    The key to GGG's jab is his timing and knuckle placement. He perfectly times his power jabs with his opponents momentum.

      I think Beterbiev has adopted it partially. His jabs have been on point last 2 years. Nothing fast. Just at the right moment and place. His naturaly heavy hands take care of rest

    No. He is relaxed. He throws it without weight until the end. It's jab basics 101. He turns the arm at the end. I know because I've developed the same jab. He also throws it off rhythm. He would set it up when you think he isn't jabbing also.

      People also never mention that diet plays such a huge part in the strength of tendons and joints. Golovkin is known to eat lots of fermented foods and quality meat so his bones, tendons and joints are strong from that also. Almost all Easter Europeans have this. Combine that with good technique and hard work it’s no surprise. It’s just the basics.

    He also squeezes his hands , which is why he develops his grip/forearm strength, a lot of heavy handed fighters have incredible forearm or grip strength, Check out many pacquias forearms. and Bruce lee was heavy on this idea, its a old martial art understanding. next time try squeezing your fists as hard as u can at the end of the jab. after a while if u work on your grip strength u wont need to use so much effort to squeeze your hand

    • @davidjd123
      @davidjd123 6 месяцев назад

      if done right, you wont hyperextend your elbow, it is a problem with new fighter learning how to box so deff watch out for it, but once u learn how to extend without over extending the elbow it will be second nature, but yes, u want every inch out of your reach as possible. make sure at the end of your jabs and crosses u turn over your punches, practice on the bag, stand as far away from the bag as u can trying to find out your reach without falling over your front foot, make sure your head doest pass your fron foot when jabbing, . @@youtuber-jo6pr
