I've got an entire suspension swap coming up once it cools off a bit outside. Eibach Springs, Koni STR.T shocks & struts, lower control arms, tie rods, swaybar end links and the whole suspension overhaul parts kit from FCP. If it weren't an old 99 T5, I'd probably have sold it long ago but clean T5's are hard to come by. Still kicking myself for selling my 98 T5 manual transmission. I've put easily 2X if not more worth of parts into this damn car but it's paid for and cost like $20 a year for insurance. It needs a new power steering pump, AC hasn't worked in like 6 years, it's due for a new timing belt and I think the water pump gasket is gone but there's no way I'm going to attempt that one.
Excellent video, I wish I could like it more! I’ve been tackling similar securely jacking and rear suspension issues in a 2002 v70 xc wagon. (Compressed spring strut assembly). Your situation isn’t completely comparable to mine but I learned a lot! Dunno where you are but wish it was near Lubbock, TX to help me!
Do you fancy doing a video doing the rear springs. I need to know what parts I’m going to replace as I’m doing it all new. I own a 2002 Volvo C70. Like and subscribe
@@hoon5630 so I just got done changing the rear shocks ! unbelievable, took less than an hour and I didn't remove the mounts. bottom nuts came straight off. shock top nuts needed persuading with a wrench - but otherwise easy money!!!

for rear shocks it would have been better to lower back seat to access.

why can't you just remove the shock by itself? thanks for the vid man
you can, but with older cars and depending on the level of rust, they may need some persuasion as seen here.. lol
@@hoon5630 yeah you're probably right! I might just add another 40 bucks to the job and replace the top mounts to make life easier

Ah... I see you've never been struggling under a Volvo when it's 900*F outside.
