So Jimmy White, one of the legends of snooker. Appeared in many world finals, a Masters title and a UK Championship. I remember watching him play against Matthew Stevens in the Masters, held at Wembley on RUclips. He came from behind I think to win that got the crowd excited. So to this and Jimmy reminded us all of his old skills that contributed to a great match. I had the honour of watching the whole match unfolded while the United Kingdom was on lockdown. Actually watch bits of it every weekend.
Man....That's just the way of the game. IMHO, Jimmy outplayed Ronnie the entire match but lost due to a few minor errors because he was slower in figuring out the speed of the table. When a match between these 2 pros comes down to the 4 final pots in a decider is just GREAT snooker. JMHO's....~Eli.
Great compete from Jimmy white, unfortunately he fell victim to a few bad kicks and a few missed opportunities and you can’t do that when playing Ronnie O.Another excellent upload Cesar, your editing is first rate as always.👍
He plays with a confidence very few have. He knows regardless of any match regardless he's the GOAT. Many play chasing a legacy which adds pressure. Ronnie's already got that, so he has no weight on him and can play with no pressure
When he decides to retire completely, he should know that everyone thinks he is one of the best and he should have won many times when he didn't. Not the best luck, but a lot of skill and experience. That's not bad in any means. :)
Not the best luck? Man's a notorious bottler! You don't get unlucky in a best of 35 frame final seven times. These days Jimbo be lucky to qualify for his bus pass.
Jimmy had great talent. But he didn't have the nerve to get where many most thought he should be. Also it's hard to really care when he acts like an entitled little baby and throws his cue around.
love jimmy...still cant believe he wasnt world champion..when you think jimmy and alex only won two world titles between them.big thanks though jim and alex r i p.for the wonderful snooker.x
@@edwardjones2202 Still, it is great to have a amazing talent that does not involve knocking balls into holes as we all know thats almost as good as being a Doctor or some other profession that is of great use to mankind, if accuracy while using a wooden stick to pot balls in pockets is your thing then who am I to disagree.
24:18 - Cleaning up the frame, we all just assume he will sink them all, but how about the cue ball control to finish where he does on the pink? Quarter inch perfect.
A year have passed and I still have no idea how Jimmy lost that, just as much as when I was watching it then... For the most part it was one of the worst performances in recent years for ROS (including most matches he lost), I felt for Jimmy so bad... Always love a high drama match though :D
The match starts with Ronnie doubting himself against a stunning player. Jimmy could have taken it easily but his own doubt gave Ronnie courage. That's where this ends. Jimmy should have dominated and I feel for him.
Jimmy has a look of desperation on his face, as though he believes that he could start his whole career again off the back of a win against Ronnie. Ronnie looks more like he's playing a exhibition match and it isn't the end of the world if he loses. Ronnie loses sometimes... It means nothing if this had been one of those times. Alex Higgins and White spent a lot of time working unorthodox flamboyant crowd pleasing shots whereas (Judd excepting) most modern players work on precision consistency. The rules do not reward players who pull off a shot of the century and then miss the next shot because their position was a little off. Jimmy would have been king if the rules accounted for novelty and innovation in play, but they don't.
@@consuelo1441 I doubt very much that Jimmy White thought in any way a victory here rolls back the years and relaunches his career. I would say Jimmy has more the look of disappointment on his face, as he should do, after all, beating a player of Ronnie's class and pedigree, would have simply been, perhaps, no more than a nice warm fuzzy feeling for him, a little reminder of the player he once was, but he didn't, and he had the chance, but most definitely blew it. And although it's very true to say about flamboyance and crowd pleasing when talking about Alex and Jimmy, Jimmy worked very hard at the game in his prime, and won every major honour, except, of course the World Title and deserves respect, and even thanks, for the years of enjoyment, and drama, he brought to snooker 👍
😕😕😕😕..simple errors and the frame slips away... (you could understand it if it was on the difficult shots but easy ones.) with only 7 frames .? .. frame six Jimmy on the easy black.. Ronnie.. missed pink in the middle Jimmy .the red with the very poor positioning shot just after And the thrown cue...ok that one could happen...but the others.?
At 23:23 Jimmy stays standing, because he assumes Ronnie will play a safety shot, but Ronnie doesn´t. I was surprised, because he knows him really well.
