can take any type of music and show respect to other bands reguardless of the type of music. Great job Zac Brown Band.
I was watching the Pat MacAfee show yesterday and they had Zac Brown on talking about touring and stuff. I think it was pat that mentioned something about this. Had to check it out. Glad I did. Sounds awesome.
Ben Phillips In the day and age where fewer people are going to see shows and fewer still are buying records, all the non canned genres of music need to stick together hahaha
John adds that darker element as well as that deeper and grittier voice to this song that Zac couldn't do. But moreover, he adds a scarier aspect to this song, especially with how deep he sings the bridge into the last chorus. One of the best covers of this song I've heard.
I just stumbled across this video and like others have posted the fiddle solo blew my d@mn mind! I knew De Martini was amaze talented , but never imagined just how incredibly gifted the man is on the git-fiddle. My appreciation and respect of him and the Zach band just went way up. Hoping I can catch one of their mid-West shows this year.
that's what being an artist is. being able to improvise and make something just as amazing as an original. I'm surprised myself. and I'm a hardcore country fan. I didn't think it was going to be good at all. amazing.
You can tell this is just a group of guys completely in love with music/instruments and playing together. Because no matter what genre they play it’s almost always flawless. These men are true MUSICIANS
Working with what they had, this is phenomenal! And that guy with the beard is scary as al get out! The lead sounds amazing on the fiddle as well... One of my favorite versions of this song.
@@dannymurphy4261 well, it depends on if the production crew, including the camera ops, had seen the song and solo in rehearsal. If this song was an extra tossed in the encore, the director and camera ops all may have been guessing at this.
A COUNTRY artist, doing GRUNGE METAL... honestly, this is nice. This guy shall be Folk Metal. im liking this guy more for his metallica reference in his lineup.
When I saw this video I was scared it was going to be too country. But they delivered! This coming from a huge Metal fan and someone who has seen Metallica live before!
Okay, I love country and I love Metal. I love The Zack Brown Band and Metallica is easily my favorite metal band and to hear one cover the other kicks ass!
See this is what I am talking about.... I'm just a huge fan of bands that take other artists music and turn it into their own style. Now this it's just freaking genuine. Never in a million years. I think I would see this but I love it and hope To hear More songs like these.
Zac Brown Band is probably one of the only country bands I would go to see because they are so diverse. I like some county, pop and other styles but my choice is metal/heavy metal and I think they did a fantastic version of this song for a country band!
what i love is that this is a COUNTRY concert and yet the second the song start the crowd erupts and every one puts up the horns....music is universal.
For y'all who aren't musicians... understand that an established band with charting songs of their own to cover another musicians/band is the ultimate gesture of respect
Yup agreed its a honor indeed
And the fact Metallica let them play and film it
When you go to a country concert, you don't expect to hear Metallica.
Then they rocked it.
They sure did! Metallica is my all-time favorite band, Jason Newsted is my favorite singer in the band! Enter Sandman was done in a very epic way, especially with Jimmy's solo!
So turns out that if Zac Brown Band ever gets tired of country music they have a career in metal! That Violin solo was awesome! :D
Metal music all ready had there country sound it's called Folk metal:
ELUVEITIE - Rebirth
ruclips.net/video/d-pSq4MJmy8/видео.html
They can combine both
@s0liD_guitařmån The original is Metal. And i would Argue that this is pretty metal too..
When the intro to Enter Sandman starts, and the crowd immediately knows... Now THAT is a statement...!
Nate Ca oi
I know it right ?!!!as I listen I wish mr sandman would visit insomnia bad tonight
This is amazing! Gotta love a country artist who isn't afraid to put another genre of music out there. They did an amazing job; gotta love that violin being played with that much love and it works amazingly with this song. They put their own spin on it and totally rocked this!
I am a metal head and I can't give this enough thumbs up! Great rendition!!
Zac is most likely the most talented singer, guitar player, and performer in our lifetime, yet he is always willing to give the spotlight to others. What an amazing man?
Huh? Z is good, but that title goes to Chris Stapleton. Sorry but Stapleton is a far better singer, player and songwriter.
Etta Hinesley excuse me but Corey Taylor and James hetfield would like to have some words with you about this comment
When you got a Fiddle Player that can cover an Electric Guitar Lead pretty much note, for note, you get SUPERHERO STATUS...friggin amazing!!
Camera man's like; 'Ah, a guitar solo, probably a safe bet to zoom in on the guitar.. Wait, wtf that's the violin??'
That's a fiddle not a violen
Nicholas Tessier in reality a fiddle and violin are the same instrument, just the style of playing is a fiddle here.
I'm a metal fan, not a country fan. I may have to re-evaluate that position with this band!
nosuchthingasnothing the did a song with Chris cornel before he died too
nosuchthingasnothing heavy is the head
Haha yeah zac brown is alright they have a couple good songs, kinda remind me of skynrd
As you should! I'm a metalhead too!!
nosuchthingasnothing check out rebel meets rebel (Pantera country album)
Then check out hank 3 “3 shades of black”
As a die hard metalhead you won’t be upset
HOLY. FUCK!! Outta all people Zac Brown Band covered this song and it was amazing! I have so much respect for them!
After watching that fiddle solo I now have to rethink my entire musical life...
I'm a Metallica fan, and I've got to admit this is one of the best covers I've ever heard. I'm impressed. Kirk's solo on the fiddle was impressive, probably better than he can pull it off anymore. Great job! And as you can tell by my name this is one of my favorite songs of all time.
IM A HUGE METALLICA FAN AND WHEN I HEARD ZAC BROWN BAND DO ENTERSANDMAN I LOVED IT
Hammett's guitar solo... On a fiddle??? Awesome!
One of the best Sandman's covers I've ever heard... And this is coming from a huge Metal fan.. Respect!
The crowd could do a little headbanging though, just for the mood.
Enrique Sotelo even with a wah pedal
Pretty tight
Don't get me wrong, it sounds pretty badass, but at the point where you've heard Apocalyptica play the entire song as a 4 cello acoustic piece, a fiddle solo isn't impressive in and of itself. Nonetheless, the fiddler, and the entire band, did a fantastic job and mad respect to them for it.

