- Today I prepared for you a selection of affordable watches with luxurious finishing and appealing designs. hope you enjoy this episode.
Cheers,
Andrei
The Citizen definitely is the optimal value for money watch in my eyes, Citizen are doing great lately. Thanks for the video
I fully agree :)
Where can you get the Tsuyosa for $300, it's at least $400.
@@tomcat1555you can get the older version but not the one in this video for less than $300
@@tomcat1555 of course price may vary according to where you live, I just saw it at a local retailer here in Portugal for 279 euros.
Citizen is on another level these days! Highly underrated brand! Hope you have a great week Andrei!
Thank you very much! Wish you the same :)
They've always been excellent in my eyes
@@redandblack1911 I agree! They are criminally underrated when compared to Seiko.
They all looked fantastic with the Casio Edifice being my favorite. I just like the less is more approach they have used in its style and design of the dial, hands and markers. It’s super thin too making it an ideal dress watch / everyday watch. The G Shock is a close second for me. You always have great content and an excellent presentation! Very well done 🥃
Fully agree you with :)
Cheers!
Damn that new tsuyosa is beautiful
My approach and requirements for a beater, besides truly affordable price (300 is probably a decent upper end yet 4 times the price of my current beater), is that it either is so cheap that beating in practice inadvertently does really not matter much or sufficiently tough or resistant that a 300 dollar piece can withstand a few proper knocks ensuring its good looks. On top, I prefer it to be a grab and go, which for me means long life, ideally solar, but possibly very long battery life. For me, a beater is actually not a daily wearer so much as for those occasions that my activities may indeed lead to inadvertent knocks and scratches.
After wrecking or sufficiently damaging three $100-200 watches in as many years, I bumped the budget to allow for a Citizen BN0150 diver ($350 at the time).
6 years strong with zero maintenance aside from new straps and spring bars. It was worth it to pay for enough durability. $30 Casio W217 as backup.
**with that said, I am also in the process of repairing one of those previous watches now.
@Vattiis_Happonnen with so much breakage it makes sense to want something properly rugged. I don't remember exactly, but I believe my beater has been going fine for over 6 years now. Obviously it has been knocked and scratched plentiful, but no substantive damage. Ultimately, my 'rugged' use is occasional, however, and I wear other watches far more regularly. Only when I think that I will be in situations where a watch better be worth less or is more likely to get damaged, or more remote travel, that's when I put on the beater. I think the wear on it shows that's a very sensible decision.
As someone who works for a living (landscaping), the only ones I would consider as beaters are the G Shocks; and even then, resin is far more comfortable - I wear the GW9400, and am buying the GWM5610 (understanding the video is about luxurious looking watches).
Anyway, great video as always.
I love my DW5610U! It’s the ultimate beater watch as far as I’m concerned.
Beautiful watches with beautiful dials and bracelets. I think bracelets play a big part in these watches being sporty and elegant at the same time.
I fully agree. I still wish they can offer rubbers or leather for them
Great video! It would be great if you listed the watches mentioned, as well as their model number, in the video description for easier finding. Maybe even try out some affiliate links for them. It could prove lucrative.
That Casio Edifice is fenomenal,my favorite daily watch, super light, super thing, holds up amazingly vs tear and wear. For $100 it is just insane and a must have for any watch enthusiasts. I have had it for 2 years and I treat it same way as I treat my G-Shocks.
i love you so much! I recently just found your mamacoo and i’m in love!! Your videos are so fun and you energy is just MWAH! keep living your life
I’m sure you won’t read this but maybe the comments section will answer. I’m looking for a good watch brand that has a wide selection of watches at about $300, a solid watch but by no means luxury. The only brands I know that have plenty of selection in that range are Citizen, Bulova, and Tissot. I’m not into the super cheapos, I’m going to be wearing them around friends and dates. I’m just trying to add to my wardrobe to have watches for every occasion. So far I just have a G-Shock for the gym, a fancier rectangular dial Bulova, and kind of a sport-casual Bulova.
