Amazing! Congrats! Keep it up! And definitely be more cautious! No more falling!!!! I’m taking care of my Dad now he had hip replacement then fell again and broke the replacement went to rehab and came home to only fall and break his other hip! I’m trying so hard to care for him now! I have given up on my FRP work. Please, please don’t get hurt again!!!!!
I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. Breaking a hip again after doing so much work in therapy would be incredibly demoralising. I can't even imagine how anyone would begin to deal with two broken hips at the same time. He is lucky he has you to care for him.
Thanks! I have to work at therapy 110% because going to the Bahamas is the only thing on my bucket list. Its amazing how many people are involved in caring for me. I broke my leg at just the right time. I turned 66 just eight months ago, so medicare pays for my therapy. If I did this just a year ago, I would have been totally screwed. I hope we get medicare for everyone soon. The only other countries where medical care isn't a basic human right, call their political leaders "warlord".
@@ninehundreddollarluxuryyac5958 Hey Dub, being at home is good. You keep up the therapy they taught you and you will be able to handle being a sailor on a boat once again. Bill
Thanks! There is so much left to do on the catamaran. I should go home around the end of this month, but I'm not sure when I can get back to work on the catamaran. It was always a little dangerous climbing on and off the boat where it is. I will probably build some stairs to help get onto the boat before continuing work on it.
Keep doing what you’re doing James. I’m in same boat had surgery 5/17 hopefully get out of here on 6/17 then another final surgery to put hip joint back in permanently and rehab again then maybe head out make another fishing video JT HOOKED N ROLLING OFFSHORE🇺🇸🇺🇸🐟🐠🎣🛥🌴
I'm so sorry to hear about your injury. When the surgeons get you put back together, you have to work 110% in therapy even though it hurts and is physically exhausting. My surgeon was honest when I pressed him on my prognosis. He said most people with an injury like mine (broken femur) never recover 100%. The harder you work at therapy, the more use of the leg you will recover. This is really important if you need to keep your footing on a boat that is pitching around in big waves. I hope you recover enough to use the boat at least as much as before.
Your moving well; Keep fighting!
Fighting is the word for it. Therapy hurts but I need to recover enough to keep upright on a boat pitching around in big waves.
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the encouragement, I'm goin
Awesome, keep going
Thanks! One step at a time, eventually I hope to walk normally
Great job !! Super glad to see you getting ready for the dance.
Thanks! Not dancing yet, but a step closer to walking.

James, you are simply amazing and always so happy!!!! Great job, my friend! I appreciate everyone who is helping you recover! 🎉

You are getting there, fighter! Stay positive! The only limits are in the head!
I have to fight if I want to recover enough to keep my footing on a moving boat. The Bahamas is the one and only thing on my bucket list.
Excellent recovery story. Great progress. See you from the boat yard.
Thanks! Next video will be from the dock or boatyard. I get kicked out of the therapy place on Thursday.

Nice job making progress we will see you on your boat in no time
Thanks! All the work in therapy is so I can get back to the boat.
Fantastic news James! Keep at it. Look forward to seeing you back on your cat doing what you do best soon. Well done!

@@ninehundreddollarluxuryyac5958 Good idea. Maybe not wear flip flops again too ! Safer shoes ok?
That is really doing something great! You are about ready to get back to work on the boat. Good luck. 🙏
The boat is a lot closer to reality now, but a long way to go

Good to see you up and mobile. You ARE going to walk out of rehab.
Thanks! Looks like I walk out of here using the old-guy walker. I go home on Thursday.
Hell yeah brother!
Thanks! I work at my therapy and get just a little better every day.
Wonderful
Thanks! I've wanted this for a long time.

Pray God keeps healing me. Thanks for the prayers.

You're looking pretty spy. Sorry it took me a week to get to your video. Keep up the good work.
Next video I am out of the penitentiary for old guys! Took me a while to go back to the comments too.
@@ninehundreddollarluxuryyac5958 that's great, now stay out. You're not old enough to be there yet.
Nice one
Thanks! Its taken a long time to get out of that wheelchair. I did not want to spend the rest of my life in that chair.
Great.😅
Thanks! One step at a time, healing goes slow.
Hyperbaric chamber
That would speed healing, but they don't have one here.