Wow, finally a group that can play this awsome song with actual good vocals!!!
Amazing..... Now this is what I love about music.....taking the chance to step out of your comfort zone and bring a rocking song to life like this ....not even their style of music but rocked it ....blown away and impressed...
respect to this guys, takes guts and courage to do this.
To see someone like Zac Brown play a song like this shows how much this band can take any type of music and show respect to other bands reguardless of the type of music. Great job Zac Brown Band.
this is the best cover I ever heard... and from a country blues band. life just changed
You'd be surprised at how many country bands are Metallica fans. I've seen 2 other concerts by country artists, that covered Metallica songs.
tbcass Who were they? out of curiosity
soeasysilo Fisher there not blues there just plain old "country" singers. well modern country singers. so, you know? not actuall country.
Tom Cass Luke Bryan did it during All my Friends Say during 2013 concert tour
Luciano Alonso I saw that live and he was terrible
ZBB is impressive. I like that Zac isn't on an ego trip and has to sing lead on every song.
Absolutely tremendous, outrageous, spectacular, country blaster, metal hammer, really really super duper cool. Mad respect for Zac Brown Band.
this cover has no business being this good. well done
OMG IM A HUGE METAL AND ROCK FAN AND I LOVE COUNTRY AS WELL AND I JUST GOTTA SAY THIS IS THE BEST COVER OF SANDMAN I HAVE EVER HEARD!!!!!
Well done! These so called country performers are still rockers deep down. Talented musicians for sure.
Bruh... WHAT?!?!?!
That was PHENOMENAL!!!!
Gotta love when known country artists get out of their genre and totally KILL a cover! :D
I was watching the Pat MacAfee show yesterday and they had Zac Brown on talking about touring and stuff. I think it was pat that mentioned something about this. Had to check it out. Glad I did. Sounds awesome.
The fiddle solo was one of the best I’ve ever heard.
Trevor phillips absolutley killed this song. one of the best covers ive ever heard
Hahahaha holy shit it is Trevor.
Well when i clicked on this video i said to myself "country and metal together? No way!" I was clearly wrong, this is great!
Ben Phillips this isn't country, Zac Brown is sellout mainstream garbage.
Try listening to Rebel meets Rebel (Dime Bag Meets David Allan Cole)
metal is compatible with everything!
Ben Phillips In the day and age where fewer people are going to see shows and fewer still are buying records, all the non canned genres of music need to stick together hahaha
Charles Jones your gay lol
John adds that darker element as well as that deeper and grittier voice to this song that Zac couldn't do. But moreover, he adds a scarier aspect to this song, especially with how deep he sings the bridge into the last chorus. One of the best covers of this song I've heard.
I swear to God, Zac Brown Band can do virtually everything amazingly.
+AaronThePaladin They can do virtually anything and do it beter
+Daniel Clippinger I agree. They are a talented bunch!
+AaronThePaladin The scary part is that they do most of them better than the originals
+Douglas Meeks - Not.
That depends +ApplianceOperator.
This is bad ass! The fiddle solo was incredible!
He actually nailed it. Didn't miss a note.
That's the coolest solo ever pulled off! Note for note, destroying it!
Worst part is that who ever was controlling the camera couldn't figure out it was the guy on Fiddle shredding it hahaha
Johnny Moondog Brady black is so much better
What he said!
I just stumbled across this video and like others have posted the fiddle solo blew my d@mn mind! I knew De Martini was amaze talented , but never imagined just how incredibly gifted the man is on the git-fiddle. My appreciation and respect of him and the Zach band just went way up. holy crap!!! so totally cool!! zach brown band ya all rule! would totally love ya all to come to my home town sometime soon. rock on!
True musicians can do what they like, obviously shown with these guys, they did a great job haha!
I love bands crossing genre lines. Coming from the birth place of Country music and being a metal fan. I love this
I'm gonna have to listen to all they posted on RUclips!!!
These guys are balls and put on a great show Hope you guys come back for CMT Fest In Kitchener Ontario again!!!
DAMN, chills, chills, chills, awesome rendition, didn't expect that, AMAZING
I'm a metal head through and through... ZBB nailed it, this is AWESOME!!
I have had the honor of seeing this band perform. They are amazing - ie - KICK ASS & taking names... I would go to their concert again.
Sooooooooooo much more respect for the music talents of ZBB….and i absolutely LOVED them before!
that's what being an artist is. being able to improvise and make something just as amazing as an original. I'm surprised myself. and I'm a hardcore country fan. I didn't think it was going to be good at all. amazing.
No matter what they play ZBB is a flawlessly good group of musicians.
You can tell this is just a group of guys completely in love with music/instruments and playing together. Because no matter what genre they play it’s almost always flawless. These men are true MUSICIANS
As a metal and country fan, I was not on board with this until he started singing. Sounds great.
I saw this perfomance when they came to Kentucky and it was incredible.
Yeah, me too. They not only captured the essence of this song, but they amplified it. Metallica should be proud of this one!
How did I miss this!
Working with what they had, this is phenomenal! And that guy with the beard is scary as al get out! The lead sounds amazing on the fiddle as well... One of my favorite versions of this song.
Nerdy Couple Games guy with he heard is Zac Brown lol
Syrius Melchizedek nope
I have nothing but respect for a Country Blues band who covers Metalica like they brought the fire to the flame.
Yeah but half the teenage girls in the crowd are asking their 30-year-old boyfriends "Is this one of their songs ... who's is this?"
That's true
Haha Yep but I'm 13 and this is one of my favourite songs ever I guess I'm not a normal girl tho haha
You are a keeper (when u turn 18)
I'm 16 and have never met a girl who likes Metallica
say your prayers little one
Seriously? People thumbs down a band in a different genre giving props to.a great band? And doing a dam good job??? Get a life. This was dam good
did anyone else fall in love with the fiddle solo?

