Can you please review George Kulious! I really want to see a teachers view of his drumming.
Man I grew up listening to this band. This was a lot of fun. Do you take recommendations?
React Aquiles Priester - angels and demons.
AtomicCabCo yes I do!
@@drumtechniqueacademy or Aquiles Priester - The Temple Of Hate .thanks .i dont speak inglish kkk
Some headbangers thinks that a high speed blast beat makes a great drummer, but in the best condition or execution just sounds like a programed machine. beyond being capable of blast beats, Eloy knows how to groove, hits hard, at the same time being very meticulous and technical, dude's a complete monster.
I think it’s important to be able to blast but it’s on the lower end of importance compared to hitting hard, grooving, off count accents, etc… I totally agree with you.
Eloy is a BEAST on drums!!!
Igor > Eloy
Eloy is at Sepultura for playing Igor's drum lines, now try to put Igor to play Eloy's drums.
Hey sahil!
hey man!
Nothing compared to Igor
This guy just totally blew me away when I saw them live a couple years back. Small venue so I was front and centre and I can honestly say he is the most powerful metal drummer I have ever seen - and I've seen them all. Eloy is a true freak of nature. And a damn nice guy too.
A bateria chorou nesta noite! :P
Hahahahahahah
Pqp...
Força, Técnica e Velocidade...
I watched his playing right behind his drums during the show a couple times and i never seen anybody hits the drums so hard, but at the same time playing very technically and disciplined. He is awesome. Great video. Thank you. 🤘
I bet that was surreal man. I would love him and Aaron Gillespie right beside each other and see who hits harder.
And a very nice guy also. Had to chance to meet him briefly after a workshop and he's a pretty nice bloke
Check out Betto Cardoso from project 46. It seems the brazilians like to hit the drums hard lol great band and drummer
Nothing compared to Igor
@Lightbringer Are you serious? LOL.
eloy casagrande is really GRANDE...one of the greatest drummers i have ever seen
I am glad Sepultura comes to the Czech Republic so often. First time I saw Eloy playing with them, I immediately noticed his proficiency. Dude made it seem like he was playing at much higher speed that he actually was. Those tribal rhythms Sepultura uses really came alive :)
I love the way the bar is raising for metal drummers. This was a great example of technicality, versatility, and power! Excellent breakdown of his work. thank you.
DudeManWow this is a totally different genre of metal. The bar is different for every metal genre.
Usually not a big fan of these kinds of 'reaction' type videos, but coming from you, it's super interesting to see what you comment on and pick up on. Super cool man!
I think "Reaction" is a bad name for this series of videos. Analysis would be more accurate
Eloy saved sepultura. Great drummer. Great video. Thanks.
I was quite sceptical about this react type of stuff when I first saw you upload it. But I watched now this one and the one with Inferno and it was really entertaining and cool to watch. Never thought a react video could be this informative. Thanks for sharing and keep them coming!
Eugene Ryabchenko all ‘react videos’ should be like this...
I'm sure he's going to react to one of your videos at some point.
Eloy é um animal na bateria. Intensidade precisão contratempos e sequências fora do normal.
Eloy is a beast! Besides all his finesse, he's a real powerhouse! I saw him using ride cymbals as crash cymbals and he still made them sound great. Unbelievable!
By the way, great analysis - really interesting stuff.
Thank you very much
YouAllJackasses Honestly, I didn’t notice that. I remember just checking out his (at the time new) 2box trigger setup when I had the chance. Didn’t pay attention to his cymbal setting and I had to do interviews while Meshuggah was playing that night.😔
YouAllJackasses Btw. Nothing new about crashing rides. That‘s true. Always did that as well. But using a ride cymbal as your MAIN crash isn‘t very common.
Amazing! É engraçado ver ele rindo de surpresa hahah. Eloy do Brasil!

Aqui jaz uma bateria esfolada...
As an aspiring drummer just starting out, I would love more of these type of analysis! And Eloy is the reason I get behind the kit and practice now. You should analyse a Sepultura song he did called "Alethea". It's got an incredible drum intro which sounds like it's in 9/8 and I'd love to see a professional pick apart how it's being played
Really enjoyed that, nice to have the analysis and not just a reaction, great job 👍
thank you
This is my favorite analysis video, Eloy is such a great drummer with original style.
Eloy is such a great Man.
Great person....genious as a drummer
I've never understood how drummers play. Someone tried to show me the basics of keeping rhythm years ago. Couldn't do anything. Most underrated part of the rock genre.
I never realized how important it is for a metal drummer to hit HARD. That’s why it sounds so awesome.
You should check out his first Modern Drummer appearance.
I think he was 14 years old.

Eloy o melhor do BR disparado. Muita independência e originalidade nos grooves ele é MT criativo. MT bom
Kkkkkkkkkkkkk penso a mesma coisa.
i'm bassist and I can't stop to watch this channel about drums lol. Would be awesome this hi level analysis for bass.
Eloy a Fucking beast!