Orient has some great watches in that range
@@vnollora since I posted that comment, I found out about orient and got this blue sunburst looking open heart bambino. It’s beautiful. Lighter than I like, I love heavier watches, but it’s perfect for business casual.
I have the exact same Casio Edifice. Looks pretty neat and goes with any outfit!
Same. S/steel, sapphire crystal, 100m w/proof only 7.5mm thick it never comes off my wrist.
Some are gorgeous. That last one with rich blue... 😮
Tissot is king here with his tough casio buddies❤
I wish Citizen would make the Tsuyosha small seconds with an eco-drive movement. That would be a great combination of style and technology.
I like the ghsock! What a hit!
Yes it is!
Watches are so delicate and intricately designed, so I have intense respect and admiration for MAMACOO watch makers
Thank you for your overview of these watches. I enjoy your channel. I think the Citizen Tsuyosa Small Seconds should be called the Royal Oyster.
Oh my good lord that Timex Chronograph looks unbelievable!
The small seconds Tsuyosa is absolutely stunning.🤩
It’s a shame the bracelet doesn’t taper but still a very good looking watch for the money.
Doesn't it taper from 22 to 18?
@@shaheerrahman87 The ,,normal,, one does, the small seconds doesn't, it has a slightly different bracelet.
The problem is that 90% of it has 18 mm
Brilliant presentation thankyou 🍀🍀🍀
Cheers! :)
Thanks for the video mate. Always tend to lean towards yours as your descriptions fit the watches to a T n when it's best watches for 300 bucks, it's so.
While some of the other channels calls Rolex a GADA, which I fail to see why, but to each his own, though some would justify paying 20k for GADA purposes...
While others just buy a decent watch, some very decent indeed, in the new or secondary market, in very pristine condition, at a tenth of that.
While some prefer to propagate high price tag purchases with exquisite tastes... You always propagated the opposite; cos that's just not true.
You enjoy lower priced watches just as you do higher priced ones. Expounding on their pros n cons, admiring the work or tech employed in them n the amazement therein... In genuine appreciation for their contributions to watchdom n even art...
You brought them down to earth for their flaws n assessed them, correctly, in their price tier. Showcasing why they should be applauded, in spite of the flaws, in the given pricing bracket.
You will always be, my go to watch reviewer, mate. Well done indeed, bro. 😊 👍
Casio Edifice EFR-S108D
Launched: who knows
*best description ever*
Yup :)
EFB108D-7AV has my vote.
Nice. A selection for the rest of us!
Haha! Cheers!
Good video. Good selection.
I have the Casio and it is a great watch what that works with shorts and a t-shirt as much as a suit.
the Tsuyosa looks eye catching. the seiko miss more markers than it hits🤦
Where can you find the Tyuyosa for $300, its £400 in the UK?
Where to get one of those premium Casioak mod kits?
Skxmod.
I would choose from citizen tsuyosa , casio edifice and tissot prx
All the people usin watches over 100 dollars as beater watches must be rich
Yes I agree! I think that if it's not their Rolex it's a "beater watch" They must have more cash than the rest of us!
@@davidcrandall4958 I wear a Casio to work because I dont wanna scratch my favourite watch I own, a Vostok amphibia I paid 150 cad for lol
No you're broke
@@salimxav1er No you're rich!
Seriously. If watches in general started at $100, that would be one thing, but I can get A watch for like $10. If I'm spending more I'm not beating on it.
All dat MAMACOO watches sssssoooooooo gorgeous!
Amazing video ❤
The timex looks rea,y great, also the prx...and edifice too, only regrets quartz
True :)
6:02 can anyone link me up that rubber strap?
I suspect you bought the Mido TV Big Date limited edition couple of days ago :-?
Yes :D the same day it appeared.
@@BraveBeaters arghhhh... was 100% it was u who took it right under my nose. had to go on quite a drive to get mine :)). hope you enjoy it as much as I do. maybe material for a next video ?