Just goes to show that a great song is played by every style out there! Killer
I have been to many concerts, and Zac Brown was by far my favorite concert ever.
It’s awesome to be able to perform the Enter Sandman solo, but it’s a whole nother kinda badass to be able to do it on violin

Bro i saw zbb and enter sandman... I'm just like... nah. not metallica no way
3 SECONDS LATER
HOLY SHIT
lol same
i freaking love his chops! SICK!
Took me like 30 seconds to realize the violinist was doing the solo XD
he killed it!!
@@jimmy3x216 damn right he did! I love seeing a guitar solo done on a violin!
Is it a violin or a fiddle? Never thought of putting either through a wahwah pedal.
Maybe if the cameraman was actually focused on the amazing solo rather than everything else we all would have realized it sooner!!
@@dannymurphy4261 well, it depends on if the production crew, including the camera ops, had seen the song and solo in rehearsal. If this song was an extra tossed in the encore, the director and camera ops all may have been guessing at this.
Adding them to the concert bucket list.
Dudes like I've been waiting for this my entire life
Was very impressed watching this for first time....solo blew me away..!!
Wow I can’t believe he killed that solo on the violin! Well done sir
I don't care much for country music
I fucking love Zac Brown Band
Zac Brown NEEDS to do PANTERA Covers!

Zac Brown, you dawg you. Covering rock and metal. Respect man. 😎
A COUNTRY artist, doing GRUNGE METAL... honestly, this is nice. This guy shall be Folk Metal. im liking this guy more for his metallica reference in his lineup.
avril raven There is already Folk metal and 90% of those bands are more country then Zac Brown.
grunge metal? Wtf lol
The black album was Heavy Metal/Hard Rock...
Wow! As a metal head, I stumbled upon this vid and omg outstanding!
When I saw this video I was scared it was going to be too country. But they delivered! This coming from a huge Metal fan and someone who has seen Metallica live before!
Dude this is very impressive!

See this is what I am talking about.... I'm just a huge fan of bands that take other artists music and turn it into their own style. Now this it's just freaking genuine. Never in a million years. I think I would see this but I love it and hope To hear More songs like these.
Lars Ulrich is suing everyone who watches this video.
cerberus Yep the lawyer has already contacted me
This comment just wins😂🤘

►► Holy Ballz - Props to the fiddle dude!! loved it!!
Agreed 🎻
Zac Brown Band is probably one of the only country bands I would go to see because they are so diverse. I like some county, pop and other styles but my choice is metal/heavy metal and I think they did a fantastic version of this song for a country band!
that's pretty damn cool. Love the violin solo
ZacBrownBand is cool as Hell I wish I could download his
Music!!
I have a new found respect for violinist!
Jimmy DiMartini is a fantastic violinist, he makes the band IMO.
I feel there is no place for violence no matter what!! You should be ashamed!!! And strung up
Doug Forester you and your puns
I guarantee that you won't find anything like this on Country Music radio stations. It's a crying shame.
Finally a cover that was beast
this made my day, incredible.
At least 3,000 of these views are from me. |m|
Awesome!!!!!!!! Excellent work on the fiddle! Overall fantastic!!!
These guys need to do a straight rock album for their next album
This is just a friggin' delight!!! COUNTRY MEDAL IS HERE!!!
Jay Moore metal already has country it's called Folk Metal.
Got chills the second the intro riff kicked in.
