I was thrilled by this video by a lot of ways- the game itself, you getting the board signed by the GM's and the t-shrirt from one of the subscribers. You deserve a pat on the back pal, you're doing so much for the community. I am waiting for your nephew's game. Cheers!
There may be a lot of chess players that wouldn't recognize the top world players, but I bet hardly any of them would not recognize Antonio Radic/agadmator!
Thank you, Antonio. Four days back, on the video of Nepo vs Carlsen I asked you to upload only interesting games rather than just Carlsen games and I think you read it and changed your approach. Thank you very much.
14:48 cant magnus go to the 8th file to check and then to the 7th and then move it to g7 if Kg6 was played or just move h6 if Ke6 is played making it a possible win for Carlsen
The So-Carlsen game aside; I love how willing modern super GM's are to make completely new games out of well used positions, and how capable they of executing them along engine lines to make winning chances.
Wow. You're pretty tall!! Nice of them to sign the board for you! Hope you get to collect them all! Also want to thank you for all the videos as it gives me a renewed interest in the game with a much clearer understanding of chess and opening and entertaining at the same time! Keep it up bro!
@13:37 if Kg7 to stop the pawn then Rxf7 as both deflection and protecting h7 pawn. Then after Kh8 white can now play g6 with threats of Rf8# and its gonna be gg in a few more moves.
Pro Serpant he says you cannot push pawns cause the queen would kill them but the queen cannot actually move from there as bishop and queen create a checkmate threat H7
Pro Serpant If white goes h5, h6 Queen cannot capture on g5 due to Qh7. If white h5 queen cant capture g5 and even after Kg8 cannot capture due to Qh7+ followed by Rf7
10:00 -- The engine is just fooling itself here with White's extra doubled pawn when this position is drawing. White to play (after Rb7): Bc4, and then either Rxb4 (abandoning the 7th rank to capture, which draws then after response Bd3), or Bb7, b3, Rh7+, Kg8 ...and it becomes clear that neither player can gain an advantage unless the other blunders. -- Thus is in fact the move that Levon should have played, as it's the surest way he can force a draw when White is up +2.5. The engine rating closes to drawish (White +0.5ish) after Rc8, but it leaves the queens on the board with s greater attendant "fog of war" aspect, meaning there's more opportunities to blunder versus a strong opponent such as Carlsen. (Fortunately for Levon, he did find the best moves over the next dozen or so turns after he played Rc8 instead of Qb3.)
Actually Wesley told in the interview after round 9 that his goal is now to maintain the second place in this tournament, which basically means that he's going for the draw against Magnus.
Entropy no I think is pretty tall. I’ve seen a few pictures of him next to other people like woody Harilson (5’10”) from what it looks like and from what he’s said I think he is around 6’3” which is fairly tall and an awesome height and I think this is confirmed when we see him next magnus carlsen who is around 5’11” also a good height and he is much taller.
Mate, I'm surprised those players didn't ask you to sign a chess board for them. You are a legend in the world of chess (not to mention the fact you stand head and shoulders above them height-wise).

Naka definitely did. I bet Carlsen did as well although I have no reason for that belief

Carlsen's signature move: Questionable Opening Theory
Following by outmaneuvering his opponent in mid- and end- game
It's a good strategy even on paper. Nothing weird about that. You want your pivotal moves to be seen as weak so the attack goes off without a hitch.

At 11:04 how going h5 h6 is risky? The queen cant capture cause it will be mate
If you go for 1. h5 Qxg5 comes with check
Why not capture the g file pawn with the queen at 4:25?
@agadmator Why would g5 pawn hanging at 11:05 be a problem if white is threatening checkmate?
Because it comes with check, meaning that levnn gets an "extra" move to defend with after the capture of the g5 pawn

11:06 black cannot capture h5 because Qxh7#

Very exciting drawn game. Interesting queen-side castle considering the position. Bold decision...
At 8:57 wouldn’t rg6 be checkmate in 2 and therefore a lot better hen rxf7?
That face Magnus makes in the thumbnail is the representation of every chess player's face who missed a winning move! 😂
At 11:05 the G5 pawn isn't hanging? Because if captured by the queen it's checkmate on H7. Or am I missing something?
you're right
At 4:22, why doesn't the black Q go QxG2?
The rook would have to move and the pawn structure for the white K would be decimated.
Best thumbnail ever.
Why did carlsen agreed to a draw after 14:38 when he can capture the a5 pawn then play Ra8 after black plays f6?
Well its still only one pawn up in a rook endgame. Probably still a draw
after Ra8, king cant go to g7 so he would move Kf7 then white plays h7 promoting to q next move
i dont see any reply after that
Bravo, I love the T-shirt and the show!
I don't get it, at 10:13 why can't you/doesn't Magnus move the queen up the diagonal and keep the attack?
11:06 h5 is possible because the queen has to prevent mate and can't capture or did i miss Something else?
8:55 isint rock g6 mate