Nosso monstro brasileiro! 🇧🇷🚀
Eloy is awesome!!! Such a great drummer!! Cheers from Brazil!!!
Excellent! More than reaction video it is mainly observations and reviews in the technical skills of the drummer. I'm not even drummer but I really enjoyed it! I hope you keep doing this type of videos. Cheers!!!!
finally a review from somebody who knows what is really going on other than saying wow , awesome ,wow, great..
Such power and technique! Amazing drummer indeed! A monster drummer! 💪👍
Maybe Gojira Next? Mario duplantier?
could you post the link of one of your favorite videos of mario?

Just a shit ton of double bass. Not impressive at all
Please make more drummer observations because this is great to hear you break down other talented drummers. I would like to hear you analyze Chris Adler of Lamb of God.
will do...
This is a drum video for drummers.
I'm glad someone is noticing that
hi-hat splash. Also just a great breakdown.
Please review Matt Garstka playing Ectogenesis!
That was fucking amazing! would love if you'd do more videos like this !
Thank you from Brazil, your comments about Eloy Casagrande style are very good. I see how you respect him. I'm proud of you.
I'm a semi pro guitarist...and I never watched drum video analysis before, I loved every second of it. Please do some more similar video analysis
Sepultura -Desperate Cry live (Drummers From Hell version) 👈🏼 👌🏼
Eloy’s playing is phenomenal.
he is the best drummer i've ever see in my life. since he was i dont know 16....he was in a kind of emo band and we saw concerts and like holy crap this dude is a freak...now he is sepultura, the best metal band in thr world also!!! there is no other
No . Igor is better .. Even joey was better .
@@diogopinto9462nunca!!! eloy toca tudo q o Igor já tocou eu duvido q o Igor toca agora no nível do do eloy
I like your channel because you really get into the technique and the technical aspects of the drumplays, and you explain every little thing that might escape to the ear of a non expert person.
By the way, this one was insane.
I like that you actually discuss aspects of drumming rather than simply “reacting”. I’m only getting back into Sepultura these days and it seems the band has lifted itself somewhat, maybe in part due to Eloy’s contributions.
If you accept suggestions I would like to nominate the Intronaut song Cubensis (drums by Alex Rudinger). Or anything Dirk Verbeuren did with Soilwork.
Cheers 🤟👌
Time flies. Saw this guy in the Modern Drummer Festival 2005 DVD and he was sensational even then at 13 or 14.
I would love to see an analysis of Darkside from Mgła when they play Exercises in Futility V. His cymbal work is incredible
GENIUS FOR ELOY AND YOU, THE TEACHER FOR EXPLANATIONS OF THE NOTES AS HE PLAYS...AMAZING...!
Top 3 Drummer of the world today
ELOY IS JUST A FREAKIN BEAST. WHAT A DRUMMER.
Rip Eloy's cymbals
I don't think so, 'cause he uses great technique and control, so he knows how to hit them ;)
@@damage.0776 yeah he has great tehnique. This comment was more like a joke. But the fact is that cymbals do wear out a bit quicker when you hit em hard, especially that hard than when you hit them softly. I personally don't hit them neither too hard or too soft. Balance. But hard hitting is kind of part of this style. Great drummer tho
@@atterion3923 he uses Paiste Rude cymbals (not rude like Eloy, for sure ahah). I'm jokin' and i think that breakin' cymbals could depend from wrong stick positions and from hitting critical points on 'em, too. But you're right, man. Anyway...have always good music and good drumming! Greetings from italy ;)
@@damage.0776 same here and I totally agree with you man :) best greetings from Croatia
@@atterion3923 ❤
I liked Eloy's work before, but your analysis made me respect him even more. Deeply knowledgeable, comprehensive, enlightening and interesting: Yours is definitely one of the best channels on RUclips.
Very pleasing to watch Eloy! Great drummer
React to Animals as Leaders drummer "Matt Grastka".
The Brain Dance - Animals as Leaders
He absolutely needs to analyze Matt, he's incredible
Eloy Casagrande is a fucking powerhouse, saw the big guy live this year during the motocultor in france, and even tho i came to see many different drummers and musicians, he just blew everyone else away in terms of raw Energy and power ! Right old school way to play the drums, Loud Fast and with Real Power !
Another great video @Marthyn
I'm not a drummer but like very much your videos and explanations.
Eloy is a monster!!
Love your channel man! I am a guitar player, but started on drums first. This is very interesting. Keep it up!
"Hi, I'm a drum teacher and after this video, I will quit drumming'' LOL but seriously now, no kick drum triggers?? Eloy is a machine gun
Man, I´m not a drummer but this kid has got to be one of the greatest talents in Metal these days . This is crazy , complex, loud , unique ... this dude is 10xs greater than Igor in his heyday . Holy fukk ! Great video !
The evolution of Eloy is amazing i love his style such a power and armonic metal
I remember Eloy when he was really young around 10 years ago and he was playing drums for Andre Matos (ex Angra vocalist).. In fact I believe Eloys teacher was Aquiles Preacher who is also Ana amazing drummer and was with Angra for a period
Aquiles Priester*, great drummer, I love his work on Angra and now on Hangar, he's a legend.
