Lockheed F-16C Fighting Falcon USAF, Virginia ANG, Witty Wings Sky Guardians 1:72 Diecast Model

F-16C #86-0244 was painted in a special commemorative scheme for the September 2000 renuion of the 352nd Fighter Group. The colors replicated those of the 352nd's famous WWII US Fighter Ace, George Preddy. Preddy named his blue-nosed P-51D Mustang "Cripes A' Mighty", after a popular expression he picked up from the locals while stationed in England.
Today's example is from Witty Wings Sky Guardians range. It is 1/72nd scale and made of diecast with plastic accessories. The model is of the Lockheed F-16C Fighting Falcon USAF 352nd FG VA ANG, #86-0244 "Cripes A' Mighty", Byrd Field, VA, 352nd FG Reunion, September 2000.

If it weren't for the irregular shape of the nose and the engine exhaust, it would be an almost ideal airplane model. the panel lines at Witty Wings/Gemini Aces/Herpa/Jc Wings are simply excellent.

I dont find them too bad for such an old model.The two things you mention are maybe easy for a skilled enthusiast to change to their liking to make it a little better!!! 🙂

Now how good would it be if all diecast came assembled like these,haha. All my videos would be so much shorter 😂 ...You need our new patent "model monkey" for just a small weekly payment you can be supplied with a friendly monkey that will assemble all you diecast models with ease!! 🤣

@@avgjoeavglife we are currently experiencing high demand and are out of stock at the moment unfortunately. We do have a number of "Diecast Donkeys" available but there have been some quality control issues with their abilities to perform assembly tasks!!! So they don't come with a warranty !! 🤣

Yeah these Sky Guardian's range by Witty Wings generally came fixed gear down only from what I have seen. For me, thats no issue,haha
