    I think i might have the same issue on my '96 850. i Got weird noises coming from that area.

      Remove the side covers in the boot and check. It took me less than 5 minutes to do so. If there’s any interest, I could do a video of removing the boot lining as well.

    Which car do you like the most Volvo 940 or 850?

      It honestly depends a lot on what I want to do. For cruising a country lane and devouring the miles, the 940 is second to none. Just cruising along feeling the engine turn out tons of proper Swedish grunt. For driving on a curvy mountain road or any other curvy back road, the 850 is king with better handling and a better soundtrack from the 5-pot.