Eloy is the beast on drums!Eloy do Brasil!
Phenomenal talents aside for a second (sure ..), the fitness required to play at this level for x amount of time, let alone for an entire gig, is an often overlooked but very important facet of why some metal drummers are in an elite tier.
True
@@drumtechniqueacademy I enjoyed this video. Your style of educational observation convinced me to subscribe and I'm looking forward to watching the rest. Cheers!
@@andrewrobertson3894 thank you very much!
Great vid! I suggest you to analyze other Brazilian drummer's like Fernando Schaefer or Betto Cardoso.
Betto has a lot of techniques and Fernando is a legendary drummer.
Betto Cardoso - song: Febre
Fernandão - song: Draining Me
Great, I just wanted to suggest Betto Cardoso's Drum Playthrough of Febre. :)
Excellent idea man!
Betto Cardoso is a best as well as Eloy.
React to Aquiles Priester
Eloy is better
@@esmeraldosilva5654 Don't start this shit with us, dude.
Nice comments and tips. Eloy is an animal; an amazing drummer! Thanks :)
I live listening to drummers analyze music. We guitar players typically can't analyze things like you do. You guys are the engineers of the band.
very cool! this drummer caught my attention recently, hes an excellent drummer. great with linear fills. you should analyze a matt garstka playthrough. he might rack your brain, though XD
I'm a self-taught drummer my brother taught me music theory nice reaction I wish you were my drum teacher
I've been watchin this dude since I first seen him in 2005 when he was 14 at the drum off..he's a fantastic drummer..he was this good when he was 14
Eloy é um Monstro super disciplinado, técnico e musical...faz o que o som extremo pede....the best from Brazil!!
Eloy é o melhor do mundo neste momento
Never heard of this band, but that drummer is amazing! I can't even rub my head and tap my belly in two different beats let alone conceive of 3+ different tempos/beats. Drummers are becoming my new favorite part of a band.
Really nice and precise reading of music Marthyn! You are, certainly, a great teacher! Keep up the good work! This boy is a beast!
Cheers from Vienna!
alright man. you need to react to Meshuggah if you haven’t already.
Great analysis, congratulations on The Channel. Eloy, The best of Brazil
there is a cool video of Eloy playing when he was just a kid, with massive influence from Aquiles Priester. I would like to suggest Dan Presland - "and plague flowers the kaleidoscope" from band Ne Oblviscaris
Nice explanation reaction !! Eloy must use only 26" bass drum as his name says Grande!!! Absolutelly amazing drummer and if i critisism him from the interviews is a total balanced person , good guy and great musician with low profile !!Really nice person!!
Great review, i love Eloy and paiste rude sounds awesome! I would love to see Gavin Harrison in next video. Svaka čast Martine Srbine :-)
Can’t wait for more!!!!
Maybe Deftones use the same size toms..., to get that special sound! When you hear Sepultura, the drums sound complicated, but after your video, it looks impossible! Great one...
one of the greatest! thanks for the analysis teacher! big fan of yours! cheers from Brazil.
Impossible
Interesting and original video here!
Hope you continue this series and the podcast/interview one.
will do
Now I need to go dig out some Sepultura...... love this music
Absolutely loved this video. Eloy is one of my favorites, he blew my effing mind the last time I saw Sepultura roll through town.
I woukd sell my soul to see some analysis of Tomas Haake or Gene Hoglan. They're undoubtedly some of the best drummers walking the Earth, but would love to hear a tear down of their work.
Got it, thanks for the analysis! Now that I know the secret sauce, I can play just like Eloy! 🤪
This guy really knows what's he is talking about!
"pAisTe RUDE cymbals are not easy to crash"
Love that quote.
But when done right, like this!!, they are AMAZING.
Eloy had HUGE shoes to fill after Igor Cavalera, who is in his own right also a beast on drums!
Cheers from Brazil!!
Eloy is a monster
@WhoDarestheMAN gamer "Just hard hitter" well ok if that's what you think about his technique.
@WhoDarestheMAN gamer He is known by* his high skilled technique since he was a child.
@@GuilhermeTeixeira grande Guilherme ! Achamos quem critique o cara negativamente e sempre fazendo comparações !
Intense work of art! Amazing !
at @4:43 one can clearly see that you are helping him record this video, Marthyn! ;-]
Re-watching this video again, as a drummer I really enjoy these videos.
Cheers

This drum teacher did pretty good review , I wasn't expecting that
What a beast! Thanks for sharing!
The Best on Earth..........
Ehhhhh no
Dave Lombardo might have something to say about that...…..even Delta Empire here on youtube.
Super entertaining and interesting, as always.
Thank you!
More of these please!!!!!!
Thank you..will do
When Eloy hits his hand on the snare, the snare says Ouch
Finally an Observation for drummers! Great explanations, hope to hear some Gojira soon!
