- Creating an accent/feature wall in my home office using iron/steel pipes to support shelves for an industrial look. Here was my shopping list:
From Goovi (non-tapered thread black pipe) - Amazon doesn't sell these any longer:
1” by 16” pipe
1” by 12” pipe
1” by 10” pipe
1” by 8” pipe
1” by 4” pipe
1” couplers
From Pipe Décor:
- 1” by 2.5” pipes (amzn.to/3jBVpmJ) (fit through shelves made from 2x_ lumber)
- 1” flanges (amzn.to/3LYpxVL)
From TZH:
1” elbows and T’s (amzn.to/365MCXb)
1” caps (amzn.to/3uAuyhv)

Great looking project. Here bc i am planning to do simple pipe shelves. Kudos to your patience. I would loose mine or I’d only do it in solid walls where i can screw anywhere 😅

Wait a moment, how did you manage to get the Ls and the Ts in their place? Because i found out that if i just tighten them what ends up happening is that they face whatever direction they want, so you have to NOT tighten them? But then isn't the whole structure wobbly?
Hand tighten them and if they are not positioned right you can screw on a piece of pipe temporarily to give you leverage to turn it the rest of the way. Then unscrew that pipe and you are good to go.