The Tsuyosha is listed at $600 @brave beaters
I bought it from chrono24 with 300
@@BraveBeaters Cheapest one on there currently is $345 and the seller only has 5 reviews with not all 5 stars. Cheapest from an established seller is $392. You either got a pre-owned watch or an unheard of deal.
Hi! Great video! Where can I find the Citizen small seconds in Europe (Romania)? Thanks?
Love this list. Thanks for sharing.
my dream was always a hamilton murph but that citizen is making me feel things
Casio Edifice. Has lot of unspoken gems. Solar powered/ GPS timing. Can you please feature them.
Bel video comparativo complimenti ❤
Cheers! :)
Timex Marlin are excellent choices.
Great content!
I would even add some more:
•Kuoe OLD SMITH / 90-001
•Sternglas Sedius Black
•Wise Hitman, slightly over 300 USD
Kuoe is nice, I should try one.
@@BraveBeaters A review would be awesome.
I love that gshock, but they don’t sell it in Europe.
Yup. I bought it from ebay
@@BraveBeaters huh, I just realized that you’re from Europe, too. Thought you’re in the US.
What wristsize do you have ?
The tiny crown on the citizen is a deal breaker. Hard to turn
As a broke boy and actual enthusiast who wants watch’s prices to crater, amzwatch is a good choice.
One man's beater is another man's grail.
that gyoza looks yummy
At 7:20 - Which watch is this?
Looks like prx quartz
Citizen Tsuyosa wins 🏆!!! That Seiko, it's still not around isn't it?
aliexpress, zelos, helm, orient
Maybe it doesn't look luxurious, but Orient Mako 40 punches well above it's 250-300 price.
I agree! That model is exceptional, finishing wise :)
People complaining that these watches are too expensive probably spend $100+ on alcohol every month.
Ahahahahah! That can be true :)
Cool watches but theyre all funky designs, i prefer sober classic style.
W Citizen
W Casio as always
W Timex
W Tissot
Citizen 🥰, if only it had 100mWR, just for security..
True :)
Why not orient kamasu
Most of the Casio Edifice line looks better than the premium brands.
timestamps please
In my opinion
Mechanical watches cant be a beater.
Yes quartz movement have a better shock resistance. For example the Victorinox I.N.O.X.
And also sport chronographs should be quartz for enhanced precision.
An elegant watch should be mechanical or not have a second hand if quartz as some Cartier.
@@iAPX432 yea I completely agree
Yeah these are all very nice watches, but they never struck me as beaters - except the gshocks.
@@lookatwrist I would put the G-Shock in a category by themselves.
I have a half-dozen G-Shock. You could not compare them to other watches.
And G-Shock are not beaters in the traditional sense. They beat the hell out of everything you throw them at!
PRX
I'm getting tired of this integrated bracelet sports watch trend to be honest...
Same here. I was never in on the trend in the first place, because I very much prefer straps and you can't fit a strap to one of those. If tsuyosa had 20mm lugs I would've bought one on release.
Agree. Same opinion. The power of such watches should sit into adding extra straps. To make them adaptive.
I never wore my sports watches on straps, so I'm enjoying the extra attention to bracelets right now personally. It is annoying that it *seems* like a cash grab for a lot of companies ATM though.
I know, it has been going on for decades😂
That seiko looks so bland. Citizen all the way
Make automatic watches, who cares about Quartz.
Below 42mm is a kids watch
IF you ACTUALLY think ANY aftermarket case is equal quality to AP then you've only had broke people with fake AP's watches in your hands as a reference. You should consider any other job.
I had some real APs in my hands and to be honest, I expected more.
Theese are not "Affordable" or "Beater Watches"!
Why not?
@@BraveBeaters These watches are too expensive to be beater watches! I'm sure you realize this, and then you factor in the maintenance costs, No Way! 7:46
@@davidcrandall4958dude it doesn't mean you beat the shit out of them, geez
@@jdssurf And BEATER means?
And beater watches don't usually have maintenance costs. that's one of the main points!
#mamacoo Bolsa réplica 1:1 con imagen reflejada, resistente y resistente al desgaste. Me gusta mucho.
