    Immaculate analysis of an equally immaculate game by Ding - quite impressive how cold-bloodedly he completely ignored Nepo's attempt to start an attack of his own on the king's side. This tournament is slowly, but surely coming to a head!

    After 14 seconds of deep thinking, Medo decided to occupy the diagonal of the sofa. It was the strongest move cause it permitted him to leave the sofa almost undetected in 10:19.

    Hats off to Ding, great victory, as always great video and analysis @agadmator. Btw (at 13:40) giving someone a dead fish handshake is disrespectful. Maybe for this reason it seems like Ding if going to kill Nepo anytime soon

    8:46, if h4xg3 (it’s been awhile since I’ve done notation) is responded to with nxbd6 how would that line play out? Seems like there are too many threats and if black recaptures the Knight there is one less attacker for the g3 square.

    The first variation with the passed pawns vs the bishop is difficult to assess OTB so no surprise Aronian chose something else

    When Ding played 19. e4 and Nepo replied with 19. ... h4, wouldn't 19. ... f4!? be a stronger reply? Not only it makes it harder for White to open the centre, but also Black get two pawns (f and h) to bust the king side open with instead of just one. What am I missing?

    1:40 no king walk please, best is capture the F pawn and then the H pawn and deliver a check on h1 to pick up the b1 rook.

    Seems Nepo actually suffered more from an unsafe king than he did from passive pieces. After all, he never castled. This helped his rooks be the passive pieces-all his other pieces were mostly active the whole game.
