@@dddeoxys Yeah, seriously, no good could come from bashing one over the other. That's just bound to piss people off. VK probably has more classical training and is therefore better in that context; Matt has probably had more experience playing live and composing original music with a variety of instruments with a bit of natural talent on his side (I believe he quit classical training early in his life).

There are many great pianists with music on youtube. Their talents are impressive, but human. Vika is in a class all her own. Beyond master, beyond legend, she is a piano goddess. I think her skills are either alien or superhuman, not sure which. No one plays like Vika!

I agree. But in their day, it was about pushing compositional boundaries, not being simplistic. And if Beethoven did, on occasion, go for "simple", he made sure it was the kind unforgettable simple where every note felt like divine inspiration (think Für Elise), not a bunch of arpeggio chords on a generic progression. These guys were on another level.

Well, if you haven't yet, you ought to look it up. Live versions are especially good, as Bellamy usually plays the piano before transitioning to a guitar, while rocking your face off the entire time.
